  1. My account was activated straight after registering.. then in only about 3 hours the domain was fully propagated. In the next 2 days there was a short downtime, but other than that it has always been up. Works great with Xisto too
  2. wow.. he must have been really involved in the game.. surely a short trip to the fridge for some food or drink couldn't hurt. When i play games (i usually play fps games) and i'm hungry, within the respawn time i take a quick trip to the fridge. get something to eat and eat while playing.. simple.. and its only a game.. someone doesnt have to try and finish it, after all it is only for enjoyment, it doesn't become something like a job, like you HAVE to finish it.Very strange
  3. Making your own template would also be good because you don't have to have those copywrites on your site, even though, they do sometimes look a bit plainer and the premade ones look very good
  4. After ages of searching i finally found a good domain name service. One that doesnt just forward to your url. I set it up in my cpanel as an addon domain with the two Xisto nameservers, and within about 5 hours it was ready for use. Thats what i call a very quick service.Combined with cpanel it is really, a great service.http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  5. Unless you could make a php web based one, but i find them to be very boring after a while. Go with what the other people said, learn directX or openGL and make a client and server, which would be the best way to do it. BUT This could take AGES, maybe 1 year maybe more but it might pay off in the end, where you could offer a subscription service if you would like to.
  6. system restore, formatting or reinstalling windows might be a bit hard since the computer is only on for 1 second
  7. I used to have norton internet security 2005 and i totally agree it slows down your pc, it took at least 2 minutes just to display the norton interface. My pc is only a 1ghz celeron and with 350mb ram. I use nod32 and it is great, very speedy startup, very low memory usage and quick and accurate scanning. I also use zonealarm security suite with the antivirus turned off, that takes the most time to start up out of all the other programs i've got to set at startup
  8. Well HD would probably be the best way to go because of price (imagine paying $1000 for a ps3 game :S) but the price may go down quite a bit later on because it is only in an early stage of development (i think).Overall it would probably be best if consoles have a drive that could read blu-ray and HD discs. I would go with blu-ray if the price does go down because, better graphics and way more play time
  9. This is happening to me too. I'm going to submit a support ticket and try to get this issue sorted, i am trying to set up a mini site for my friend and his ftp access isn't working (subsubdomain.subdomain.astahost.com), and this issue is really starting to get urgent
  10. You could check the power supply, check if it is running at the right voltage and it is plugged into everything properly, it could also be a virus. Also about the hibernation, if it goes into hibernation windows will say that it is saving your session, then your computer will turn off. It is unlikely this issue because you need to manually turn back on your computer. So you have 2 possibilites:Its a hardware issueIts a software/virus issueI would reccomend checking all the connections and jumpers inside your case, make sure it is all running at the right freqency and you might also want to check your bios settings
  11. too bad you cant find gmax around on the autodesk site now, they have stopped offering it. Im sure if you search around you may still find a few copies along with the tutorials, help files, textures and extra plugins.I have used gmax before it it is extremely powerful especially in game editing, some games come with their own editor plugin package that loads straight into gmax for immediate editing and scripting (for some games). Its a shame autodesk stopped offering it though
  12. wow nice.. you really have some skills.how long did it take to make?
  13. I personally don't like text based games, just takes the fun out of it and it gets boring after a while. I would rather play graphical games that are more exciting. But overall it does seem like a good game if you're into this sorta thing
  14. hmm actually i might reconsider.. i might go for it and try again as i do go to a load of sites, i am a member of alot of forums but mainly i use the same password for sites i dont care about, and some sites i make sure i have really secure passwords for. i did try roboform out around a year ago and alot of things i expect would have changed
  15. The only time i would care about mice is when im gaming, when it is critical if you are playing in a tournament.Anyways my mouse is a labtec one.. after about 2 years of use the battery compartment lid is starting to break, that is very annoying. It is optical and wireless.Later on i am planning to get a logitech mouse, the best one i can get here (which is around $150 australian dollars).
  16. Usually the only thing in a .exe file is strings associated with the program and a built in image for the icon at various colour bits and sizes. If you want to get into a programs files you will need to use some sort of resource hacker mentioned by PureHeart, but it is definitely not easy, very complicated and time consuming. In my opinion unless it is absolutely necessary, don't both with it.
  17. Just want to start something here: Do you prefer to use website templates or make one from scratch?Personally i use templates, i don't have the time and skills to make a whole website design. One of the templates i was using a week ago had used frontpage's layer feature and wasn't displaying properly so i had to rebuild the whole template, using the original images. Really, the part that i don't have time for is the images, i am o.k at photoshop but not too good to make visually pleasing web images for my site. What are your opinions on this?
  18. oh yeah.. didnt think of that..well what twitch said it would be best to save usernames only, and maybe (thats a big maybe) if you registered for a site you think you will never visit alot then you could get off with saving your password. Also i usually choose between a mix of passwords so i usually never forget, more important sites = more secure/rarely used passwords
  19. wow thanks for that, i will be checking that out right nowWhoa 400+mb (only a 4 hour download but still ) and it says i need to have a lotta memory (i only got 256). Thanks anyway, does anyone have a link to the seperate brushes?
  20. When my old host closed down from lack of money i knew there was no other free hosting that will offer what they offer, so i turned to forum posting hosting and Xisto is the first one i tried, and it is so good that i will stay here for as long as i need to. Posting here is easy, as there are alot of topics to choose from. The system you have works great and i think you should stick with it.Good job
  21. I have used this program before but found it a far waste of effort, not much use to put it to considering most web browsers offer the option to save passwords and autofill forms for you.Within a few hours of testing i uninstalled it, waste of time and my bandwith to download it
  22. Usually your site will be in googles index's in the next month, when google does its reindexing. So all the new websites that have been submitted SHOULD be added to googles site crawler index. I will have more information about this soon because nearly a month ago i submitted a google sitemap, i will see what happens at the start of next month.
  23. Hi i am just starting to get into sig making and i have read a few tutorials, most which need these grunge brushes made by the crazy grunge. I have a few but where can i get all of them? I have tried searching but not much luck. Thanks oops forgot to mention: the PHOTOSHOP brushes
  24. What could they do? If they do impement a protection virus creators will just find ways to bypass it. The best option is to buy antivirus and firewall programs, keep them updated and keep them turned on all the time when your computer is on.Windows will only protect the processes from being terminated (from my experience)... if you open the task manager and try to terminate lssass.exe or something it will just say that it cant terminate because it is a critical system process.
