AHH This makes me want to tell you guys what VMWARE is cooking up but I'm not allowed!!!!I just need to say there is a very bright future and there is going to be more then just Google, Linux, and MS fighting in the OS world, and they will be fighting in a way you can never imagine.It is going to be a totally new technology, that are implementing some ideas that have been popping around.I'm not sure when they have the press release for it, but it is probably not for a while because they are still developing some of the core components but man its going to be coooool.Maybe someone works for VMWare here or has a friend who does and knows what I'm talking about...

Yea, thanks alot it came up about and hour after I hit like 5 credits.I just got lazy and forgot to post because I was so busy with school just starting up.I'll make sure to keep better track of it this time.

It could be bad RAM. Did you buy good RAM or really cheap RAM.The Blue Screen of Death happens when the RAM pages to the processor and something goes wrong in that cycle.It could be a bad driver for the network card or it could be bad ram. I would also see if your motherboard drivers are updated by going to your chipset website.Also, read on your motherboard, this could be a known problem and you might have to flash your bios with a newer version.

If your computers were all connected to the internet through your server then you could technically just have the anti-virus on the server.Just make sure you have your OS with the latest security updates, keep track of what employees bring to work from flash drives, and stay away from bad websites.People say its easy to get virus straight off a web page but that only happens when you go to a website you really shouldnt be going too.Also don't allow the computers to access the p2p protocol.

iPod is like the rip-off company for people who don't know and won't bother to search for better products.They overcharge you for everything, i mean a stupid leather case for an iPod is at least $20 its pathetic.

Wow I just downloaded Opera and it even looks alot nicer then Firefox.What I love about firefox are all the useful extensioins, like with google and stuff.Does Opera also have all those?

I hate the iPod Nano because it is so easy to scratch.My friend has one and he can literally run his fingernail on the back of it and it permnantly scratches it.Also, when you hold it in your hand it just feels so delicate, almost like you can snap it in half.I hate how they also created their own sound format. It makes burning the music you OWN onto cd's to listen really hard.Thats just my opinion though...

JCreator is a pretty neat IDE.I have also used Gel which is cool because it is portable and I can carry it around on my flash drive.

I have usually favored NVIDIA.Mostly because they make it easier to understand their series and its easy for you to find which card is better.Like they have Geforce Series 1,2,3,4,5,6, and 7 basically. And in each series you identify which card is better by how high its number is. ( Like Geforce 7800 is better then 7300 ).I have noticed that ATI has made it difficult to identify which series is better because theyo do not have a secure system on how they name their series and cards. You can correct me if I am wrong but even if they do have a naming system it is very poorly laid out.I have bought NVIDIA for years but I just recently bought an ATI X1600PRO because I got a huge discount on it (got it for $120). It has amazed me with its capabilities. In all my games full graphics at any resolution I want.I also found that the drivers on the CD were actually the newest drivers available. NVIDIA always seems to give you their older CD's and then tell you that it is best if you go to their website and download their newest ones.NVIDIA does seem to work better with Linux however, I don't have any personal experience on that because my Linux computer only has a NVIDIA card in it ( because it is AGP and my ATI card is PCI-E ), but from what I've heard that is the case.I don't think there is any better vendor, they all have their strengths/weaknesses. NVIDIA seems better at advertising their cards so that also seems like it has been helping them ( same thing with AMD vs Intel and their processors ).All in all they both make awesome cards that can handle the most stunning graphics.

There is something that I heard about called JITIt compiles Java Byte code directly into machince code so you don't need the Java VM to use it.I'm not sure what you are asking for.

Why would you trust sensitive information online anyways anything i woudl put on a gdrive i would be like go ahead take a look at all of it i dont care, i have nothing to hide its not like if you have embarassing stuff they would humiliate you or laugh at you geez lol and any person with half a brain would never store private/confident info on a remote computer far, far away from them

Even if it ends up not being well enforced at the very least it at least displays the governments concern to protect minors from bad content.The internet is so vast and huge I don't see how they are really going to go about this, expecially since there are hundreds of sites that have been up for a long time that are already punishable by its rules.I don't see the government being able to control one of the biggest industries in the country but at least we know they care and are taking gradual steps to making the internet a safer and more controlled area.Only if we could find a balance between the free use and exploitation of internet in America and the strictly controlled internet China has. We need to find a happy medium.

