just made this. it is my first entry into sig of the week:

i think you could work on the text a bit. it doesnt really stand out at all. and try working on the background a bit. multicoloring it red and blue works well with the render but the style of the background could use some work.

looks very nice. i like the look of the text, the font is okay, but its a bit hard to read. try changing the color of it or the placement and see if you can get it a bit easier to read. maybe move the render a bit to the left because he is facing right. it could go either way but i think it might look better a bit off center. but the background looks pretty cool and goes well with the render. nice job!

its okay. i dont know really what to say for suggestions. if you get an idea of what the logo will be used for then i would be able to. if you are making a logo, just make sure its very easy to read if its got words and pretty recognizable.

thats not bad at all for your first sig. i think one thing that can easily be fixed, that others have said, is fixing the pixels around the edges of your renders. just zoom in really close and get rid of the white, it doesnt really take that long and greatly improves the image. i also agree with what kubi said about the lense flare in the middle, it doesnt go. try adding some color to the background and see what you get. but for a first sig, this is very good.

thats a very nice gallery. youve got a whole lot of stuff on there too. as im writing this im just watching the list of sigs getting longer and longer i think ive only made like 10 sigs... wow

what is that thing. it looks like hes got some sort of wierd grin on his face.

overall i think it looks pretty nice. i think all the green is a little too much. maybe mix in some other colors or tone down the green. the text and renders and brushing all look okay to me. nice job.

yea its got a border but its just hard to see. and thanks for all the feedback everyone.

if its the same as photoshop cs, then to change the font, go to: window -> character. a little box will come up and you can choose the font, the size, color, and a lot more.and the filters affect layers that already have stuff in them, except for like clouds and all. for an example, just make a gradiant across your entire image. make sure the layer with the gradiant is selected, then go try one of the filters.

i agree with snlildude. the white in the banner doesnt look very good. try getting rid of the stroke and see what happens... i guess the way it is now it looks kind of choppy. but the rest of the layout looks pretty good.

im pretty sure ive got the same problem as you. i could see my website yesterday and have not made any changes since then. when i go to my site i get the error: Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/ralphie/public_html/system/database.mysql.php on line 24Could not connect to database!and when i go to cpanel nothing shows up. so i guess i will try again in a couple hours to see if its gone. hopefully it will be.

well i havnt made any sigs in photoshop for a really long time so i decided i would try again. so here is my batman sig. any suggestions welcome

the first one is pretty good. the main thing i dont like about it is the text vs background. i dont think the type of font you used goes well with the grungy background. the text looks good and the background look good but i just dont think the should go together. other than that i like it. second one looks cool. i dont really know of any ways to improve. it looks nice how it is.third is nice. i like the blurry effect but i think the text should be a little more visible.fourth, everything looks nice and blends together nicely. no suggestions here.fifth, what does the text say? looks cool but is hard to read. maybe add a little color to the eye. seems to be a little too much red.sixth, not sure. youve got the grunge and tech which often doesnt go but i think it still looks nice how it is.seventh, i like it. it just looks cool with the render and background. the text is nice and i like that face.eigth, no suggestions really. it looks good.ninth, i like the explosion effect. very nice looking.tenth. are those things behind the guy supposed to be fireworks? they kind of look like fireworks but they are not quite there.i know comments arnt the greatest, i dont have much time to put a lot of thought into them. whether i put compliments or suggestions, i like all of the sigs. pretty much, they're all doodie!

i like it except i think you could have chosen a better font. in my opinion, the font that you have is too hard to read. other than that it looks good.

most of it looks pretty nice. not sure i like the color contrast of the blue and the other colors of the sig though..

yea i think truefusion pretty much covered it all. i agree with everything he said. but your sigs are improving.

i think the order is actually pretty good how it is. maybe start with the easier ones and then move more advanced. whatever people you think would use more go with first. i think render effects might be good to move up as most sigs include some sort of render, but keep the first four where they are.

like saint michael said, the brushing really has improved and the feather of the halo guy looks pretty good. your border could use some work though. if you wanted to keep the design like youve got, i think you could, but change the colors of it and dont make it transparent at all. try using a pixel border, either the 1 or 3 pixel.the font needs work though. try using just a basic font and fool around with the blending options. and change the color of the font. much improved from before

just make sure that where you want to write text, the image that the text will be over is set as a background image. as far as i know, you can only write over an image if it is set as background.

its an okay sig but not the best ive seen. the brushes coming out from the bottom center look pretty good with the render. but i do not really like the background as much. i dont think the colors blend very well with the render. the text is okay but im not sure i completely like the crescent things by the text.

your part of the forums eh... anyways, the colors on your second attempt are much better than the first. for the font, i suggest looking for some new fonts. just work on trying some different things with the text.

thats a very nice sig. i really like the devil may cry text in the middle of johnny. it looks really nice. grunge work is pretty good also. only thing is that it looks a little blurred behind the picture in the middle. well not blurred but all one color. and i agree with phyre that the scanlines are a bit out of place. other than that, it looks really great. 9/10
