  1. That is true that new consoles today or getting more boring and unentertaining by the days. When I was younger, I played the Super Nintendo, and that was able to hold my attention for a long time. I didn't have a fear of messing up and dieing a gory death, now comparing to the new consoles. For the PS2, I'm afraid to actually die that much times, because they made it that hard and annoying. I'm not really a console gamer though, because I tend to hang out more around the computer. I guess I don't have much to say here, but I do think that new consoles today are getting a lot more ridiculous.I mean, why do they want to add a service for X-Box Live and cost to use, when anyone could just load up Battlefield 2/Counter Strike and enjoy it without having to pay monthly? Also, why would they want to add internet access to these consoles? They already have computers..
  2. To get back on topic (Ehm, I guess so), I play a variety of free online games/RPG games. One free MORPG I play is Maple Story. (I'm not really sure if it's a MORPG or a MMORPG) Maple Story has four classes with many other subclasses within the four main classes. The four classes are: The Warrior, The Mage, The Thief, and The Bowman. Well, I do spend quite some time on it, and I do get bored at the same time. I basically train/sell/restock on potions, and repeat that all, everytime. The only class that has kept me entertained in this game, is the class of Thieves. Preferably, I choose the assassin type more over the bandit type. (Assassins use distance with throwing stars, and bandits use daggers/cutters for melee fighting) I've yet to reach the level 40 mark, and have played the game since the Beta version was out. Currently today, Maple Story has been released in it's "official" state, and now offers a cash shop, featured popularly in many other games such as GunBound : World Champion. I do also play the mage, and the warrior though. My warrior is level 23, my thief is level 23, and my mage is level 27. Not really interesting to know if you do not prefer this game or know about it, but thought I'd brag about it or something...Another online game I play is GunZ: The Duel. GunZ is almost like a FPS game smashed with a RPG styled layout. (Such as level, and get new guns) I've learned so much for the game, and I've gotten a lot more skillful in it as well. If you wish to play as a professional in this game, you must have a good mouse and quick hands. I do have somewhat quick hands, and am able to perform some of the professional players techniques. Professional players in this game, are always Koreans. This may sound racist, but it is true. Most of the Koreans who play this game dominate over the American players. I'm hoping to become as good as them someday when I have that much free time.I have only two games that I play that are free. The rest I play is bought from the internet or from stores. Though, some other games I play are:-Counter Strike-Half Life-The Sims-The Sims 2-Age of Empires 2 : Age of Kings-Age of Empires 2 : The ConquerorI do enjoy these daily, but I don't consider myself a gamer at the same time.
  3. Hey welcome! I kind of joined some time too.I don't see why these two are arguing over the internet.. Over an avatar. I mean, I bet they've seen avatars where people kill each other, and they don't say a thing..
  4. Well I recently joined Xisto today, for some hosting and some advice.Well, my name is Michael, and that's all you really need to know... I hope my stay is very welcomed......
  5. Seeing as my friend has City of Heroes and City of Villains, it doesn't really quite fit to my taste at all. The graphics are great, but seeing robots or whatever they are, doesn't really make it fulfill my needs. I have created a character on his account, and it is level 3. The fighting is great, and it'd be a great game if I was really (Really really) bored.I'd give it a 7/10.
  6. Well I play GunZ and I really enjoy it. I've practiced many strategies for the game. Some of the more famous techniques that I use are:-The Slashshot-The Butterfly StepI've made four characters to practice on both steps. I even made one to try out the dagger. (Though to my dismay, I did not like it and switched to kodachis[dual swords], which I also regret)I have a level 14 character with a level 10 shotgun (I have enough for the level 15 one), level 12 dual revolvers. I also have a level 12 character with a level 10 shotgun, and level 12 dual revolvers. (Alright, it's probably not interesting anyways, so forget it)I now am being as patient as I can, to wait for the MAIET team to fix up the little login server problems they are currently encountering.@Dr. - These "dagger noobs" you talk of, are really easy to evade. You must press the spacebar when they attempt to disengage you. This will make your character jump.
  7. Yes, The Sims 2 is a very nice game. It is very fun, and it has a better point to play it now! Oh yeah, and your post has less than 150 characters, that's spamming! Good job!Anyways, The Sims was introduced to me in 5th grade, as some boring repetitive game that holds your attention span for an hour or less. Now with The Sims 2, it can keep my addiction from playing Counter Strike down. The Sims 2's feature of aging Sims made me think about buying it, and finally, I've bought it.
