i rather xhtml over html (as u no jay) cos when im making a page it has to be strict so when i go back over it for some reason like changing or updating, i know where everything is and no which tags to play with and make sure im not using the wrong tag.xhtml is cleaner to read so when you are on a site copying or learning from the code, its easier to know what it all is.

what does dominion mean exactly? and i gather problemilla means problem?lol i dont get wot u mean. your having dns problems with Xisto? i had problems when i first made my hosting account, it would barely ever work. buffalohelp and opaque fixed that for me luckily though.

they are called anonymizers.i use them all the time, i mainly use proxydom.comanother site that has a list of heaps and u can choose which one you want to surf with is aplusproxy.comif only they worked at school, the "smart filter" blocks anonymisers.

i use i love jack daniels for css cheat sheet, css is the only thing i use a cheat sheet for at the moment.

all the pictures work for me except for banner_browser.jpgall the pictures are just coming from skemb.astahost.com (they are the ones that work) except banner_browser.jpg is coming from skemb.astahost.com/skemb_site but u have it uploaded to skemb.astahost.com (the main directory)u might want to move that.

well if you were using dreamweaver then maybe it changed the directory of the images it was coming from?probably not but just a theory thats always good to check, lol.wots the address of the site?also, jpegs arent exactly recomended to use on the internet.. png and gif is your best choice. change your images, only really use jpegs for photos i think.

yeah get comfortable and physically use it properly.good chair, monitor level with your eye, i saw on tv once how to use the mouse and keyboard properly.also i like it to always be cool, not freezing not hot. i just cant do anything when its boiling hot.i dont spend all day on the computer so it doesnt bother me, i only get on for 4 hours max on weekends and about 1 and a half - 2 hours a day on weekdays (at home, at school i use them depending on wot class i have that day)

ive had Xisto hosting for a few months. its the best free hosting you can find and its the only free hosting ive found with everything i need. i recomend it to anyone willing to post in a forum.

yeah u can just go to google then click on about google.then there will be a part saying for site owners.then click on submitting your site. on that page just fill out the form.google generally just puts sites on automatically when it finds it though.

the best free html editor is Evrsoft First Page 2006. its got heaps of stuff built in and loads of javascripts built in.i used to use it even when i had dreamweaver. i just use notepadd++ now since ive learrnt more since then.the site is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ the way, the html editor in it is a bit laggy.

well im working on a site that will change the stylesheet to use css transparency in IE6. other browsers will use transparent png's so ie 6 wont look as good i dont reckon.i dont have a site at the moment using css transparency http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ uses (a little too much) css transparency. habble made it

game maker seems like it would be the only free one that is decent and good. i used to have this really really terrible one but i forgot wot it was called.i want to learn how to use macromedia director, it looks like it can make like anything.

well, yesterday i was trying to make a database on my computer with phpmyadmin. It worked the day before and all the other times but now it wont let me, access is denied. I just get an error (1045 Access denied for user root@localhost using password :no)so basically wot do i do? i hadnt touched anything, it just stopped working. i cant think of anything that could have happened besides that my IP had chnged from the last time i used it.i cant use phpmyadmin or the command line.oh and im using xampp by the way, and its on my jumpdrive using portable apps.anyone know how to fix it? my best friend would know wot to do but he conveniently went to sydney the day before :l

im having another problem sort of to do with xampp...root@localhost doesnt have permission to do anything, which is a problem because i cant make databases or do anything with it.it ses to edit config.inc.php but yeah... wot do i edit? cos the host is localhost and the user is root.help? cos i usually try things on my computer before i upload.
