Was There Cms Base "webstandards" about the slash.

Basically, they're fixing their code so it validates - so it is correct in format for all of their sites. -
First Trap17 Site No pages, but layouts there
biscuitrat replied to Joshua's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yep, I was talking about the new site. The blue, dark green, black, and white doesn't really work. It has too many blocks of colors in one place. Also, I linked the validation URL to you in my last post. If you didn't get it then, it's validator.w3.org so check your site up on that. Make sure you have the correct doctype first. If you made yours in an editing program, it should automatically insert the doctype at the top of your page although some of them insert extra code. The banner is basically your title although title in HTML signifies the text at the top of a window. It's just site terminology. -
Biskie's Newest Template Vectorized
biscuitrat replied to biscuitrat's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Haha, I'm not changing mine. I wub mine. But anyways, here are replies in no order:-I hand-altered it in notepad from my template and fixed up some errors with it and IE (gawsh, IE = BAD).-I'm a newbie at vector anything so the technique of it hasn't gripped me yet. I'm gonna brush up on a style before I do that bit again but I kind of like the look. I went with the vector whatever because it was the only word I could come up with on short notice and my image felt pretty vectory. Or so I thought :/I'm not too big of a fan on gifs - I mean, they conserve on file size, but I like the quality of the image to stand out which is why all my images are max size jpegs. I try to make the page load fast though - I know that can be annoying @_@-The advertisement for my site appears pretty much twice which I think is probably fine. I like having it on the footer because when people scroll down, they don't see copyright messages that claim the work as their own. Plus, with an image editing program, you can easily take it off the footer. I think I may plan to include a blank footer just in case but have a watermark. However, the link to my site appears only once.-I was doing the clouds kind of freehand with a vector brush so I may have messed up a little on the opacity. There's one little pixel that extends up towards the sun that I need to edit and put in the zip file.-And the CSS/XHTML one has already been answer - thank you, Panda :)Anyways, thank you all for your comments - I'm taking the above things into consideration and hopefully I'll spawn out a better one later. -
First Trap17 Site No pages, but layouts there

I don't especially like the banner, the color scheme, or the fonts on your images - except the one on the header, which is excusable. The scheme itself is very hard to read when it's all combined like that. I would recommend learning CSS and putting it into an external stylesheet. Also, I would get rid of the tables since they're kind of beginnerish. Use div layers! Lastly, make sure your site is always validated. You'll have to insert a doctype at the top of your page first. I'm gonna say...5/10. Since it's your first real layout, I was a bit easy. You could definitely put more time and effort into your site and make it truly good. -
The thing about my latest template is that I didn't want to make it insanely customizable like my last one. So instead of having text they can change, I made an image the title of the site. To edit that would be to ruin the effect. I love the colorings on it and I wrote a lot about it on my journal thing along with some other stuff. And yes, it's available for download! And yes, it's XHTML 1.1(still checking out XHTML 2!)/CSS valid! Anyways, comment, criticize, utterly shred to pieces and then mercifully tape together - your choice EDIT: Changed HTML to BBCode

My site has it running, somewhat awfully. I need to get it to validate pronto

Farrah's 1st Sig what? i prefer psp to photoshop?
biscuitrat replied to farrah's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
It looks like you changed the hue and saturation on the render - that's something you want to avoid. A sig looks more natural when you just flow with colors from the render. But awesome job for your first - PSP is a bit more limited than Photoshop, but you've done wonders with it -
I used PUMA. It's a really easy to use PHP script and it works pretty well. It may be simple, but you don't need all that much for your users, do you?

I'm about to leave for my music lessons, so I had to make this fast. I found a really cute render and I hadn't made anything for Koobs yet, so here you go. A few of you might complain that the grunge doesn't suit Patrick in the render but it's supposed to symbolize discord. And if you think the relatively mild language in this sig is too ... I don't know ... graphic, let me know so I can fix it Yay Koooooobs!

Hey, Hedgehog Sig To Rate ...
biscuitrat replied to Holy Hedgehog's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
The colors are all right...at least you picked them from the render. However, the font at the top is hard to read because of the satin filter you've put on it. I generally don't recommend using filters other than perhaps stroke or glow. Second, when you're making a sig, use correct spelling - in this scenario, use "you" instead of "u". It's only proper English and it makes the sig a whole lot more mature. As SM said, the render shouldn't be faded like that or feathered as such. It should be the focal point of the sig which right now happens to be your text. Just my suggestions. -
Look, they're legends. I know for a fact that the messages played backwards by the Beatles are just coincidences. Do you know how hard it would be in the 60's to record seperate tracks playing different ways and still sounding halfway decent? Also, I know the Munchkin one is false. It's a rumor, and nothing more.

New One. Metroid Prime. Called, Metroid Styles.
biscuitrat replied to Frozen's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
That's what Johnny and I have been trying to tell him but he goes on making the default sigs. They look so much better brushed when you can actually tell what is render and what is text, when it takes more artistic talent to pull off something. -

It doesn't look bad...but considering it's not yours, I don't know what to say :/ -
It's pretty weird. I think that instead of having the dragon toddle back and forth from its hobbit hole, have it stand and breathe fire. The ghost that shows up from time to time is just gliding over the land to no purpose. Also, it'd be nice if the water rippled or something instead of having a stationary background. To sum up, it doesn't have too many roleplaying aspects in it as it does dancing dragons and ghosts that prefer to walk along the road. Also, Dungeons and Dragons is just your standard table-top RPG. It actually doesn't have too many dragons as most of them are very high level. So I'd be all for removal of the dragon and insertion of other aspects. Maybe a hobbit for that hobbit hole. (some mod, any mod, please merge this post and the one I made above it, and remove this text in parentheses - I was trying to deal with a slow internet and two windows open at once and the mouse got in the way >< - sowwie!) Notice from Becca: merged

The Word Game A variation of Fridays Word Game

As light crept hastily through the windows, a sudden howling brought trepidation to the dogs, shambling aimlessly. They yowled frantically, pawing only scratches. Momentarily, everyone ran, attempting, praying that it would help them escape the shamble that embodied -
My mom's had an Inspiron for over three years and it's worked perfectly. It also does help to buy a warranty because you never know what might happen. Now, with my computer, there was a harddisk issue which is because of Windows, not Dell. Rant and rave about how much you hate Microsoft, and I'll side with you, but I love Dell. They have good prices, decent computers, and good support (at least on my end, since I'm in Houston and they're in Austin).

They're really basic looking but we could all use a little work. Not too bad.

The colors are nice and calming, but unless the actual layout is your own, I'm not sure what to comment on. Perhaps your sentence structure and grammar (a rare thing in these forums)?

My First Popout Sig little abstract brush set teaser
biscuitrat replied to truefusion's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
He means that True's sig has the complexion of a blueberry. Or that possible the sig has a very tropical odor when sniffed from the correct angle. My last theory on the matter is that Johnny has a secret fruit fetish AHAHA I FOUND YOU OUT O_OBut seriously, he just means that while he loves fruits and all that jazz, True can spout out goofy things. Much like my monkey -
That or just look around on Google. Hotscripts is a script emporium, so look there first. But I found a lot of awesome quirky scripts from random searches.
