I have no idea what the pros and cons are of an internal wireless card vs an external wireless card, but i find that an internal wireless card can be very helpful at times because you dont have to worry about forgetting your external wireless card at home, or worry about it falling out, or worry about having it bent while it is sticking out in some strange part of the laptop.But if what you say is true that internal cards do not mix well with linux distro's then I'd say go for it, you would just have to make sure you dont loose it anywhere

Ientering in SOTW because it was fun-please let it be known this is my OPINION and if you dont like it tough, it is not an accusation or a person bashing of any kind, just my OPINION-But recently it has been dull, first with the SOTW that lasted a month because someone wanted to get more entries because only like three people entered, then the current SOTW that's going on a month now because lord knows why.... Used to like I think that if Xisto wants to run little contests or if they want to request banners like for the 06 Xisto awards, or the domain name banner for Xisto - Web Hosting, then they should make a different topic instead of screwing up SOTW....AND THEN, someone smart came up with the idea of giving credits for winning SOTW, then someone bashed that and it's not happening anymore... that would have made it allot more fun, and more entries most likely. but someone,decided to cancel it...basic point: sotw=down the drain in my OPINION

you can download FireFox at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?utm_source=firefox-com&utm_medium=referral and then download a certain extension called Download Them All and it accelerates downloads quite nicely. what it does is it divides the download up into pieces, and downloads these pieces and then downloads those small pieces all at once, then combines them back together and since it was divided into smaller pieces, it goes faster.

I made a bo-bo lolI've accidentally deleted those pre-set files that are in the file manager when you first register, you know those _vti thingy magiggers, well i accidentally deleted them, so i was wondering if an admin can re-insert them for me or re-set my hosting whatever you have to do.... thanks

since i added my own words to the description behind the feature, and it is quality contrabution because it explains what exactly is in fantastico. it may not be a tutorial, but it is kind of like a walk-through of fantastico, therfor it is a tutorial --edit---- if you dont like it WHATEVER delete it, put it in quote tags, here i am trying my best to HELP Xisto out in any way i possibly can, by writing a 7 part explanation of cpanel, each topic has gotten over 100 views, i will be sure NEVER to post something in the tutorial section without getting the approval of you BH that it is a tutorial, and that it is a quality contribution and deserves to be posted in the tutorial section, better yet i wont post any more tutorials at all, i will just keep them for my site.

no it wasn't spyhackers, they are script kiddies that attack small things like uest books and other things that are easy to get to.the password was not easy, many people have tried hacking this password but no one has been able to (I've asked them to hehe)They created a brand new index.html page, and i am guessing that a .html page overides .php because both the index.html and index.php was there and the stuff in the index.php was in tact and they put all their HTML in the index.html page

strange! the same thing has happened to me @ the same high school thing, right here on Xisto forums! -cough-hint-cough- but that is the only small-world experiance that i have ever had..... i realy cannot think of anything else *sighs*

ok shadowx, i have a question for you :)apparently somehow, someone got a hold of the link to the page creator, and made an index.html page, and i guess the .html prevails over .php so um like, is there a small portion that can be added to this script to prevent any type of .html page from being created? because i use all .php so i don't need to worry about .html and there is already a script in there that prevents a page that already exists so thats all good

before you even think about using the cron jobs, i suggest that you do allot of reaserch on how to do them, because they are very advanced tools, i think it is the most advanced tool in there, and this tutorial does not explain how to do them, but just what they are.SO google a couple of times and see what you come up with because i dont want you to think that by the information given in this tutorial that you can go and do advanced stuff in cron jobs, but if you think you can go right ahead, but i claim no responsability for any damage to your site thaat you may cause

lol thanks, it took a while to write it, including all of the pictures and everything but i think it was well worth it. I figured that by now someone would have written a full Cpanel Tutorial/Walkthough by now, but no one has, so i did and it was well worth it i think..Emjoy the tut's

lol thanks mike, i understand permissions and all that, and i didn't know that i had to change the permsions of the folder. But now that i do know i will go ahead and use the script that shadowx wrote for me since i allready have it set-up and all working

lol, my school has HTML classes, but the standards they have for this class is set so low it is almost pitiful! So i just decided to learn on my own and i have, i'm pretty much done going over what i've learned before, and learning some new things, the next thing to come along is DIV's so i can get off of the table coding and go onto the DIV coding *layout things* thanks for all your input

runeco, are you meaning for this mail feature to be included in like a member's area script? or just a normal script that would make something like i have on my site http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ that when the user clicks submit, it automatically gets e-mailed to you or whatever e-mail address you put in a part of the scrip If ^^ that is what you are looking for then i can post the code here.

Do you think it would be possible to make another side feature just like the Hide feature, except with this one it doesn't have the quote tags around it, because i have been noticing that there are allot of people who are using the hide feature in their signature, and i would like to start using it in my signature, but i think that with the quote tags around it, it makes it look a little bit horrid IMO, and i think it would just look better without the quote tags.And i understand that you put the quote tags to prevent people from cheating the system, but it's just a suggestion... It would also make people's sig blocks allot smaller without the big blue quote box around it, and just the Click to Show/Hide-> thing in the sig.like i said just a suggestion

I am sure that a cable connection would be pretty fast, but it would experience allot of Lag if there are allot of people on the site, but is you had T1 it would be better, you could try to run it off of your home server, but i think you will experience a bit of lag at all times.

You COULD watch the movies, but the books have allot more thrilling details in them, and have allot more important scenes that Warner Brothers leave out @700 pages, nonense, what you do, it take a vacation, and that vacation is the week before the next book comes out, and on the way home you have nothing to do, so you read.... atleast, that is what happened in my case for the most recent book. and i finished it in a 14 hour drive home
