  1. well heres my opinion on thingspot being a gateway drug: while yes it can be a stepping stone for people to go onto other drugs, what do most people do before they smoke it? smoke tobacco and drink alcohol. they are the true gateway drugs, and are only considered less harmful because they are legal. they cause more problems than weed ever has.as far as marijuana being illegal, you just have to look at the propaganda that was out in the past about it making people crazy and murder people. you can't honestly tell me that the people that made the laws to make it illegal back so many years ago actually had an accurate picture of the drug and it effects.I personally have used it for a long time, and have not found any problems with it. Its enjoyable and relaxes me, and i've found that i can use it for other reasons, it can be used to help me sleep and also when i've had a big night of drinking i find it can settle my stomach so i can eat and drink without wanting to throw up.it would be a good thing for it to be made legal and for the hemp plant to be used again. it was grown in the past and used by a lot of people. it was the grown by george washington, and thomas jefferson.
  2. not every country has bounty hunters, some just get their police to chase down the criminals and arrest them. How can these guys say they're better than the crooks they catch if they break laws themselves to catch their targets
  3. i've learn't most of my computer troubleshooting by just copying the error messages into google, someone has usually had the problem before you and figured out how to fix it. you can google almost anything with the right combination of words
  4. ooo i love pounders, and de-fizzed pepsi would be cool too.probably my favourite meal would include beef stroganoff, chicken schnizel, mash potato, peas and corn and beer. with a steak for dessert.mmmmmmmm i'm hungry now
  5. i'm 23 and I don't have my licence, they have this stupid system that got introduced here about 4 years ago where you have to drive under the supervision of someone who has their licence for 50 hours before you can take your driving test. Now I have nobody to take me driving and I sure as hell can't afford for 50 hours worth of driving lessons. So basically I'll never be able to get my licence, although with petrol pricing the way it is I don't know if that is a bad thing
  6. i hate the NRL. i was a north sydney bears supporter and because of all their greed we don't play in the NRL anymore
  7. i've come across some huge problems with norton internet security, and when you try to uninstall it, you can end up with even more problemszonealarm is ok (i use it on one of my pcs) but it can be annoying to configure and use sometimes
  8. that reminds me of the guy who would do case mods on all the classic consoles to make them portable. i wish i had the skill to do things like this myself.
  9. I'm 125% australian. because i have a beer gut which is a very aussie thing
  10. well if you look at it from one perspective you could say Internet Explorer is more secure than Firefox, but you need to take into account more things than just the quantity of vulnerabilities. You need to look at how severe the problem is (a lot of IE problems will let the attacker have full control of your computer) and more importantly, how fast the problems are fixed. You will find it takes microsoft longer to release patches when problems are found. As for firefox vs opera. I like both browsers, opera seems nice but I prefer the way firefox operates so I think I'll stick with it for the moment
  11. it is very sad that things like this happen. the worst part being that if our government departments got the funding they needed (eg docs) then things like this may be prevented. I have known people who have had their kids taken away until they cleaned up their acts so I guess it works sometimes.
  12. i started making websites in html about 8 years ago, all hand coded and hosted on free webspace with ads. it was just for fun. I've only done a couple of paid web designs, mainly because i'm not that good at it these days, i haven't kept up to date with everything that is happening in web design
  13. well Xisto has been a pretty good host in my opinion. i've not had many problems here. I used to use some free hosting places with ads on your site but it makes it look tacky and unprofessional and you don't usually get as good a deal as you get here
  14. i haven't had a banana in so damn long now i think i've forgotten what they taste like . yes we live in an amazing place with such varied weather. I'm a sydneysider and we've gone from a cold winter to some 35 degree days within a few weeks. looks like we'll have another hot summer here, i'm glad where i work they have air conditioning so i haven't noticed the weather during the week. i don't have air con at home tho so i'm noticing it nowthere are many places in australia i would love to visit, with such amazing natural beauty. i've travelled a little bit already but there is so much of our great land that it could take a lifetime to visit it all.what is everyones favourite place?
  15. isn't there a way you could prove what hours you worked? surely there must be people who see you working that could back you up?as far as the hot water problems, is there anyone else that you could talk to about it? or is it something you can have fixed yourself?and isn't there anyway your girlfriend could come to see you if you are unable to go and see her?
  16. yeah people do just suck. the hag thinks she is good and will eventually get into the same situation with all the people who supported her and they'll all realise what she is like, but of course then its too late.move on and find another chatroom, its not like the internet has a shortage of them, you could even invite your friends to come and chat in that room without the hag.or maybe just get off the internet and go talk with some real people. real people don't tend to do things like that as much because you can punch them if they do
  17. that would have been my suggestion, to just hit him if he was being an annoying *bleep*. I'm the type of person who doesn't let anyone get away with things, if i see something like that happening I'll take action. I bet you slapping him will make him think twice before attempting the same things again.Computer labs should have a "be quiet" policy so that everyone can concentrate on their work.
  18. haha that movie was classic, anyone who hasn't seen it should go get it out from the video store.I personally would enjoy destroying buildings and things like that. While I'm sure there are things that could have been done better in this war, getting rid of saddam is a good thing.
  19. i've only glanced at it once or twice and put it into the "to stupid for me to watch" basket along with pokemon. I've never understood how people could watch shows like that. I must say though that my tastes in cartoons have changed a lot since I was younger and I can't watch a lot of the show I used to watch every day.
  20. emulators themselves aren't necessarily illegal, its the copies of games (they're called roms) that are copyright and can't be distributed. as far as the emulators themselves. i've always liked http://www.emulator-zone.com/ it has always been one of my favourite sources of emulator information
  21. ahhh managers, gotta love em. they're like that at the place i work, don't do anything until after it needs to be done. i've been working there over a year and a half now and there are things that needed to be done when i started that we're still waiting for. don't beat yourself up over it and definately don't let it affect your schooling, its more important.and as for screaming, maybe you could try and find another way to deal with it. a stress ball helps some people, or there are other things that you can do. find what relaxes you.
  22. i can certainly back them up by saying post as much as you can to keep those credits saved up, i have had a few occasions where my credits have run out and people are unable to see my website. that can be really annoying.
  23. i disagree with that. drinking is something that is enjoyable. and getting drunk isn't a bad thing. you're only an alcoholic when you can't stop drinking or your drinking is causing some sort of problem in your life. I'm 23 now and I've enjoyed drinking since i was 15. I don't do stupid things when i'm drunk, and i don't believe i have a drinking problem. I still manage to do everything else required of me.
  24. I have no faith in microsoft anymore. they say that IE7 will be a better browser. a more secure browser. i'd say that within 6 months it will be plagued by the same sort of security problems the current versions have. I personally won't use it, and won't reccomend it to anyone. although i'm not one of those people who goes around and tries to install firefox on everyone elses computer.
  25. ahh my old friend alcohol. I am one of those drink till you fall over and can't get up type of drinkers. I enjoy going out with my mates and drinking to excess. I know what i'm doing when i'm drunk and rarely do things i regret. I think the whole point of drinking is to enjoy yourself, after all you only live once.that said there are people who drink a lot in a bad way like alcoholics who can't do anything without a drink or drink every day. thats taking it too far. it all comes down to the person themself. if they are responsible then they should be able to manage when and how often they drink, those who are irresponsible will become addicted and become drunks.anyway, i'm off to have a few. CYA
