i think that cutenews is an excelent script. Cutenews is an easy way to get information out to the world using a script instead of having to open the source file then edit that, and so on and so forth with cutenews you can Login to a secure script, click a link and post a news post for your site.Cutenews is most definatly a good thing for my site because i give Harry Potter news to the people who view my site, and this is an easy efficient way to do this, it also allows me to make other user names where i can higher people to post the news without having to give out any of my vital information like FTP access, or Cpanel information.best of all, it doesn't work on MySQl so if mySql is ever down, the news is never down. But on Xisto the MySql is never down so i have nothing to worry about.

This tutorial is an extension to my 7 tutorial series about the Cpanel. The 7 different Cpanel tutorials can be found below. Part 1: E-mail Management Part 2: Useful Site Management Tools Part 3: Useful Site Management Tools2.1 Part 4: Analysis/Log Files Part 5: Advanced Tools Part 6: PreInstalled Scripts, Extras, and Cpanel Options Part 7: Fantastico Detailed Cpanel Tutorial Part 2.1: MySQL Management In this tutorial, i will explain how to add, edit, delete and over-all manage the MySQL Feature in the Cpanel. Creating a MySQL Database 1) Go to the middle of the page until you see an input field with the text MySQL Database: 2) Enter the name of the MySQL Database that you want it to be. For instance, if you are making the MySQL Database for your forums, you might want to make it forums. 3) Then Simply hit enter, or 'Create MySQL Database' -note- After you make the MySQL Database, it's OFFICAL name will be: "CPANEL USERNAME_Database name" so basically, it will be your cpanel username prefixing the name of the database you created. Deleting a MySQL Database 1) Find the MySQL Database that you want to delete in the list. 2) Find the icon to the RIGHT of the Database Name and click the icon that says DELETE 3) You will be asked if you are sure you want to do this, click Yes if you really want to and No if you dont want to. Checking The Database This will allow you to check and see if all of the tables were created correctly, or if there is something wrong with them. 1) Click on the little icon to the RIGHT of the database name that says CHECK 2) It will run the automatic check and tell you which ones are OK and which ones AREN'T OK Repairing the Database This will allow you to repair any damage that has been caused to the Databse. 1) Click on the little icon to the RIGHT of the database name that says REPAIR 2) It will run an automatic script and tell you which ones were successfully repaired, and which ones weren't successfully repaired. Creating a Database User 1) Go down to the bottom of the page until you see two text input fields that say 'User Name:' and 'Password:' next to them 2) Enter the desired 'User Name' and 'Password' 3) Click the submit button, or hit enter and you're done creating the user. Assigning a User to a Database Most scripts require that the User be assigned to a databse, this will show you how to do it. 1) Just above where you created the databse, find two drop down lists that say 'User:' and 'MySQL Database:' 2) Find the User that you just made, as well as the database you made before that. 3) Make sure the User is Highlighted and the Database you want is highlighted. 4) The Privileges are already set for you so nothing you need to do with that 5) Click the button that says Grant Permissions, and then you are done. Deleting Database Users There are two ways you can do this. A: 1) Find the database that the user is assigned to and under the Database name it says the Database User Name. 2) Find the button to the RIGHT of the Database username that says DELETE 3) That will un-assign the user to the database. B: 1) Go down to where you created the Database User 2) Find the Database User you wish to delete 3) Click the little icon that says DELETE to the RIGHT of the Database Username 4) This will delete the Database User Forever Access Host In most scripts, this field is already filled in for you as localhost but if it is not, when setting up the script on your site, when it asks for the accesshost, simply put in 'localhost' you do not need to make a new Access Host for any real reason. Just as a side note: Underneath the Database Name and UserName in the list of Databases, you will see a bit of coding, this coding can be used by people who know PHP and PERL to allow access to this particular database. At the bottom of the screen, you will find a link to PHP My Admin, once i write a tutorial for that, I will link to it from here. But currently i do not have a tutorial for that.

Sorry to double post, but i would like someone to see this post.I have really gone over tables in the past week so i am bored now and doing it.SO, i am going over the cellspacing and cellpading and i just have a quickl question. Which parts of the tables can you put these in? Are they only wanted in the <table> section, or can they be put in the <td> section?

