While this is being asked, just another question to be popped in .. sorry cyborgxxi.When you said that we could unzip the forum software files to the "Public_HTML" folder, what or how do i write the configuration detail when asked for by the forum while installation. As in some forums ask you to type in your forum folder like "forum" or "forums" , so in this case do i leave the place blank or just a "/" would do ? I havent tried this out yet or neither have i installed a forum in root, i always use the folder , but after reading the post, this thought did cross me.RegardsDhanesh.

Nice one for a start, but as reaver suggested, change the background color a little, and try to change the text to a different color or shade. My idea might sound totally "not artistic" but i guess many people would like to differenciate between text and background through colors. Effects come in later. Correct me if i am wrong. This IS a very fast and effective way when no Admin is around, I agree. And if for a few the question arise, if its safe to send your password to the e-mail mentioned .. then i guess i have to say that from my experience, it is SAFE ! lol, i think rapidshare needs a little customer satisfaction training. Anyways they dont care, Most of the users use rapidshare, and i guess contries that use proxy are very less, so most dont even bother giving a flawless queue system.RegardsDhanesh

Yeap, I'd agree to pureHeart, Infact if you can sign in to your cPanel and go to support from there i suggest you do that, assuming you have your valid e-mail set on the top left of the cPanel Admin. The support is very fast and effecient, I have had problems before and belive me, they help you out till you have your problem is resolved, or suggest an alternative, either ways you stay happy so try out the support, i am shure you would resolve your problem faster.RegardsDhanesh

Well , rapidshare does not work in the United Arab Emirates, nomatter what you do. Its not that there is a proxy on it, its just some problem with the IP and proxy that says that yo have already downloaded ***** MB and you have to wait an hour to download more. So basically this site isnt useful for ppl living in the gulf.I would recomend Megaupload or uploadtemple or yousendit or sendthisfile :)RegardsDhanesh.

I am still wondering ... Y would you want to use Frontpage for file transfer ? You always have the option of using FTP programs like CuteFTP, BulletFTP etc. I personally use CuteFTP and things work like a charm between me and my account on asta. No problems of hosting in 4 mths now. Folder creation is fine, upload of files is fine, editing of php files through the FTP programs works fine. I would suggest you to use an FTP program and the cPanel file manager can be used to just randomly check your files and the permissions or delete huge folders that take up more time on FTP.RegardsDhanesh.

Yeap , i agree to M^e , if you had a basic guideline for people who wanted to write tutorials it would be easy for them and us too. Besides, many dont know what tutorial is for what OS. Just my stupid example is enough, There was a Nvidia Gfx driver hack posted somewhere here around 2-3 mths ago. As a normal newbie would do, i started doin stuff on Windows .. ... later on i found out that the codes that were supplied were for Linux and not windows. If M$ has to come up against a competitor like Sun Microsystem's Office alternative, then they have to provide us with pretty much better options than the default office ones. I heard that Office 12 can open up graphic files directly into the editor, as in if i have a .jpeg in word and i say edit image, the image opens up in a editor i specify. like photoshop for instance, and then saves it after i am done. Beta testers get accepted not so easily by microsoft, unless its a public review. Like the Live Mail, it was a public beta and almost everyone who signed up for the beta test got a chance to see the mail in action. As for the Messenger 8, M$ has already supplied a beta download link. Maybe they didnt want the leak to go over head.I tested the Messenger 8, and i kinda feel it needs a serious revamping thought, even though its changed a hell lot, the GUI needs to be improved for user compatibility. Many users dont know what some of the MSN features are, they need to put in tool tips and descriptions rather than use full memory while running messenger.The only 1 feature that i liked was the introduction of "Offline Messages". With the Yahoo+MSN joining hands, i guess things would be better and easier now between the 2 clients. Yahoo rocks in VoIP and Msn in its IM service, so when both the giants are joind together, its like a beer fest in the desert. Just hope that this time M$ dosent screw up with the bugs and viruses.RegardsDhanesh.

Was waiting for this since almost 4 mths now, They shifted their release date almost 3 times and its been a real depression. Well finally its out and i know how much this tool has helped me. I think it is the best emulator available out there. Hats of to those guys, with the mails and dicouragements they were getting, i would freek out and stop the release, but these guys continued it and finally released it.RegardsDhanesh.

hmm .. to be frank, i really didnt know that the credits get lowered to 3 or 4 after getting hosted. I gave up my previous hosting (cyph3r .. hehe kill me m^e ) because i couldent keep up to the credits, i come and go once in a while because of college now. SO thought would start over, and accumulate credits ( how much ever i can ) and then apply for a hosting package. But if my credits go up to 80+ and i apply for the hosting, i assume it will drop down to 3 again ?Well in that case, i'd rather apply for hosting and just keep it. Because time is the only constrain i dont have right now. I, once in a while check the site and give my inputs and the credits keep rolling. Even though, if someone like me bothers about a post and not credits, I feel its still a little unfair to drop it down to 3, maybe 15 would do or so. I am not questioning the Admins rules, but just giving my point of view on this. If there were credits on a shoutbox , i bet i would have got more than 100 by now , its all about fun, and sharing knowledge. This credit thing isnt bothering me so much , i guess it shouldent bother anyone else who just wants a little time, gobbling on technology info ;)RegardsDhanesh
