Need External Dvd Burner Advice
Albus Dumbledore replied to Albus Dumbledore's topic in Hardware Workshop
as i said earlyer, i am using the DVD+R's and they are being read fine, but a friend from my dads work told my dad to suggest to me that i buy DVD-R's next time because they are better quality than DVD+R's and that most every DVD Player will read DVD-R But not allot will read DVD+R's unless they are new. -
Yeah, a glare probably would have been good maybe from the back side because the pedals (the bright white things) are kind of illuminated and in the sig, nothing is really illuminating them I am looking abck on this now, and thinking, hm it wasn't as good as i thought it was when i first made it.. lol i find it weird how this happens.

My Rant On Video Formats And Compatibility
Albus Dumbledore replied to Albus Dumbledore's topic in The Vent
Really, it must depend on the DVD Player then, because i am using Verbatim DVD+R's and they are reading fine in all my Home DVD players and my dad's work DVD players (he takes DVD's to work and watches them) @ ffanatics, that's easy for you to say, most of what you just said there was French to me -
yeah, it is completely possible, but the problem is the electric bill, and depending on your location for natural disasters for instance, floods that may flood your house and destroy the server knocking your site offline for days, weeks possibly months or forever.

Funny Audio Thing That Is Al Over The Web
Albus Dumbledore replied to Albus Dumbledore's topic in General Discussion
@ husker, lol i totally want to do somthing like that.. it would be halarious as heck@ brandon, from what i was told in the shoutbox, they cannot hang up until you hang up on them, or until they are so tired of being on hold because you like to annoy them that they call their supervisor over and the supervisor gives the authorization to terminate the call. loli like to do that, when they call yell out into the background after they introduce themselves "Just a second mom" then interupt them and say sorry can i put you on hold for a second? then cover the mouth piece and listen to them lol -
Are You Proud Of Yourselves As Americans?
Albus Dumbledore replied to Albus Dumbledore's topic in General Discussion
lol, when i saw your reply rob i was like he's from the UK what's he posting here but then i read it and im like oh..and anywho, yes America, has done some bad things, but we are not the one's who started global warming now are we Brittan is. They started off the industrial revolution by making factory's to produce more goods for the demand of more goods, which started it and America followed. And not only america contributes to global warming, just because we are the largest contributers to the cause doesn't mean the rest of the world doesn't contribute to it as well.bush is an idiot i agree !!! -

Problems With My Computer Fan
Albus Dumbledore replied to Dagoth Nereviar's topic in Science and Technology
I have a quick question for you.Have you ever tried turning it on, and applying pressure around the area that the fan is held at?The reason i ask this is because my grandma had the same problem with her computer, and you could apply pressure to it and it would stop making so much noise so we replaced the Power Supply (i believe) and it stooped making the noise, so maybe you should just consider replacing it? (It being the fan) because they are really cheap! -

Are Australians Like Americans? Do you agree or disagree?
Albus Dumbledore replied to Charlie's topic in General Discussion
I agree that Australians are similar to Americans in many ways, and i think that many Australians want to be Americans, and possibly some Americans want to be Australians. But i could understand why some Australians would want to be American, and i think it's because of the freedom's that people have in America. America if i understood my History teacher correctly, is now one of the most free nations in the world. Because if you look at Europe i believe that the government has total and complete control over peoples internet don't they? thats not very free is it? I don't know about Australia , but maybe there are restrictions down there that we do not have in America, and maybe people in Australia want to give up those restrictions and be free. But who knows? no one does! -
these types of things can be totally avoided if people in today's age took care of themselves. I'm not saying i take perfect care of myself. But i am saying that there wouldn't be a need for Energy Drinks if people got the amount of sleep their body needs each night, and that varies throughout people, because i know i feel well rested and energized after about 4 hours of sleep, but if i get more than 6 i will feel lazy and grogey all day long. So sleep is essental, but so is a well balanced diet. If people didn't eat so much sugars that burn in your body like *snap* that... then they wouldn't be out of energy so much, If they ate things like their vegetables, which has the actual energy that your body needs (See Photosynthesis) then, they would be set for a while. But people of today dont take care of their body, they eat all the sugars they can because they think it gives them the energy that someone needs but it doesn't... it just gives them a quick fix on feeling energized. Cellular resperation; sugar is not the essental need for energy in your body. Check this out, it is an example of why sugar is not good for the energy in your body. ATPz=Energy http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ If your body has to work (use energy) to burn off the sugar from the gummy bear's its no wonder your body is not energized, its because it is using all of its energy to do what the Potassium Chloride is doing. the point is, people are going to end up killing themselves with drinks like these because their body is not trained well enough to handle them. Maybe the youngsters (im 16 haha) body can withstand it while their a kid because their body is healthier than that of an adult's is, but just imagine them doing it as an adult.

pretty much as Blacklaser said, be aware of your surroundings...but something like many years in taekwondo will help you out greatly. In taekwondo they teach you to be aware of your surroundings, to be strong, and keep a good stance when walking standing, or anything else. And with that as well as a few years of knowledge in this field. Strength is not an element in defending yourself, it is about how you approach it and how you present yourself. just like size is not a matter, you can be the smallest person in the world and kick the crap out of anyone and everyone no matter how strong or how big. But yeah, taekwondo would help greatly, atleast it has for a friend of mine, she started when she was 4 and she is now 18, she had 14 years of taekwondo under her as well as blackbelts in about 7 different forms. she can snap your hipbone in half with one kick. And she isn't that strong, it is about how she presents herself.. lol but i would say it's a bit late to start taking taekwondo and try to get that good... :lol:GOod luck... knifes are always good too D:

My grandma loved this game, i tried to play this game a couple of times but i found i don't have the time or patience to sit there for a while and try to figure out what number goes in a box, i mean sure it takes some thinking and it may get your brain working in the morning if you do one. But i just don't like doing things where I'm not involved in it. I might download the computer game and give it to my grandma, she like them

Cant Even Connect To My Hosting Account
Albus Dumbledore replied to tdktank59's topic in Web Hosting Support
A couple thing i would suggest: 1) Clear your cache. If you have firefox go to Tools and select Clear Private Data, but un-toggle the password one otherwise it will wipe out your saved passwords. 2) Clear out your computers temp folder, *this sometimes helpes for for some reason* including the Loal Settings area.... 3) http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ USERNAME/ try viewing your site through that, changing CPANEL USERNAME to obviously, your cpanel username. I am accessing your site and your cpanel just fine, i a obviously cannot log-in to your cpanel but i can see the log-in screen. Might i also suggest disk defragmenting? Disk Cleanup? and a good ole fashioned restart? -
Cpanel Access for a sub-domain?
Albus Dumbledore replied to AlternativeNick's topic in Web Hosting Support
The only way you could do this would be to give him access through your Cpanel Information. I think it would be cool if Cpanel had a feature where you can give certian people certian restrictions, like One person only has the ability to mess with the Sub-domains and mySql Databases etc... but as far as i know, on Xisto there is not a feature for that nor on any Cpanel in the world Sorry. -

like i told you in MSN Messenger, i am absolutely in love with this poem dont ask me why, but it's probably because of the fact that you use "And now I lie here still and dead, his cold metal bullet in my head." and i think that's brilliant! lolgood work
