Wireless Congestion In My Room! Damn this technology
HellFire121 replied to Omkar™'s topic in Computer Networks
Yeah go with wired, seriously if your routers close to your pc why do you use the wireless?? if i were you use the ethernet cable ports on your router to connect to your pc. You can't do anything about your cell phone but you can check the frequency your phones run on to make sure, as someone said above. Remote controls shouldn't be a problem because most run on infrared. Also you might want to get a wired keyboard. Wireless mouse is fine but i've found out it's the keyboard that gives most problems. After partly switching to wired your room should be much more responsive -HellFire -
i hate browser and text based games, i'm more into games like battlefield 2. Seriously if you have alot of first person shooters that you like playing what's the point of playing some browser based game?Anyway there was a game 'mafia' that seems similar to this but in 3d-HellFire

How Do I Setup A Web Server? Web server
HellFire121 replied to InitialDriveGTR's topic in Websites and Web Designing
If you are looking for a relativly easy to set up and powerful server system i recommend the suite at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I've used it in the past and it's great, it gets the job done plus more. It includes php, mysql, phpmyadmin and a few other features and software that installs via the easy to use install program. Updating is easy too, just run the installation of the new version and it will update it all for you. -HellFire -
One Comp. Two Monitors? Anyone know how?
HellFire121 replied to CyberReaper1405241516's topic in Hardware Workshop
What graphics card do you have? I think the nvidia ones have something called nview in the configuration where you can place things where you want but i'm not sure because i only have the one monitor. You might also want to try some multi display software if you can find some. Other than that there isn't much more tips i can give you-HellFire -
[beta] Windows Live <-> Yahoo Messenger Interoperability
HellFire121 replied to sparx's topic in Websites and Web Designing
heh this came as a bit of a surprise.. i never thought microsoft would team up with yahoo.. anyways i have no use for this feature because 99% of the people i know just use windows live but i suppose its a good feature for people that don't want to have 2 IM addresses.-HellFire -
Hmm i think it might be the program, check to see if there are any new patches or anything or else i think it might be the drivers.Does any other program have this low fps lag effect or is it just Anim8or? If it's just Anima8or and you've patched it up then it might be some kind of driver conflict but i'm not sure, you might also want to see if anyone else has this issue.-HellFire

Same as me i've never heard of the brand but from your description it seems good, i might take a look at some pictures of it because at the moment i'm looking for a nice decent and cheap lcd screen.I don't mind the crt screens though it's just that the lcds are more energy efficient and they look soo much better on your desktop. After i take a look at some pics i might see if they have any in some shops or i might just buy one off an online store.-HellFire

Bluetime / Azoogle Ads Pay Per Impression (CPM) Program Review
HellFire121 replied to OpaQue's topic in Online Advertising
I think it looks pretty good but i'm not sure about it. I currently use paypopup even though popups are annoying i'm sticking with it because it seems like no other site will accept me or i end up getting canceled a few weeks later. Gets veeery annoying when it happens.-HellFire -
Freewebs Going Down Hill my reason for switching
HellFire121 replied to anime princess's topic in General Discussion
Ha freewebs.. who needs them when they have Xisto? you're limited to like 5 pages and something around 1mb plus don't forget all that advertising they put on your pages. If it was my choice i'd choose to post every now and then on the Xisto forums to get quality hosting not some totally free sign up and forget about your account hosting.I used to use freewebs along time ago and i'll admit it was alright for what i needed to do. I'll never switch back to freewebs though.-HellFire -
Netgear Questions What is this site survey tab?
HellFire121 replied to Arbitrary's topic in Computer Networks
In this case you might want to have a read through the manual because there might be something you're doing wrong here, maybe you're doing everything right and it's just the hardwares fault. Maybe try and upgrade the firmware? When i have problems like this with other routers i just upgrade the firmware and it usually fixes the problem and gives you some more functionality too.-HellFire -
Hmm looks like a nice and easy way of making simple popup windows but i think some of the more powerful web designer programs will provide a more complex and powerful system for designing them.Overall i think it's a nice little web based program that will get light jobs done-HellFire