Why can't AMD make the smart decision and have bought NVIDIA.AMD relies so heavily on the NVIDIA chipsets ( NFORCE 4 and NFORCE 5 ).NVIDIA provides the best chipset that AMD uses for its AMD64 line of processors.\I don't understand why they did this. NVIDIA might stop giving so much support on the NFORCE 4 for amd thinking that ATI will now take up the burden for providing AMD's chipsets, which puts a heavy weight on the ATI company, giving them another thing to focus on rather then their own needs.I don't know much about the issue but it sounds like it was done for fast/easy money more then anything

It is a truly awesome game.However if you don't have the graphics card to carry the weight then it can turn into crap really fast.It gets extremely agitating trying to play the game and you are lagging because your video card can't render textures fast enough.Also, frame rate ( fps ) is extremely vital if you want to do good. And make sure you have some kind of fast connection, not dial-up because it just won't cut it.If you want a less graphic demanding game but want the awesome game play get Counter-Strike:ConditionZeroIt has better graphics then CS1.6 but the same great gameplay that made the game so popular in the first place.I recommend Geforce 6 series or better, and whatever the ATI equivilant is or better otherwise CS:Source will lag even at low video settings. Also if your getting a new motherboard get a motherboard with PCI-Express, its better and faster then agpProcessor speed, well I recommend like a 2.0 ghz or faster Pentium 4/Celeron. If you have AMD then I recommend any AMD64 processor. And if you don't know which to get, Intel or AMD, go with AMD :unsure:At least 1 gig of ram

I am running the latest version of Debian Linux.It is run in the Demilitarized Zone ( DMZ ) on my home network. My internet address has a static ip ( it never changes )Do I need to install some type of firewall, or make some special configurations to protect the Debian Server or is the raw installation and operating system already secure.I have looked in numerous Linux threads and I have not been able to identify a straight or valid answer.I have seen both views, some people say you need a firewall others say that Debian is built protected the way it is.I am kind of new to Linux but I have the basic grasp of how to use it.The servers I run arePure FTP - Not a standalone but "built-in" I think its runinng as a Daemon or something like that and you need to have a registered username to access it. Uses ports 20 and 21, and then a long range of PASV portsCounter-Strike Server. Uses port 27015TeamSpeak Server. Uses port 8767And i am planning to setup SSH which runs off port 22 i think.Now the server is in the DMZ so from my understanding all the ports are already forwarded to it.Does it need extra protection?

The idea is good but the implementation is horribly wrong.1. They should be paid.2. If they are going through forums and blogs this seems like a privacy issue to me.3. They should be searching for people who host the illegal downloads rather then searching for the people who do the downloading.4. It does mock Hitler Youth in a way considering minors will be taking orders fromt their government now, even if it might be against friends and family.The raw idea of creating a way to catch the illegal downloads is great but the way they are doing it sounds way too edgy. There is probably more going on with this then has been released. Like they are doing more then searching for illegal downloaders/uploaders. I have no idea what but the whole thing sounds fishy to me.

Umm ignore that I figured it out with the "parked domain" thing. the problem is whenever i type my domain name in, it redirects me to http://www.w3.org/Protocols/ any one know why?

i have purchased my domain name so once you point your name server to ns1.astahost.com and ns2.astahost.com how do you set it up to point to your particular website on Xisto...i have no idea how any of this works

Generally if you secure your wireless network with WEP or WAP no one is going to really try to break into it."Wardrivers" will not stop at a secured connection and try to crack it because they know there is always an unsecure one lying around somewhere.If your concerned about them hacking into your "shared folders" you can specify a specific port range for wireless devices on your network, and then you can disable certain protocols for those ranges, like Netbios and stuff.Its also best NOT to broadcast your SSID, and also make sure your router does NOT respond to ping queries from the internet.Even better if you have lets say 4 computers that you use. You can disable DHCP for your wireless network and create 4 static routes. Then you can reserve those routes for specific MAC addresses, so if anyone even finds your static routes, they would also have to figure out your devices MAC address, and then try to change their MAC address to match yours.These are basic tweaks that can easily enhance your security.If you are really concerned about private folders/files. If you have WindowsXP then it comes with a built in encryption system ( Well I know XP Pro has it, not sure about Home Edition ).If you encrypt your files it then becomes extremely hard for someone to steal your information, because then they have to find they key to unlock and read the files.
