  1. Next time he will start nagging around you just say:"Stop being such a baby, cause it is getting on your nerves!" Ignoring him isn't the solution at this kind of people. He is spoiled and his parents don't know about education. Let me guess, he is their only son?!? Just show him some pointers next time, don't wait till your nerves explode. That's bad for you and this spoiled kid doesn't even realise what he has done wrong. It like educating any animal (sorry to speak in this term ), but fixing things after someting is broken, thats just a bad solution. His parents should really think about themselves. They don't even realise what wrong with their education and their son. After they are finished with that part, then they could blame others for being careless.Anyone read what happened in germany with nine kids, they were burried somewhere by their mother, don't know if this is offical. But I am very much sceptic about what some people are thinking and their minds.
  2. Hi. Yes page is definetly lacking with content. But you have said already that it will be finished in future.I like warm colors, only thing I noticed right on were that body color is just to grey and active links in your navigation isn't OK. What ever I am on Home link is always active. I don't think this is on purpose.I like your site in general, nice work I must say. What is this Wordpress? Looks like I could use it for one page for online changing of content, let me go check to wordpress.org.
  3. Oke I have good vision, but this is site for special people. The one that likes hurting themselves. My eyes got hurt after 5 seconds. But I like the colors, Idea for this kind of website is cool too. Maybe a bit bigger.
  4. Tyssen, I didn't understand that a bit. About preloading. But I believe you know this drill better then me. If you are so kind maybe you could explain this in more detailed way. Thanx.I don't like blinking websites, but hover effects are really nice thing to have on your site. Everything comes up rather fancy than dull. It is all matter of taste actually.
  5. Hehe, I think I have become obssesed with web site building and watching them. Yes if I hate something is site that blinks I have one from my country and I think not the only one. Clik here
  6. Thanx to everyone. I really like CSS and XHTML. So much better then Javascript with DHTML. It loads fast and it small code. If you have high speed server and high speed internet connection you would even notice there was loading of 0.5kB image, but if you use preloader then everything is fine. Display:None can solve problem for some browser, not sure it would do for Opera and IE5. need to find some good preloader script.
  7. Looking very nice, I need to find email script also. Thanx for nice tutorial.

    My Neighbors

Same here, my neighbour this music is bass only. Bought himself a huge bass speaker and now he enjoys to annoy everyone in neighbourhood. Cause I hear very good (proved by my doctor) I could get disturbed very easily And taking in account that I must study for my college too, while I work fulltime job everyday, I must say I could ki.k his a.s sometime in the future. Just joking. or not
  9. I can't say I believe in life after death totaly. Maybe there is life after death, maybe you will go to heaven, maybe you will go to heaven or maybe you will just stay here on Earth like ghost (Patrick Swayze) and you will have to right your wrong deeds. Maybe this philosophy isn't so bad, so you will realise where you have done crucial mistakes. But once you are dead, all your sins MUST be forgotten. Atleast I would do that to any person for my peace of mind.I think there is only one chance for living here, so you should use it wisely.
  10. Very nice tutorial, I love blue color. Maybe shadow should be black with some opacity aplied, just a thought.
  11. Yes, smoking is bad for skin. But it isn't only that. There are lot of cancers, problems with breathing, you are not in good fitness and so. You probably don't look healthy if you smoke, your skin gets yellow, you have bad breath and your cloths stink. I really can see a point in selling of cigarettes and alcohol in stores, while things like pot is illegal. Not that I am using it, but if you smoke pot for medical reason (it was medically proven that pot is medicine for nerves) then this is OK, but on the other hand things that causes cancers, put misery in families are freely sold worldwide. Ok, pot can be dangerous too, but ti is illegal.Nevertheless cigarettes and alcohol are drugs and should be taken as if they are. In our country doctor asks you if you are smoker, if you are then you must pay higher insurance. But humans are strange creatures and they don't tell to doctor that they are smokers. So much about being fair. My health isn't in good shape at the moment, so I am not trying to drink even light beer, but some smokers have cancers already and still are smoking and killing themselves. No offence, but I just don't get them. There isn't anything nice in smoking, only bad breathe, illness and smelly clothes.I was only honest.

  13. Oke, now is my turn. I live in Slovenia and then in a town with name Grosuplje. Grosuplje could be described as subburban of Ljubljana which is capital city of Slovenia with 250.000 inhabitants.Grosuplje is a growing town, last years loat of apartment have been built, so we are expecting growth of population here. Now we have around 3000-4000 inhabitants. Around Grosuplje there is lot of green nature, agroculture, fields and forest. It kinda nice place to live in. Wouldn't change it for a capital city that is.
