  1. Quickly and simply, use: <?phpecho date("d/m/y"); ?>It is the format day/month/year so you could have: <?phpecho date("y/m/d"); ?>To give you your result. ~souradipm
  2. Install a good firewall. On top of that, install a good anti-virus. This will stop most viruses getting in, and when some do, they'll have a pleasent surprise in store for them...~souradipm
  3. Thing is, my computer is a family PC and I don't want to turn it into a webserver. Also, this code is actually part of a larger program, making it so that I have to complete the program to actually test it out.~souradipm

Hey, Try this login system - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ It has a members area, admin panel, member profile, etc. ~souradipm
  5. Hey, I am currently making a program with php and I need to know an answer - I need to know the wildcard for all. It may sound stupid, I know it is *(asterisk) but does php support it? if ($var="Sometext".*) { //code here}Will that work? Any other solutions? Thanks in advance, souradipm

  7. Awww,I HATE shareware. This is merely a trial. So is StyleXP! I'm not bunching up these 'utilities' on my harddisk with only 3.01GB left out of 18GB! The way to fasten up your PC is to drop the load - delete unnecessary files and your PC will be a fast as new in no time! I'll do that when I get enough disks to store my files on...Good program though,~souradipm
  8. Yeah, I like the built in mod installer - less time to install and less errors after installing!sparx, phpBB does have features to see if you're using the latest version. I didn't know there was a feature to update direct, though, for SMF!Anyway, I like the name too, it most ressembles mine...~souradipm
  9. Hey, that was on the news yesterday! Nothing new to me I guess... That computer was less powerful than a simple mobile phone!~souradipm
  10. COOL! An EXACT copy of Microsoft Excel, only FREE and worlwide accessable! I like Google a lot! ~souradipm
  11. Yeah, SMF and phpBB are the ones that fit my needs. XMB, MyBB, etc are just too hard to intergrate with my site and the mods are mostly for older versions of the forum. SMF and phpBB are the ones I like best. Anyways, I've found SimpleMachines easier to intergrate with my site. I'm now using TinyPortal! My forum/website is now located at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Thanks for all the advice, souradipm
  12. Too bad you need to OWN the server computer! Otherwise I would have got my MMORPG running! Maybe I could make an app to rn programs on the server...~souradipm
  13. Ah, thanks. Just the answer I was looking for.I have heard that phpBB has been hacked a lot and SMF seems to have more 'supported' features built in. Categories Heirarchy has changed my phpBB installation quite a lot, and there isn't any mods compatitable.I think I'll try SimpleMachines.~souradipm
  14. Hi,I've been looking for decent forum software and I came up with phpBB and SMF. I installed phpBB with Categories Hierarchy and I a,m thinking to use SMF. Do you think I should get SMF or stick with phpBB? I realy don't know...~souradipm
  15. First, nothing is free. There is a catch, you have to pay for addons.Second, you get a free online drive WITH email AND efax with lycos mail, my email account. Its coded in javascript too!I dont like programs in java but not on the web...~souradipm