Your Opinion On Dreamweaver What is it?
HellFire121 replied to SileZigns's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I've never used dreamweaver i have before because i have been a frontpage fan, i might turn to dreamweaver if i don't like the new microsoft office frontpage. It gets annoying in frontpage how sometimes it just doesn't want to upload your files and i need to manually upload them with an external ftp client.-HellFire -
PS3 Announcements PlayStation 3 Announcements
HellFire121 replied to CyberReaper1405241516's topic in Computer Gaming
Well the ps3 is pretty impressive but i am personally not a fan of consoles, i prefer the pc where you can pickup good games for $50 and it is easily upgradable. I might (that's a big might) get a 360 for christmas this year when the sales are on, only because i have played one before and had a muck around with one and it seemed pretty cool, paying $600 for a console that only plays games is a waste of money, i'd rather spend that $600 on buying one of the latest graphics cards for my pc.-HellFire -
What Made You Switch To Linux?
HellFire121 replied to snutz411's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I'm thinking about using linux for a server computer because i know it is so much more stable than windows and almost all servers run on linux. Does anyone know what distro of linux would be good for a few game servers, web and irc servers? Currently i'm looking at fedora which was the old red hat distro.-hellfire -
Which Search Engine Do You Use The Most?
HellFire121 replied to prolifik's topic in Computer Networks
Google for me too i agree it is the fastest and it has the most features also the results are easy to read, the msn search is just horible because i havn't seen that many features from it and in my opinion it is hard to see the results clearly because they are all jumbled up together.-HellFire -
Easy Acceptance! Paypopup.com Fast, Easy, Take a Look
HellFire121 replied to clamzo's topic in Online Advertising
I have used them before, they are pretty good actually and they offer quite a bit of flexibility in my opinion. They were annoying sometimes when testing some pages but they have a '1 popup a session' feature if you think your visitors will be happier about that than the popups on every page. Personally I recommend them and you've got nothing to lose so give them a try.-HellFire -
We need more info really, do you plan to RUN it on an ftp server? Because you usually need a shell to do that, and the shell needs to support running processes. Otherwise, uploading them to an ftp server will be fine but i don't think you can execute the server just with ftp-HellFire

Yeah pc ftw!!.. What's the point of having a console when they get outdated, have basically the same gaming capacity as pc's they aren't upgradable and can only play games. A pc you can do whatever you want also you have way more control especially in fps games (ever tried playing a fps on the xbox, whoa) plus if your pc is strugling with the newest games simply go out buy a new video card put it in and your set. Some games even suffer fps lag on the xbox/playstation which imo is bad.-HellFire

Thumbnail Generator For Windows
HellFire121 replied to William GARCIA's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Yeah it does seem like a good tool but i find no use for it, if you'd like previews of websites the new opera 9 has it, if you are loading up a tab you can hover the mouse over the tab and it will show a picture preview of the site, it's pretty good when you have a lot of tabs open, but yeah i don't really have any use for a tool like this, thanks for sharing though!-HellFire -
What Do You Think Of My New Laptop (Sager 5720) Sager 5720
HellFire121 replied to GoranCro's topic in Hardware Workshop
wow.. 103 fps in counter strike source on a laptop? I never thought i could see that, it's amazing how nvidia can make such powerful graphics cards so small, heh that laptop even beats my pc (Except for the cpu, mines a dual core 3ghz), but still i can't get over it lol. How much did it cost? i'm guessing about $4000 AUD (The average price for a decent laptop here is around $3000 which i'm guessing can get around 50fps average on cs:s).-HellFire -
Windows Live Messenger 8 Final Release
HellFire121 replied to dhanesh1405241511's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I think there isn't too much added overall. all i pretty much use it for is instant messaging but some of the features are nice such as the improved looks and offline messages, the sharing folders are good for just 2 way sharing but if you need to share with more people it's hopeless, otherwise it's not a bad update. I'll be looking forward to the new messenger plus which adds a hell of a lot of features that messenger is lacking. You can check it out at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ -
That would be cool especially because some people don't have the time to brush twice a day or if they just can't be bothered. It's like some toothpastes that are already out that provide 24 hour protection so if the inventors can expand on that then that would be cool.-HellFire
