out of those choices i would say flash games. every once in awhile i play a game of poker but i dont play the others. theres lots of flash games everywhere so if im stuck and dont have anything at all to do, they are always there to pass the time, especially when in school when you are stuck in a class with computers that you only work for half the period.

yea ive got one too. its a PNY but its only 128mb, but ive had it for a long time. so until i start putting large image files (especially photoshop files) or music on it, i wont have to upgrade for awhile.these things are soo much more reliable than the old floppy disks. it used to be so bad when you are working on something and all of the sudden the floppy is corrupted and you cant open the stuff you saved. ive tried to take some of my old files off of my floppy disks but i cant becuase many are messed up. i am yet to have any problems whatsoever with my flash drive. its also nice to be able to have all of you files in one place, instead of forgetting which floppy you saved your project on.and another good thing about them is that the price is pretty cheap also. especially if you find ones with rebates or whatever you can get a really good deal.

my school has an ok budget for technology stuff. they replace the computers like every other year in some parts of the school. they are not top of the line or anything but they are good enough to get the job done. But i agree that schools really need to expand the curriculum in the technology area. two years ago i took a website authoring class and they hardly teach you anything. they tell you the basics and make you use frames (which i rarely see used anymore). then they put you on dreamweaver which does everything for you, so if you didnt understand things in the first place, it didnt really matter. and everything i do seems to be almost self-taught stuff in school. the teachers hardly do anything except give you a book to read or an assignment. it just seems that technology is speeding ahead while a lot of the education about the technology is just lagging behind in many schools.

wow that is a really nice picture. if only i knew how to draw. well i think im pretty good at drawing stick figures, but beyond that your asking for trouble.

isnt emailing it just going to be about the same as downloading it? its still going to take a long time. now someone should take all of those files and make a website and categorize all of them. until then, im not going to download the set.

go to good-tutorials.com or pixel2life.com and click on any of the tutorials. then go to the main pages of the sites and look at the layouts, as long as they are not just complete forum sites. when you see a couple you like bookmark them to look at later. that is what i did when i first tried to develop a site to get some ideas of what i liked. even if you just like one part of a site, you can use that idea and make it fit with everything else you do.

make the background colored. maybe get rid of the scan lines. i dont really know how to say it but maybe make the background like a dark metal.another sig idea for a similar one would be to just have the batman symbol.

first of all, i think you should get rid of the border you have. if you look over by the balls, you can see some of the border airbrushed over the balls. i dont think this looks good. just stick with a pixel border. are the pool balls all separate renders? it looks like you used the two-ball twice (i know its picky but hey). get a different colored ball to put in the bottom right. the background looks okay but maybe make it a darker green and make it look more like pool table felt. if not that, then try to make the balls and the background go more together. now just because i said all of that does not mean that its a bad sig. i actually like how it looks, just try changing a few things and it will look better.

i dont really get the 'dentist' part of it. i saw your other post with the dentist and i dont really understand where you are getting dentist from. i dont see any teeth or anything.anyways, the sig isnt bad. i like the background for it. the colors of the background fit nicely with the colors of the render. but i would recommend keeping the renders in the sigs and not having them pop out of the top. this is just personal opinion as i usually dont like the renders sticking out the top, but if you really like it, then keep it. but it still looks very nice overall.

thanks for the link to the site. i make some stuff in photoshop every once in awhile and it would be nice to be able to be paid for my work. ive thought a little bit about making stuff for other people but never really had an idea of where to go. hopefully the site you posted will have some opportunity where i can maybe sell at least one design. it could be a good experience for me as well as others...

i dont like xanga either. i know a few people who have xanga sites, i dont like any of the sites. they just look like they were cheaply put together. i think its good that people who dont want to learn html and just want a site to put some info up is a good idea, but i think it would be much nicer if they had some templates that looked halfway decent. ive seen other sites where business people have sites like this and they look totally unprofessional.

i remember a couple years ago i had a really stupid biology teacher. she made so many mistakes on absolutely everything. many times it seemed that the kids in the class knew more of what she was talking about than she did. but last school year, i had a really cool physics teacher. its really bad if you get a boring or mean teacher but my teacher was the complete opposite. it really makes a big difference to how much you like classes/subjects because of the teachers.

The only one ive got is sega genesis! its in one of those things that the systems are stored in at the store or in an arcade that you play. i think its called a game station or something like that. whats really cool about it is that i won it in some contest. i havnt played it in years and years but its still cool. so really i have never bought a console, but i do like my computer.

i agree completely with johnny. also, when you do get more practice with brushing, do not drag your brushes. just get a few different ones and have them overlap to get a nice looking effect.

i think what has been said basically covers it all. its a pretty nice sig. im not going to make any suggestions because everything i think is already stated and i dont want to go repeating everything. just keep up the good work.

it seems that the animation is not only affecting the lightning part. it looks like the entire top half kind of vibrates with the animation. try to see if you can get only the lightning. also, see if you could make a few different lightning bolts to flash instead of just one. make them replace each other in the animation. this way it will have a bit more variety instead of just a bolt that kind of flashes.

i agree that the bolt should not be as thick as it is. also, make a few more lightning bolts and maybe make a couple of them go into the car from different directions.

my suggestion is to add some more topics in the forums. you seem to have all the discussion in the 'general discussion' thread. make a few more of those with different topics just to spread everything out.

if you really get stuck then just search google for it. the answers for all the tests are easy to find. but i recommend not looking at those. try to do it yourself.

you must not have paid much attention because there is a crosshair. you also said its hard to see in the dark... there are hardly any dark places in the map that comes with the download. maybe your monitor is just set dark. go into options and choose the color you want for your crosshair.if you can get into a server, clan, or tournament that plays the game in an organized manner, it is much more fun than just pubbing. i recommend this game to everyone who loves first person shooters.

contrary to what some have said, i do not like the layout. i dont like the green and black colors. personally i like lighter colored layouts more often but there are some dark ones that i do like. i dont like the boarder you have on the banner either. mainly i dont like the colors.but you do have a lot of content and that is very good to keep someone looking through your site. all i suggest is to make a new template, but i know that can be a lot of work. i dont mean to be harsh in any way, but that is my opinion.

haha. exactly what i was thinking.at least try to expand the site to 'mario games' or something. i really dont think you will attract too large of a crowd for forums just about mario kart.

new font aswell. look at some background tutorials and just follow them step for step. trust me, you will pick up some techniques that will enable you to understand much better how to make better sigs. these are improvements from your last attempt. just keep practicing.

thanks for the links. if i ever need to use a render i will surely go and check out some of those. that is if i ever make any sigs in photoshop soon.
