    Mafia 2?

Mafia is an absotuely brilliant game. It's probably the best example of how a game isn't just a game anymore but rather a whole interactive movie experience. It is true that at times the play was a little slow but the game's focus was not on the action but mostly the plot. If it was a much faster game people would simply call it a spinoff of Grand Theft Auto. They're similar games but with completely different directions and provide a level of originality with both that one struggles to find in games these days.
  2. Hi, I've been using PHP nuke 7.5 for the last couple of months and so far it's been pretty good. I was wondering though, for those of you who use total content managers, if you could perhaps recommend any others and specific features that make them interesting. I find that with php nuke that I'm not giving absolute 100% control and find myself having to search through pages of PHP to fully customise it.
  3. Thanks a lot for the link! Been looking for a website like this for years but just havn't been able to define it properly so I couldn't find it!
  4. I just simply has to be a scam! It is just absolutely unfeasible for ANY company to give out free ipods, they're not the cheapest device on the market either. I would love it to be real though! If it does work for anybody, even if you have to sign up for something else by paying a small fee, let us know though!
  5. I managed to catch dancing with the stars on Monday night. Realy is shocking, although I really didn't mind darryl Somers in Hey Hey It's Saturday. Red Faces wasn't a bad part of the show. Oz has got some top notch local comedies though, the panel, russel coight, the late show, the list goes on and on. Mic Molloy and the boys from "The Castle". Bloody genius!
  6. I still havn't seen it! It hasn't come out here yet, the preview looked unbelievable though. I thoroughly enjoyed nemo and could use another chuckle under the sea. Do any famous actors do voices and who produced the movie? It's not disney is it?
  7. My personal opinion is that Nirvana was never a great band but was crucial to shaping music at that current time. I would definately believe that he commited suicide, I mean that letter he wrote is more than enough to convince me that the man was very depressed and had to resort to a solution which he deemed the only one fit.
  8. Black and white can be extremely effective especially in photos. A brilliant photo of you and your mates at the pub looks 10 times better when converted into black and white. The colour seems to take a lot of that away. Wedding photos often have copies printed in black and white for the effect.
  9. Havn't seen it yet but I'll give the marketing team an A+, the advertising has just been brilliant! I was never really a big fan of the games, I just always found them a little bit too hard for a now average gamer such as myself! Looking forward to seeing it though.
  10. Hi. Just watched collateral, awesome, thoroughly enjoyed it. I was really tense for most of the movie which is something that most hollywood movies struggle to pull off these days. Never thought tom cruise would be as a convincing hitman as he was!
  11. I need to listen to more Phats Wallar. I hardly have any of his stuff. Live jazz really rocks the planet though, you get caught up in the vibe so easily- especially if its a loud, exciting big band blasting through the roof.
  12. Its a subfolder- /albums/horse and I'm using smartFTP but I've also tried with file manager under CPanel
  13. Hi- I'm having trouble with deleting files from one partcular folder on my site.I get an error 550 permission denied and when I try to change permissions it says bad scriptor file. Can somebody out there help please! The files in this directory are taking up too much space!!!
  14. How was that. I'm a big fan of both of those actors. Have you seen the "tribute" music video by Tenatious D, awesome stuff. I still havn't seen dodgeball either- What did you guys think of that?
  15. Just wondering if anybody here has ever had the priveledge to enjoy David Brents antics on BBC's "The Office". They've won tons of awards this year, including a 2 golden globes for best comedy and best actor. They were the first non-us show and actor to ever even be nominated for the two categories and managed to win them both!If your sick of the typical American show with fake laughter after every single clich? line and want to watch some good original comedy without the drain of a laugh box, then this is the one for."The best comedy I've seen in years" - Matt Groening, creator of the simpsons.
  16. Hi, just wondering if anybody around here remembers the days of Full House's Bob Saget hosting Americas Funniest Home Videos. Man that guy sucked, he made the worst jokes and comments ever. They've been playing some reruns here in Australia and they just get worse over time.
