Very familiar with phpBB. I can get what I need with easy modifications, and it has the right feel. I will agree that, by default, invision and vbulletin got more and very nice features and the phpBB dev team is quite slow (the newer version should have been here about 2 years ago orso, stopped following progress).

yeah there's photoshop there, but that's often the step between amateur photo's and pro photo's. It's not really to fake stuff but accentuate certain aspects even more for great effects. I love this one; http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Which Are Your Favourite Battlefield 2 Maps Fav. BF2 maps
Alegis replied to remters's topic in Computer Gaming
At first Karkand/Mastuur, although all the artillery and vehicle/explosion whoring around the corners got a bit annoying (spawn-dead-spawn-dead). I now got endulged in Wake 2007 and if I play most probably on TOC dedicated wake. Damn I love wake. -
I don't like button masher games; skillz above everything !I think your friend should try to adapt to your technique Normally it shouldn't be that tough to beat a button masher if you know that the moves your opponent does are random (and doesn't pay much attention to whatever move/combo you're loading ...)Keep mashing, and he should try to improve

I use the keyboard a lot, as well as piano. So "technically" i should be very well capable of using many fingers. I still seem to only use 2 à 4, yet I'm happy enough about my speed. I think of checking some guides or stuff like that this summer to improve my keyboard leetness.

I've been betatesting for Microsoft, and try the IE and on many aspects it is a very nice improvement. But, as always, Firefox has that little edge for me over other browsers in something not the devs supply us with but the community. Extensions. Still, I think the new IE is a great step forward in order to prevent people from 'fleeing' to other browsers.

The wind waker, I loved the cell shading and the game didn't get dull over time, as well as dungeon saving and teleporting points which the lack of angered me in Majora's Mask.Great moves, story and setting in Wind Waker. Looking forward to Twilight

At first I wasn't impressed at all either. It looked just like a BF2 mod to me.However as I followed E3 I now look forward to the game. Titan mode seems like a lot of fun, and with 45 ranks and unlocks, thats A LOT of customization there. The main kits will be reduced to 4, with subclasses in each. The tracking robot or spawn beacons are interesting changes, especially the squad gameplay improvements.

The Godfather - The Game I think this is a great one
Alegis replied to mussolinihitler's topic in Computer Gaming
I have it but only played it for less than 9 hours orso, didn't really get into it and endulged in other stuff at the moment. Plan to complete the game in the summer. Didn't like the interface that much. -

I own it and played over 70 hours, done all mages guild, dark brotherhood and city quests however the thieves quests seem to be bugged as I can't get the final one.The dark brotherhood experience was awesome, great plot and missions.

Played it for 14 months, 14 months of being a guild officer somehow which only added to the experience. Managing a game guild has never been that much fun and work, as an learning experience. I loved the PvE element, Co-Op with 40 and master encounters. However guild folded before a migration and I thought it had been enough time, as it became difficult to get another great guild to experience end-game. The co-ordination... This is the best game I've ever played and spent time in (over 2k hours). But now it would have become too troublesome with studies and social life had to let it go.

New Super Mario Bros is ds only.Played it a lot, though don't own it -yet-. It's so great it's convincing me to abandon my old gameboy and get a DS.

Absolutely, it's worth it. Non obstrusive, fast, detects it all and doesn't eat resources. If you haven't tried it yet, you -must- check the trial at the eset homepage.

My experience with Kaspersky is limited, however I do prefer NOD32 as it is an efficient and fast running program. It tracks everything and deals with it in a non-obstrusive manner. It's design also ain't greedy on resources.

Anti-Virus : NOD32 - It's fast and doesn't drain a lot of resources unlike Norton at all. Efficient ... love itFirewall : Zonelabs. It's works ok, and free.Spyware: Spybot. Works efficient

Is It Worth It To Get Gmail ? Is Gmail Good?
Alegis replied to wazzupster0204's topic in Search Engines
I love Gmail ever since I've been using it since september 04 instead of hotmail.First of all it's fast and -efficient-. I didn't like the graphical, slow look of hotmail. I can navigate and browse through data extremely fast with gmail. Then you have the features, newsletters come in various folders labeled instead of inbox, archiving (clean inbox), better spam detection, drafts (very handy, saves mails you are composing in case you don't send them), tracking of conversations in inbox ... It's awesome. If anyone needs a lot of invites just send me a mail over at alegis [at] gmail