  14. Oke, this is my second tutorial today. I was always pleased with CSS and (X)HTML. You can achieve lot if effect with just a few lines of code. What will I present you here is hover effect of hyperlink. So what we will do here. We have two images that are a like, only difference is color of icon. We want to have first image (link.jpg) to be shown will idle, but when we go with mouse over the link we want to have second image to be shown (over.jpg). Images are 16*16px. Ok let's start with CSS. First we will format body. body{ margin:0; padding:20px; text-align:justify; background:#FFFFFF;} No fuss here. Margin set to 0, padding to 20px so that we have better representation of our link. Background of body is set to background of "link" and "over" jpegs, which is white (#FFFFFF). Ok, let take a look at next image, where will be shown our result of this tutorial and explanation of padding in p.class ťLinkŤ. We see that p.class ťLinkŤ has left padding set to 20px, so that text is moved 20px more to the right side that it won't interact with hover effect images (link and over jpegs). Code for this action is next: p.link{ font: 12px/16px verdana, arial; color: #797983; margin:0px; padding:0px 0px 0px 20px; text-align:justify;} Font size set to 12px and spacing to 16px, which is same height as our hover effect images, padding-left set to 20px, so width of hover effect images is also 16px which leaves us with 4px of space infront of hyperlink text. Text is justified. Next code will define idle state of hyperlink: p.link a{ padding:0 0 0 20px; color: #797983; text-decoration:underline; background:url(link.jpg) center left no-repeat; } We have defined padding of hyperlink, text decoration, which can be none (no underline) or underline (underlined). We have also defined background image for hyperlink, which is link.jpg (idle state). Image is aligned to left and centered. Next code will define hover effect: p.link a:hover{ color: #797983; text-decoration:underline; background:url(over.jpg) center left no-repeat; } In this section we have defined hover effect, everything stays same only thing that will change is changing from link.jpg to over.jpg when going over the hyperlink with a mouse (hover). So whole CSS file should look like this: body{ margin:0; padding:20px; text-align:justify; background:#FFFFFF;} p.link{ font: 12px/16px verdana, arial; color: #797983; margin:0px; padding:0px 0px 0px 20px; text-align:justify;} p.link a{ padding:0 0 0 20px; color: #797983; text-decoration:underline; background:url(link.jpg) center left no-repeat; } p.link a:hover{ color: #797983; text-decoration:underline; background:url(over.jpg) center left no-repeat; } Not a big one for such a nice hover effect Next thing we will do is HTML file which will be linked to layout1.css file. You can change the name of this file to personal needs, but remember that you must also change link in HTML file which is: <style type="text/css" media="all">@import "layout1.css";</style> So this is HTML file: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd;<html><head> <title>Hover effects</title><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=windows-1250"/> <style type="text/css" media="all">@import "layout1.css";</style></head><body><p class="link"><a href="#" title="">Hyperlink</a></p></body></html> Let me explain this code: <p class="link"><a href="#" title="">Hyperlink</a></p> In CSS file we have defined p.link class. <p class="link">defines p.link class, href="#"link to some other file and Hyperlinktext that will be displayed in browser. Working example is located here. CSS file is located here. Critics, suggestions or anything else is welcome as always. Robert
  15. Hmm, is being a live a crime?? Or is making love or to love somebody a crime?? I guess no. So what do you think (author of this topic) if homosexual person asks you or tell that your heterosexual life is wrong. There is no wrong, there only IS. Like I can't resist to be in love with women, homosexual people can't resist to love person of same gender. It is simple as it IS. Kinda hate question like this, cause this kind of things were "actual" few decades before our time. Everyone has right to live and love somebody.
  16. My goals in life. Well, my first goal at the moment is to finish vocational college I have started to visit 2 years ago. First year went like a charm with score 8.5/10, next year was really new experience in my life, lot of troubles so I failed 3 exams which I intend to do during summer, atleast 2 of them.Next goal would be to find nice girl and to get along with her, to buy some apartment or live in one I have been working on past few years. Quite nice one.Next goal would be to find better job then one I have one, at the moment I don't find any challenge in work I do. I would even go for less payed if it is more interesting :DFinal goal to develop my knowledge in photography, maybe to have exibition one day of my photos. Yes that would be nice.
  17. 1. I hate people that are rude and dishonest. People that shows their real face when their sorrow vanish and you are kinda forgotten you ever helped them from their misery. 2. I hate heat and I hate freezing cold weather. My favorite time of year is autumn and spring. I just love this time.3. I hate noise at night. I have shallow sleep, everything can wake me up
  18. About ratio of usage between Internet Explorer and Firefox. I made a capture of statistics for my website. You can see it here. It shows unique visitors, so it is irrelevant if somebody with Gecko or IE has clicked my page one thousand time. It has clearly shown that ration is somehow 55:45 for Internet Explorer. This doesn't show true market ratio, but I makes my face to smile when I see people are using browsers other then Internet Explorer.
  19. Cool, thanx mate. Now even I have learned some pointers. Especially about inherit thing. Never really bother myself with this option. And yes, I forgot to write, when writing margin, padding or other properties, it goes like this: top, right, bottom, left.
