How exciting... a new windows. Soon XP will become the "old" system and out of date. Uuurgh I hate having to upgrade! It better be worth it though. We need lots of smoother slicker faster windows action otherwise they're not getting my buck!

Google Notebook: Another New Release (Soon)
mediafork replied to miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Looks pretty good... Might have to go check it out...And yeah randomdood I reckon google would rake it in from sponsored results and companies wanting google to plug 'em. Then they'd take a cut from all adsense revenue. They corporate giants! -
Really Impressive Commercial Photos
mediafork replied to xip's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Wow they're really good. They look so surreal and professional. Most of them are photoshopped but they're still pretty good. -
I think one of the best, and certainly my favourite is http://www.findingresult.com/?dn=hostbidder.com&pid=9POR3TG0A - free domains, hosting, site designs and more for your points. You only need 950 points for a domain and can get up to 10 points per post, making a maximum of 8 a day hence meaning you can get a domain in just 13 days! How awesome is that?I had a look at ezyrewards and a few others but most of them either look like they would take too long to earn enough points or it simply isn't as well recognised so you don't know if they will stuff you around or not.

I would say that VBulletin is probably the top of the range, best forum software on the market... it has every feature you could want, is fully customisable and very professional. On the other hand if you want a free forum software - you can't go past phpBB... it's fast, very customisable with heaps of features - and best of all - it's free!Of course there are many other alternatives out there such as invision but you might just have to go and look around and find out which ones best for you.

I use and love Sony Vegas and have been using it for quite a while. As of yet I haven't found anything that I can't do with it that I have wanted to and it's really quite easy to use.I have to say although I haven't tried Premiere I have heard lots of good things about it but i'm sure which ever you choose they'll both be pretty darn good video editors.

Has anyone here tried Windows Media Player 11 Beta? It sounds quite good and i'm in the process of downloading it at the moment but it's just a bit over 20 megabites so it might take a while.Anyone got any feedback on it? Is it good? Better than the previous versions?I've been using RealPlayer for a while but I'm thinking i'll just try out this version and if it's any good I may switch back... I'll see how it goes!

A True Alternative To Paypal? What And Why!
mediafork replied to Transcendum's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yeah well when I first signed up to eBay, naturally I also signed up to PayPal... but that's when the problems hit. I got so many issues with PayPal it wasn't even funny... I can't remember exactly what happened now but I remember my account was frozen and then unfrozen about three times, I actually lost my money from them in the end and they kept stuffing me around.I too have tried iKobo, not much but enough to know that it is far better the paypal. There are actually a lot of people out there that, like me, very much dislike paypal. There's even a site: http://www.paypalsucks.com/ filled with horror stories and testimonials as to very bad experiences with paypal.I sincerely hope that sometime in the future some of the other competitor companies take away PayPal's monopoly and give people a real opportunity to use a DECENT service.Down with paypal! -
Some Fun With The Calculator Could this be maths?
mediafork replied to Omkar™'s topic in Science and Technology
Hmm. Is is Divided then equals?I don't know if it's correct, and it's probably not but I didn't have a calculator to use on me so I tried it in the windows calculator and got an error message. Maybe that's just because windows is weird.Anyway tell me if i'm right or wrong... and if I'm wrong what's the answer? -
Can I Put Adsense Ads On My Site At Astahost? Google Adsense Info
mediafork replied to nitrus's topic in Search Engines
That's cool that you can put adsense ads on. Xisto has so many better rules than other free web space providers. Most of them wouldn't even give you a decent amount of space or bandwith let alone let you put ads on them! -
Google earth is way way better. In fact google is better at everything. If a company can provide a service, I bet google could provide it better.I checked out MSN maps and it sucks.

Piracy Is Spreading - Is it a New Age Culture ? Is it a culture?
mediafork replied to amitbhandari's topic in Software
Of course it's spreading! In case you haven't notice piracy has been around and becoming more and more of a massive problem for a long time now. Remember how long ago napster was? It's not all to blame on those downloading though. Records are overpriced these days. WAY overpriced. It's rediculous. It's people's way of rebelling and saying 'stuff this, i'm not paying for something if you are just going to rip me off'.At least we're getting a bit better though in a sense of awareness and being able to buy songs cheaper through alternatives such as iTunes, but still the problem will always be around. -
Google Adsense Alternative Alternatives to Google Adsense
mediafork replied to OpaQue's topic in Online Advertising
I have to say I have used google adsense for quite a while and I have never had a single problem with it. It's great, they pay and they pay considerably well compared to some of the other alternatives. I have tried a few of the others such as ClixGalore but they just aren't set up and well paying as google. I earned quite a bit on google as with Clixgalore as all the ads arent specially tailored the content of the page I didnt get nearly as many clicks.Anyway. Im sure that there are plenty of other good alternatives out there if you really have trouble with adsense. -
Definitely Firefox. It's still far more stable and secure than internet explorer ever will be. Plus the new internet explorer is just a rip off of Firefox. Funny how now they have just introduced tabs and stuff right after firefox has started stealing their thunder.Long live firefox!

Probably the best, most simple easy language to start with is BASIC... or even better the windows version - Visual Basic. It's easy as hell but it's a good start for a beginner.Whatever you choose to use though, good luck.

The Hacker's Google A template for the SE - can you read it?
mediafork replied to cyborgxxi's topic in Search Engines
Yeah I've seen that quite a few times... it's still pretty cool though. I think they also have some other language types and stuff. Although Id have to say my favourite google novelty is definitely the google april fools jokes... If you haven't seen them, check out these: https://www.google.com/googlegulp/ - Google april fools joke: New google flavoured drinks! lol https://www.google.com/jobs/lunar_job.html - Google Lunar jobs: Google is hiring to take people into space! haha In fact they even have a special search engine JUST for searching things related to april fools! This one can be found at http://www.googleaprilfools.com/ Gotta love those people at google! -
Screenshots Of Microsoft Office 12
mediafork replied to jedipi's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Wow looks pretty neat. Dunno if i'll get it though, it's a lot of money to invest when I still have Microsoft Office 2000 which does the job anyway.Still it does look pretty cool. -
Definitely, without a doubt google. In fact I don't even remember the last time I used any search engine but google.I just love the fact that google is quick, convenient and totally reliable. Plus it always seems to to the job at finding me the right page no matter what I am looking for at the time.
