your lucky that you start later. i start at 7:55. sometimes i set my alarm for 6:30 but i never get up till 7.i am also a big procrastinator. even on day to day homework, once i get home i think to myself that i will be able to do my homework pretty quickly. so i put it off for a while. then i finally get to it and it takes longer than i thought it would so i end up staying up too late. but i never learn from my mistake this reminds me, ive got an essay to do by wednesday that was assigned a couple weeks ago. procrastination is just a common thing that everyone does. some just do it more than others

Ralphie replied to canute24's topic in Science and Technology

that is quite a list. but before anyone buys from those, you should look around for ratings before you buy (unless you posted ones that you know have good ratings. i didnt take the time to look). i say this because a while ago i was going to get a digital camera online. i found one site that had a nice price and seemed like it would work. then after some searching i saw some reviews with tons of problems of the vendor. so just check before you buy.i have no vendors to add to that list. i have always dealt with newegg and sometimes tiger direct. they both have my recommendation.

Firefox Or Internet Explorer that is the question...
Ralphie replied to Judman's topic in The Internet
i too really like the tabbed browsing with firefox. it is so much easier to organize what you are doing. then you dont get a ton of windows opened up. i think firefox looks better than IE, is faster, and just seems more user friendly to me. but i do have IE explored too. i just use it to go on sites that seem to be anti-firefox and wont work and also to see how the site im building looks in IE. after i finished my layout and set it up it looked great on firefox. then i looked at it in IE and there were some problems i had to fix. so it is best to have both on hand just in case. -
battlefield 2 was originally supposed to come out in march. but it has been pushed back to EA's first fiscal 2006 quarter. for those of you who dont know, that means it will come out sometime between April and June 2005. heres a link to the main site: Battlefield 2

yes you do need credits. i think for package one you need 10 credits. package 2 is 25 credits and package 3 is 50 credits and package 4 is 100 credits. when you post, depending on how long your post is you will be given a certain amount of credits. once you have enough you will be able to 'buy' one of the packages with your credits by going into the 'request hosting account' forum. when you do this, the amount of credits needed for the package will be subtracted from your total credits, so make sure you have a few extra credits when you choose one because every day that you do not log in you lose one credit.not sure if this is what you were looking for but thats how i took your question
-
although it is a good thought, i do not think it would work. you might have some people who are pretty active and get a bunch of credits. then lets say one of their friends wants to make a website. they one with a lot of credits could give them enough to host a website and the friend might hardly ever be seen on the forums.in my opinion, the best way to deal with being away a for a few days and worrying about your credits would be to have an 'away mode'. it could have something where you can enter the number of days you will be gone and your account would 'freeze' for that many days. this would mean that you would not lose credits but it could also be set so you could not log in and edit your site during that time. just a thought.

i also learned in a website class at my school a few years ago. but the stuff they taught was really basic. all it was was like bold, italics, underline, fonts, a few colors, tables, and frames, pretty much stuff you could learn easily just looking around on the internet. i had never even heard of anything like iframes. and now a couple years later i decided i would try to make a website. next i think ill try to teach myself php or some other language.

Are You For Or Against Cloning? what would be your reason?
Ralphie replied to adriantc's topic in Science and Technology
I agree with Spathi. i think that if we cloned certain animals, we would be able to feed many more people. also, by cloning a certain animal that you know is healthy, you dont have to worry as much about some sort of disease that some cows might be born with or contract because of some kind of medical reasons. hehe. sounds like Jurassic Park. -
i do not like hackers either. by hacking, that person takes away the fun in a game for the other people just trying to have fun. by downloading some hack and using it might seem like fun for the person that does it but it really ruins the game for others. even for the people that make the hacks, sure they have enough skill to hack a game but they are just ruining it for others by supplying a hack to people. and then people become so anti-hacker that a game just isnt fun. for example, a couple months ago i tried out Americas Army. I went onto a server and all these people were accusing all sorts of people of hacking. then after i get a few nice kills, they start accusing me of hacking. so even if there are not any hackers on a server, the thought of hacking can even ruin a game.

Bring In A Tv Show Forum! Well, read the title and youll see wha.
Ralphie replied to JaVe's topic in Web Hosting Support
i also agree that it would be a good idea to have that kind of section. but maybe it could be expanded to an entertainment section. then it could include tv in it as well as other things that could fit into entertainment.it would be a nice addition to add and i think would be a popular area of discussion. good thought.
