Sobriety Of Forum Members (poll) Are you completely HIGH???
arnz replied to Watermonkey's topic in General Discussion
Normally for me its sober, although if its on a real hot night and i'm not really doing anything apart from reading this forum, and the other sites I visit, then perhaps i might grab a light, or a mid-strength beer or two.. Living further out in the northern suburbs'.. we get a bit more space and is slightly more spaced out. -
The windies of the late 80s, and to a lesser extent the early 90s were very good teams. Was also the rise of Brian Lara in the early 90s too. Its a shame about their decline and being caught unprepared for the future at the time.

World Of Warcraft Mmorpg Lets play online. Tell me your server.
arnz replied to Trystim's topic in Computer Gaming
After having a horde main on Thaurissan (PVP), and a ally main on Aman'Thul (PVE), I'll have to say that the more hard core PVP-ers play horde, while the newbies and casual gamers tend to pick alliance. On the WoW forums there is the everending argument of faction pride, immaturity, generalisations, etc.. Although I dont tend to believe all that, as I found my share of idiots and immature people from both sides. -
Hypocrisy And Lies Why do people do that even if they dont have to?
arnz replied to velma's topic in General Discussion
Have to agree lying on occasions is a instinct or a spur of the moment kind of thing, just to get yourself out of trouble, or a bad situation. But in many cases, it does seem to get back at you down the track. A radio show recently had a segment on "telling the truth/confess" type of segment, where some people confess to being the real culprit after some years (one case even had 25 years!). Theres been one case where a plate was spilt on a young kids head, and the older sister blamed it on the cat.. only to confess 20 years later, and the parents still dont believe her! -
Slept in on Saturday after a night of drinks, woke up early morning.. had a drive to the beach.. went fishing.. had lunch.. came home.. then played World of Warcraft for the rest of the afternoon.

Hussey hasnt been in the best of form in the World Cup so far, but it wont be far away before he makes a contributable score to a vital match at some point in the super 8s.
-
I've followed the scores in this tourny, but due to not having pay tv, I've only got to see a few matches on TV. While I noticed the crowd turnouts are disappointing for the hosts, there has also been some controversial events (Eg drugs), and even the Pakistan Coach Bob Woolmer murdered under controversial circumstances (this would've made the news everywhere). However, I must applaud the organisers for letting Cricket's showcase event go on, despite the passing away of Bob Woolmer (under rather suspicious circumstances - according to the police).

Welcome aboard to Xisto. I am from Queensland, Australia. As the others said, I'll suggest reading up on the Trap 17 Rules though, as short posts that dont serve a point, or either just spam are generally frowned upon. For a start, tell us more about you?. What do you do? where are you from? How old are you?

Who Is Your Favourite Cartoon Hero powerful justicial avatar
arnz replied to hulunes's topic in General Discussion
Have to say x-men, Spiderman and Batman. Watched the latter 2 during my younger days, also some Japanese translations (eg Dragonball, Samurai Supercats (LOL)) weren't too bad either during my late days in primary school/early high school years... But some cartoons are so long ago, but another fav is also from the simpsons.. Have to say Bart/Lisa solving mysteries.. or to a lesser extent Homer Simpson doing a 'err Homer Simpson', meaning 'to suceed, despite idiocy' .. per the dictionary on the show -
Had played Cricket, Basketball in younger days.. pretty good to play if you ask me.I Watch Rugby League, Soccer (English Premier League, Australia's A-League), Union (Only the tests - whether the wallabies are involved or not), Australian Rules football.