  8. I simply find Dark Throne more realistic than Kings of Chaos, and more fun. In KoC, you lose all your hard work when these so called "ages" end. While in Dark Throne, you can work your way up and gain strength as you level. It has kept my attention for more than 1 year, and has made me want to experiment with different strategies of creating a character. Some experiements I've tried:-Full Offense (High offense, low defense, low spy offense, medium spy defense)-Full Defense (Low offense, high defense, low spy offense, high spy defense, high amounts of miners)-Balanced (Medium offense, medium defense, high spy offense, high spy defense, high amounts of miners)
  9. Maple Story does also lack the "easier" way around to level. Currently for levels 21-30, you can participate in a quest with a party, called the PQ (Party Quest). You can gain quick EXP from it if your party leader is quick at clicking, but most of the times it's wasteful waiting. They should have implemented quests that give out more EXP rather than just 100 EXP when you need 40,000 to level up.
  10. Some of your information is truely outdated. Maple Story is not in Beta form at all. It is now in commerical version. More worlds have been added. Former Tespia has been renamed to Scania, and new servers Bera and Broa, were recently added. The cash shop has been added, so cash shop items are now available. Slowly, Wizet is adding more ideas to the cash shop.Under your cons, you do not lose 10% EXP everytime you die. If you read the beginner's guide, it should tell you that you lose 5% EXP. Thieves who have higher LUK (Luck) lose less EXP.You also CAN be ripped off, due to newer ways to scam unaware players/newbie players.Basically, Maple Story is a little bit better than RuneScape and more effort was put into it, but you do lose favor with it in a couple of days. I rate it a 8/10.
  11. In a lighter way of saying it, Adventure Quest isn't really the type of game that is recommended for true MMORPG fanatics. This is really a disgrace, as you don't have ANY connection with the other players that play this game, other than the forums.I have found a cracked client for it, and I've experimented with it. It did indeed to everything it said it would let you do. (Such as get guardian armor, and get all skills, armor, etc.)Adventure Quest blew me off when the member limit allowed on lowered and lowered.
  12. Amazing, you're calculators can play games on them? You 2 also have amazing calculators. I mean, mine is a real basic one. I have a TI-30X IIS and, I thought it was a great quality $20 calculator.Comparing mine to yours, yours highly outstands mine. (Mine is just meant for Algebra 1 and 2, yes I'm not really out of junior high yet, but this is my last year)
  13. Yes, I have had an addiction to this game since the 6th grade. I started as a newbie and rose 48 levels. I am currently an Undead Fighter. I have over one hundred twenty million offense and one hundred million defense. My miners have brought my success higher and higher. 30,000 miners are recruited, and they are bringing me about 2.5 million per turn.I've been in a few conflicts, but they've always been solved with a big slap from my offense.
  14. RuneScape is a fair game. It is basically a "ghetto" version of Everquest, and has every basic aspect of the more complex popular commerical MMORPG's out there, such as WoW and EQ.RuneScape can hold your attention for some time, but it's unfair death rating can blow you away. Whenever you die, you will always lose all your items besides 3 other useless items. (Maybe useless)It has kept my attention until I have reached level 66 with a full set of the highest quality armor. I've finished all the quests, and it has left me dead right on the spot. I've triked PKing (Player Killing) and it was fun while it lasted. I became a hybrid class (Combination of 3 classes: Ranger, Warrior, and magician) and was able to dominate over others. The fun did end when I found way too much gold from PKing though.I can't say much about RuneScape as I haven't been a premuim member, but as a free member, I'd rate the free members portion of the game a 7/10. The graphics aren't that great, that is one downfall that may bring the diehard graphics fanatic sorrow.
  15. I have bought Counter Strike, and I do not think that it is expensive at all. I mean, you probably spend more than $15 dollars in 1 month anyways. I have played both Battlefield 2 and Counter Strike, and in my opinion, Counter Strike is a lot more newbie friendly. Battlefield 2 has all these complex rankings for some newbies to understand, such as having a special rank to get a certain weapon. While in Counter Strike, you depend on money that you gain every single round. (A little unreal, but a lot more understandable.)Counter Strike is in my opinion my favorite game over Battlefield 2. I've just gotten so used to headshots happening, that in Battlefield 2, their headshots just rarely happen.Battlefield 2 somewhat seems like a FPS version of a MMORPG.
