  1. Sounds interesting, I might try it out on my site to see if it really works. I never actually was aware that google calculated the rank by how many different websites link to you.Although if what the previous posters in this thread have said is true then it is pointless bothering. I think I'll still try and if I don't get any results then I'll stop. Thanks for the information regardless.
  2. I seem to find it near impossible to find relevant images to what I am looking for at the time that are actually royalty-free. I would be very interested to know what the best websites are for picking up such images or if anyone has any tips and techniques to share in aid of this search. Thanks in advance.
  3. Wow thanks a heap for this information. I'm really glad that I logged onto Xisto today because now I know about this cool little trick!I've heard people saying something about this before but I always assumed it would be one of those things that was just way too complication and took hours of tweaking to even work out how to do.Thankyou so much! This was so easy to do!
  4. Oh god who knows where we will be in twenty years time. Twenty years ago people would have never ever, in their wildest dreams guessed that people could sit down on a home desktop computer or laptop and connect to the internet along with millions of other people from across the world and chat and interact at such a speed that it's almost as if they are there in real life.Maybe in twenty years the world will be run by giant purple machines called "Rachez" that go around singing songs to annoy all the humans and then take there money for no reason whatsoever.Hey, it's just a guess okay!
  5. Looks pretty nifty! I think it looks a lot like a really good, modern take on the old alt-tab that we've seen for so long. Probably too long. Thanks for this info, I'm going to download it now so I can try it for myself.
  6. I've done some research into free hosting reselling services. They seem pretty simple but I want to hear from someone that has been using one for a while and what they think, how much they have earnt etc. I've heard some people have been able to make a fair bit from them, I guess it's just all based on how well you can advertise etc. If you don't know what I'm on about the basic principle is you sign up at a free reseller site (I think http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ is the best one) and then they provide you with a free site where people can purchase hosting space etc, all you do is modify the prices and packages and stuff and you receive all the profit you make. It's up to you to advertise your site though. Might be good if you have a lot of friends. The one i'm using, that looked the best is: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  7. Jesus Christ! 750 gigabytes? That is absolutely insane. Imagine how much crap I could fill up with that much space! I reckon it'd be an awesome investment as there is no way on earth you would need to upgrade for a long long time.I'd even think about investing in one just so I can say - I have 750 gigabytes! God how awesome would it be to just not have to worry about disc space.I want one! Now!!
  8. Heh.. Nice problem there... I think I've heard it before but it's always cool to hear these brain teasers again every now and then..Very mind boggling!Got anymore cool brain teasers for us?
  9. Hahaha that's pretty funny actually... It's such a blatent attack on George Bush but it is so true!At least google know what is going on in this crazy world of ours.Do you know any other of these google trick type things? Look forward to seeing some more.
  10. Wow it looks like a really good offer. Pity I'm in Australia and can't get it as it's for people in the US only. But still...I suppose it's a good innovative method to get people to check out their liscencing details but what's the bet that the majority of people simply get there pen drive and then erase the documents and use it for their own use...Anyway... keep trying Microsoft... Maybe one day someone'll reald your lisencing details!
  11. Well when I first bought my computer I decided I would have to buy Microsoft Office for all my document needs as such, but then I discovered that OpenOffice was already installed on the system so I thought I'd give it a go.That was about a year ago and since I have found no real need to by Microsofts Office and have found OpenOffice to be great, reliable, simple to use and good for lots of different needs.Guess I must be another user with "limited needs"... bloody Microsoft!
  12. Hmmm I can't really see how a pen drive could possibly act to give a system more ram? Would this even be remotely possible? On the other hand as some of the other forum members have said it is probably far more likely that it simply acts as a swap file. This could still be good but it wouldn't allow for actual additional ram.Of course I don't know any of this for sure but this is just what I am thinking, perhaps someone can set the record straight and tell us exactly how this thing works and if it can work at all?
  13. I'm pretty sure they will let you accept payments but only to a certain point... Plus payPal can be really dodgy and they probably wont accept your card until you give them a different one. But hey... that's PayPal for you.
  14. Yeah iSketch is pretty fun... Another similar game Shockwave's InkLink is the same principle but I actually think it works better and provides for a more fun game.I love finding new boredom killing websites!
  15. I think that's a really good idea. Giving people initiative for making quality posts and helping others out on a forum can make the difference between a good forum and a great forum. You'll probably find people start treating others with more respect too as they know their reputation could be damaged if they go around acting like a jerk all the time.
  16. It looks really slick, modern and cool!I could imagine that being like the splash screen for a slick software company or something... perhaps maybe even a web hosting one...
  17. Oooh the second one is very arty-fart isn't it! No, but I mean that in a good way - it looks really cool. The third shot just looks like a cliche shot of some building that you'd find on a postcard or something. The first is better, pretty neat... couldn't even tell that the weather was bad!
  18. Haha... I'll be more wary carrying DVD's through the airport next time then! I can't believe the extent that people are going to these days for this kind of thing. I mean stopping a bit of traffic of pirated DVD's isn't going to resolve the issue at all. Unlike drugs, people can burn a DVD in any part of the world and stopping people from transferring them from country to country is in no way going to change that.Sure, I can sort of understand the logic. Someone could take a thousand copies of the latest flick into another country and sell them all, but where as drugs go up in huge values when travelling from country to country, DVD's don't - therefore it is only a very small part of the problem against DVD pirating.Still it is amusing to know that people could get sniffed down by a dog at an airport for having... not drugs!... not fruit!... but DVD's!Sorry Sir, I wont bring Harry Potter with me next time.
  19. Hey thanks heaps. Those messages have been annoying me for ages so I eventually switched to firefox. I'll keep using firefox now but at least I know.Stupid old internet explorer is so unstable and full of bugs and stuff like that that I don't trust to go back to it.Long live firefox!
  20. osCommerce is a really great program to use if you want to set up your own online business/shop. I don't know about any others but I have used that one before and it does the job very well.I'm sure there are heaps of php scripts available out there for this sort of thing but I reckon the best way is just to go investigate, see what's out there and pick which one best suits your business.
  21. Lmao... Oh my god... I swear everytime I've seen the weirdest the internet has to offer something even weirder comes along. The internet has breeded a culture of people who keep breaking barriers as to how absolutely rediculous some of the stuff on the net is!Dressing up tampons... What next!?
  22. Cool test, nice find. I scored 45 ms and am 17 which is pretty good, or so I thought so. It's an odd test and it took me a while to get into it... I'm still not exactly sure what these scores translate to in terms of real life abilities but i'm sure whatever it is, 45 is a good score for that!
  23. It's good stuff but I wont be get a High Definition DVD Player until a lot later... Wait till it goes down a bit.Is the difference noticable when watching a HD DVD and also do you need a High Definition TV or will they work on any TV?Just wonderin.
  24. Ah. Poor guy... 70 years and 1.75 mill! That's a biiiig sentence.Well as they say - curiosity killed the cat... or the hacker.
  25. 30 gigs!? Bloody hell! Who in their right mind would need 30 gigs just for their email. I wouldnt even be able to use 1 let alone 30... maybe it's for really popular people who get thousands of emails a day.Ok seriously 30 gig for email... that's just a waste of space!I'm quite happy with my 2.6 gig from gmail.