  20. This will be tutorial on how to make a simple website design with fixed width and center position. This is actually rather simple tutorial, but hopefully it will help others that are new in world of creating websites. Website will also contain header, content area and footer. First we must do Wrapper. Wrapper is actually an area of fixed width and will be position into center, so that our page doesn't fall apart. body{ width:100%; margin:0px; padding: 0px; text-align:center; background:#FFFFFF;} This is actually an IE5 hack were we did center align of everything that is inside of body. Meaning Wrapper will stay in center due the fact, that margin left and margin right AUTO doesn't aplly for IE5. So this problem is solved. #Wrapper{ width:750px; text-align:left; min-width: 500px; margin:0px auto 0px auto; background:#FFFFFF; } This is code for Wrraper. We used fixed width, margin are set to AUTO left and AUTO right, which will keep your site centered in browsers like Firefox, Opera, IE6.., new browsers actually. Next things that will be defined are Header, Content and Footer. #Header{ width:750px; height:100px; background:#FFFFFF; margin:0px; padding:0px;} In this section we have defined Header properties. Width and height, margins and background. No big fuss. #Content{ width:750px; background:#FFFFFF; margin:0px; padding:10px;} We have defined Content area so that it has 10 pixels of padding at top, meaning that Text will not be touching any borders of Content and will look more compact. #Footer{ width:766px; height:25px; background:#FFFFFF; margin:0px; padding:0px;} Here we have defined Footer, which is 750px of width and 25px of height. No padding, nor margin. p.text{ font:11px/14px verdana, arial, serif; color: #000000; margin:0px; padding:0px 10px 10px 10px; text-align:justify;} This next thing is p.class for text. With classes you can define different styles of text (you are formatting it). Notice the padding-bottom, left and right of 10px. That means you don't have to use paragraph breaker, you just start with new area of same p.class and will show up like you use command break. Padding left and right gives space on left and right side of content. Font is defined as 11px of height with 14px of spacing (around 2px between lines in same paragraph), color is black (#000000). So here we will make a CSS file and HTML file which is gonna be linked to a CSS file. CSS file serves as graphical presentation of our website and HTML builds and renders our actual website. Here is the code of HTML file: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ website with fixed width.</title><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=windows-1250"/><style type="text/css" media="all">@import "layout12.css";</style></head><body><div id="Wrapper"><div id="Header"><p class="text">Header</p></div><!--Header--><div id="Content"><p class="text">Things in the future have changed dramatically. I bought Canon A40 in year 2002 and took several interesting pictures with it. Later I bought Sony DSC S-75 cause I liked its macro potencial. But I sold it quickly cause it had lot of noise in images and awful white balance. Just before end of year 2003 I bought myself second hand Canon G3 which I am still using. Canon G3 is very good prosumer camera with pleasant results.</p><p class="text">Things in the future have changed dramatically. All you need to do is to change code: background:#code of color e.g. BB9999; for Footer, into code: background:url(images1/layout/content1.jpg) no-repeat; where »images1/layout/content1.jpg« is relative path to your image for footer. You can do all of this for content, header and footer. NO-REPEAT means background is shown only once (for footer or header), whereas content can use command REPEAT-Y where backround is repeated vertically, command REPEAT-X will repeat background horizontally. Working exaple of this tutorial is here. CSS file is available here. Any comments are welcome, maybe I have made some mistakes by myself, so that even I can learn out of this tutorial. Best regards, hope you have enjoyed this tutorial, Robert
  21. Warning system is one damn good thing. It helped me in becoming not so impulsive. If I had a bad day I could be strange (BuffaloHELP know that already). So I MUST say moderators here don't get personal in any way. I have been here even longer then most moderators and never had any problems. I have gotten help even from Opaque if I needed, so I must say this is really great forum.
  22. "...and girls will be girls!" I think it doesn't depend on gender what will be situation at the end of relationship. But I guess men are rather strange in their decisions as women are. There isn't universal solution to this matter. So there two things that must be taken into account: honesty and respect. If you are respectful and honest to your partner, then you will not keep him or her in the dark for so long. It is such a bad feeling, and at the end you feel really miserable.
  23. Nice thing you have done here Although you can even spice it up with some graphics. You can make div class for every link in you nav bar and define some padding-left amd for every link you then define background image. So it will result like this: click here.
  24. I have around 40 out of 250MB used on my online email account. At work I have around 1000 of emails on my comp, so I guess 1Gygabyte.
  25. MY experience is if you get suspended, you get from 0 hosting credits to -4 or -5 in matter of minutes. Don't know why is that so, but I was suspended for 3 times now (don't ask me why ) so I know the drill know. I am running now in safe mode with +20 hosting credits and rising. Never had actual problems with not having enough hosting credits like I should have. Only if there was my mistake (forgeting to post that is, oversleeping).