  17. Reality shows do really suck but I'm still a fan of survivor. Shoot me if you want but I do still enjoy that show . Big Brother stinks and has so always! Don't know what anybody has even seen in that. My girlfriend always wants to watch that junk, just moved in together and its not helping matters...
  18. Hi, was wondering if anybody here has the Australian 1996 classic "The Castle". I know that any ozzies on the forums would probably have seen it. It's a great movie, really original humour. "Orginal" is a term I think is nearly impossible to find associated with any American movie or sitcom these days.
  19. I remember hearing about that but havn't seen it myself. This directors cut did end a little suddenly I though. I guess I'll have to go the DVD and watch the alternate ending. I must say well done to Ashton Kutchner though, wow, for a man that has been ridiculously type cast from "That 70's show" to come out and perform like that, brilliant!
  20. One of my univeristy subjects this year has been politics and we've studied this pretty in-depth.We studied a lot of stuff on the ethics of abortion as it's a very touchy subject here in South Africa as well. The partial-birth abortion procedure -- used from the fifth month on -- involves pulling a living baby feet-first out of thewomb, except for the head, puncturing the skull and suctioning out the brain. The great majority of partial-birth abortions are performed on healthy babies of healthy mothers.Government Funding of Abortion:George W. Bush opposes using tax dollars to pay forabortion. During his first week in office, President Bushreinstated the Mexico City Policy, which cut off tax funds togroups that promote abortion overseas.John Kerry supports using tax dollars to pay for abortion.Kerry said that his first executive order would be to?reverse the Mexico City Policy,? and thereby give taxfunds to groups that promote abortion overseas.Supreme Court AppointmentsGeorge W. Bush stated that he will appoint Supreme Courtjustices who share his conservative philosophy and who willstrictly interpret the Constitution according to its text. (Thetext of the Constitution contains no right to abortion.)John Kerry has stated that if elected president he wouldappoint only Supreme Court justices who support the1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion ondemand. He declared, ?...I will support only pro-choicejudges to the Supreme Court. Some may call this alitmus test...?Partial-Birth AbortionPresident George W. Bush promoted and signed the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act into law.Senator John Kerry voted against the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act every chance he got -- six times.Abortion on DemandGeorge W. Bush opposes the 1973 Supreme Court decisionthat legalized abortion on demand and he supports legalprotection for unborn children.John Kerry supports the 1973 Supreme Court decisionthat legalized abortion on demand -- even as a method ofbirth control.Record on LifeGeorge W. Bush has repeatedly supported legislation whichwould protect unborn children and people with disabilities.George W. Bush signed ?Laci and Conner?s Law,? whichrecognizes as victims unborn children who are killed orinjured in violent federal crimes.George W. Bush supported legislation to prevent minordaughters from being taken across state lines for secretabortions in order to avoid parental notice laws.John Kerry, during his 20 years in the Senate, voted 79times to support abortion.John Kerry voted against ?Laci and Conner?s Law,? whichrecognizes as victims unborn children who are killed orinjured in violent federal crimes.John Kerry voted against notifying a parent beforeperforming an abortion on a minor daughter.
  21. That is a ridulously brilliant list. I forgot to mention most of those! The doors- what a group! Bob Dylans lyrics are brilliant, good example of a guy without a #1 voice winning the hearts of millions simply by the meaning of his lyrics! poetic stuff!
  22. Jazz is a more personal form of music than most others. One connects with the music and it really can just take over. Instead of listening to lyrics you listen to the tone and texture of long notes. I really love jazz, got a collection of over 2000 songs.
  23. I know that sierra was recently advertising programming posts for kings quest 9. In fact, my one friend applied and got accepted and he's all the way in South Africa. Your best bet would be to contact a university where game development is an actual study path. I know a few univeristies here in Australia offer that and they would definately be able to give you details of a recruitment agency for game development.
  24. I'm 21. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science at the end of the year and then off into the big world on Information Systems processing! Don't wish I was 13 but maybe 19 again, man, 19 to 21 are some of the best times of your life at University.
  25. I only use MSN. I used to use ICQ way back when it first came out years and years ago, thoroughly enjoyed it but now I just want something simple because most of my friends couldnt be bothered to set something up and would rather just use MSN!