Mascot Phobia cant understand why some are afraid of mascots
arnz replied to serverph's topic in General Discussion
Frankly, if a mascot kept jumping around in my face, I'd probably would be quite annoyed rather than scared. Probably more difficult trying to punch em if they kept moving in your face all the time. -
Accident-free Highways If you were offered safer roads...
arnz replied to salamangkero's topic in General Discussion
Oh, a tough one. It has its positive and negatives, yet.. there are some out there willing to give it up for the sake of the nation, but to a lesser extent through other causes rather than war. But one thing that would never change, most people will still take the car over other means of transports, despite advertising and other means showing alternatives such as walking, public transport, riding a bike, and so forth. While the proposal, has its positive and negatives. Unfortunately the negatives could overshadow the positives, what if the family involved continued in their attempt to sue those concerned untill they were successful. That would lead to a bit of bad publicity, considering many press tend to focus on the negatives rather than positives. -
Brisbane Bears/Lions supporter since 1994. At the time, they were on the bottom of ladder and went through controversy after controversy (eg Skase, playing out of Gold Caost) untill they finally were able to settle at the Gabba and start playing. Remember the time when they were the only team to challenge 1995 premiers Carlton in the final series.

World Of Warcaft Free Trials? Anywhere I can get one?
arnz replied to Voidless_Shadows's topic in Computer Gaming
Or Alternatively, when a mate gets a game, theres usually a 10-day pass with a code on it. No need for specific CD, just borrow a CD from a mate. -
As an outsider, I probably dont really care. But considering the diversity of the candidates, its gonna be really interesting, especially if Hilary Clinton gets through and eventually wins the presidential election (thus presidents go.. Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton)..

World Of Warcraft And The Battlegrounds some info if you please
arnz replied to shadowx's topic in Computer Gaming
The red portal used to take the player directly to the BG if entering from the actual BG entrance (eg Arathi Basin in Arathi Highlands). But since the TBC expansion, they've made it redundant and put a battlemaster in front instead (eg like entering the bg from a capital city). The red portal is just there for well.. decoration reason those days. Also as said earlier, every BG has a holiday weekend, which during that period honour gained off those BGs are doubled. -
Its up to you to choose which girl is the right one for you. As the above poster says, you have to be honest with both of these women. Having been in a situation in the past where I've been with one girl, only for another one to go after me (eg having to tell the later to "just be friends" etc)

Depends on the ISP, some could change with the click of "repair" connection, or when the connection goes down for whatever reason. I have ADSL, so my IP stays untill it gets disconnected for whatever reason, or whether i decide to repair the connection when the connection is either slow.

What Football Team Is Your Favorite? Post here
arnz replied to Desertsniper's topic in General Discussion
Sometimes a watcher of Liverpool FC in the premier league in England. As for here in Australia. Brisbane Lions football club in the Australian Football League (Aussie Rules Football, AFL the name of the premier competition). As for Rugby League, the Manly-Warringah Seaeagles since 92. When it comes to rep games (eg League state of Origin, Queensland of course), and then Australia in most sports, especially Cricket. -
I have to say equal treatment applies, regardless of race, gender or preference. None of that comes to criteria when either at interviews, public places or so forth. For example, "women only at librarys" or "men only pubs" (rare) etc, may be around, but all people should still be treated as they want to be treated. Not activists, etc making more chaos and divisions.

Would have to agree with many of the above. Money in the bank, is very similar to money in the pocket. It all depends on how much you got, for example 5 dollars in pocket may get u a lesser item, while having 10 dollars may get you either a better item, or more of the lesser item (eg 5 may get you a McD's meal, but 10 may get you either a large McDs meal or 2 regular size McD's meals).

Not a fan of Blood Elves, although it was funny watching the starting zones of BE and Dranei (well on my main's server) become a bit like the infamed "Barrens Chat" for a while, well minus the Chuck Norris jokes. Although I would've liked to see the "Forest Trolls" instead of Dranei become the new Alliance faction. Would've put a new story on the Blood Elfs/Night Elfs and Darkspear Trolls/Forest Trolls situation.

IT seems capture the flag has made its way into many computer games.. especially after playing it in unreal tournament (various versions) some time ago.. Its still in games today (esp World of Warcraft battlegrounds).