It's ok to worry too much! Some girls like people who worry too much.The best advice that i can give you is catch her at a time you see her crying in the hallway and take her in your arms (like put your hand on her shoulder) and just tell her that you are there for her if she needs anybody to talk to.I really do not know what else to say but tell her that you are there for her if she wants someone to talk to in the middle of the night when she is up crying, or after school sitting in the football stadium watching the football players practice. Also tell her that you are a shoulder to cry on if she ever needs one.Just dont act as a wanna-be boy friend, act as a very good friend, then after all of this has cooled off, ask her out or somthing :blink:Im sorry that is makes you feel bad, this happens to me sometimes to, seeing other sad people if they are close to me makes me sad but the best i can do is tell them that i am there for them if they need anything/a shoulder to cry in.

yeah, as shunkan said, i would suggest an external hard drive for you, because the highest i have ever seen a flash drive go is 32 GB, and that is about $200. But if you get an external hard drive, you can spend half the price, and get twice the space. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se8&CatId=136 see, $99.99 for 250GB, compared to $200 for a 32 GB Flash Drive. You would just have to make sure that your computer has the USB 2.0 compatibility, otherwise it will not work. I would not suggest using Firewire because most computers do not have a port for that allready put in and it's somthing you will need to put in yourself. And with the one listed above, you can back-up your computer as well as store other things on! taking a load off of you internal hard drive and putting it on your external hard drive essentally making your computer go faster.... yes i would say they are, but the thing that is ashame is that it is built in Geocities, then they just go to View Source and copy the Source code into pages and put them onto their server >_< anyways thanks for your input

allright thanks randomdood, if i do need any help i will be sure to let you know, i havent written the rest of the tutorial's recently, this 7 part tutorial really took the tutorial writing spirit out of me for a while but they will get done some day, and if i do need help and you are still around i will be sure to let you know!!i hope these series of Cpanel Tutorials will help someone understand what is in Cpanel, and what they can do in Cpanel allot easier than just looking at the titles etc...

lol yeah, and there are like 5 different formats of MPEG's so if you are trying to convert or anything you need to know exactly which type you have and it is a pain in the but to try and figure out. like i said before, there should be one file type for video's and that is AVI, it is easy to understand, easy to encode/decode, and then for music/sound there should only be MP3 that would be awsome

with the information that i got from these posts i think i would be able to do it myself, and even if i couldn't do it myself i can get cheaper than that try free i love haveing friends that have dads that are complete computer/software/hardware geeks thanks everyone for your advice

yeah, that would add some extra effects to it, but the point is to kind of get it to look like the Harry Potter text that is on the covers of the book, and that is as close as i could get it.

i absoloutley love FireFox 2.0.The reason i do is becuase more or less of the spell check! i need it trust me!I also like the addon that they have added on that when firefox crashes, it automatically on the next restart asks you if you want to open the last session or start a new session, and best of all, it even puts the text you were typing back, so if you had a post worth 50 credits going, and Firefox crashed on you because you were also downloading music, burning a movie, and converting a movie to DVD format.... then it will automaticaally put all of that text back for you.FF is more superior IMO to all browsers... out of all the ones i've used, it uses up the least Ram or CPU usage out of IE, Opera, and other browsers... and i also find it the safest

I was reading the shoutbox rules again and came across somthing new.I see that Xisto - Web Hosting.com is missing from the list of Xisto sites... just thought i'd add that alsowhat is antilost.com? and when i go to it it says it will re-direct me to the forums, but then it shows it's been hacked my the Script kiddies who seeem to be targeting Xisto sites. But can someone explain the antilost.com?

Ok,I recently downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird to try and configure it to my websites e-mail, so i can recieve and send mail through it. But it's not working for meIn the Cpanel mail management it says that the outgoing and imcoming are both mail.hogwartsmagic.netcan someone help me configre this?

As i am sure you have allready done, is to read the Xisto readme :lol:UMM just remember not to post the same things here that you post over there and vice versa, its a big old thing about original content. Enjoy Xisto I think you will like it more than Xisto because it is allot more active, and has the most updated stuff, like the shoutbox.

as many people have said before, it depends on whether it is a chosen thing, or if it is an unchoosable thing. For instance, there is a desies out there that makes birth in the Addams apple (located in the throat) that makes someone feel like they are never satisfied no matter how much food they eat. which, in the end makes them bigger.Then there are some people who were born with abnormally large stomaches and are capible of eating a WHOLE lot and that too will result in them getting bigger. this is an un-avoidable thingThen there are the idiots that CHOOSE to stuff their faces and expand their stomaches themselves. now this is a choice they decide to make on their own. and it is avoidable..For the last two choices, there is an option to stop the 'fatness' and that is to have a band surgically put around your stomach that reduces the size of your stomach making you feel full after a small amount of food, or a doctor's advised amount of food. You can even adjust the size of this band with a small lever that is supposabley brought out to your side.The reason i know this is because my grandpa before he died was planning on getting this band surgery done and the doctor explained to him some of the possible reasons why he was 'fat'
