  1. PaintShop is just simple enough for beginner. But if you want to reach Art-of-design, Photoshop is the choice. For a web, photoshop is better. Don't you see that all professional web-templates include a photoshop file for editing. Why? Because the designer used photoshop to make the design.
  2. I tried it some minutes ago. It's not as fast as Opera, not powerful as FireFox. The only thing that attracted me was the interface. The AvantBrowser is pretty beautiful. Good if I have enough time. Not good when I'm in a hurry and need fast data mining.
  3. Sheet music. I think some program can show the content of a MIDI file as sheet. You can print it out also. All of Music composing software let you do that. After all, the link: http://musicmasterworks.com/
  4. What do you mean? ASP.NET can end the session after a specific time. This can be set. I'm not know how to do it exactly but I know that's possible. My friend did it before, in one of his project.
  5. That happen when you upgrade your system and/or delete and then re-add the user name. The system will work fine. Don't worry. But if you don't want that, you can reinstall the whole system to solve the problem.
  6. OK,OK. But after all these discussion. My question is still remain unanswered. Admins, I want to know :DO Xisto - Support HTTPS OR NOT?
  7. Intel is overclockable also. I did that on my system. Overclocked it from 2.8Ghz to 3.3Ghz. I just try it. After that, I change my system to normal state. Every system can be overclocked if it's supported by the mainboard and the BIOS.
  8. APP NAME : ISMViewer.exe After I run the Application (That's an ebook reader) In IE's history, there's some url like this htmlzi vnschool.net/index.htm When I clicked on it... I know what it is , but don't know how to create it. How to handle a custom protocol? In the App, IE's dropdown menu is not shown either. How can I prevent it show showing on user's screen? Many application can do those things (MSDN Library, for example) Does anyone know how to do so? Currently, I'm using VB.NET and Java.
  9. There's something that make ASP.NET better, the way page called. In ASP.NET if there's about N (a very large amount) people access the same page, it just like one people do. But in PHP, system overload, because PHP is just a server-side scripting language. It's not a real programming language yet.
  10. I don't get any error here. Everything's going fine. Harkanwal, you should reinstall the whole system whenever possible. That may also clears bugs and improve your system perfomance.PS : I'll tell my friend about that. Maybe they will try it.

  12. Yes, MSN Spaces if the best blog provider nowaday. Their templates are beautiful. You don't you write blog entries in both English and Thai, one for international reader and one for local one. In my blog, I write by both English and Vietnamese. My Space : http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ For the Reunion
  13. Hey guy, Wha't the font you used at the bottom of the sig. I like it, but don't have it. Can you send me a copy of that font to nguyenvanthoai@gmail.com.I've seen many people use that in their sig. It seems to be a popular font, nice.
  14. It depends on your need. For a small/personal sites, use PHP. For a large/commercial site, ASP.NET is a better choice. Something to know :There're more open source script for PHP than for ASP.NETMost hosting provider (include Xisto) support PHP.ASP.NET is more expensive. And finally, PHP doesn't support Web Services (up to now).
  15. There's something wrong with Xisto's MySQL Service these days. You don't need to do anything. The problem itself will disappeared soon.
  16. Sound great ! I'm very interested in this. How much does it cost? Where can I find more information about that kind of battery. What's its offical website.
  17. We just need https for important information only. The https page just be called once when user login or send somekind of secret data. So, the connection speed doesn't matter.
  18. That's so great ! But this's not a new news anyway, right? I've read it somewhere on the net lastweek. What do you think about overclocking guys. Is it good or bad for you. I think there's no reason for that. The CPU is fast enough for most of us, nowaday.
  19. No, that's just an example. I want to protect my users from losing important information like their password (many people use the same password for different sites). I also need a https for something else. I'm learning HTTPS in PHP. And I need a place to test my scripts. I can't do that without a https enabled server.
  20. Design for both dialup and broadband. It's better. In some cases, a broadband connection doesn't mean that this site will be provided fast. It also depends on the ISP. 2 version for the same site is always a good idea.
  21. it's your hosting domain. The POP and SMTP is open. Check the cPanel for login info.
  22. Take the AMD 64 bit processors 2.2 GHz with a 1GHz FSB. They're better. I know that it will have a better performance than the other one.
  23. There's no error message here. I'm using FireFox version 1.0.7 (offical, not a nightly build). And here's the screenshoot.
  24. You should make two different version of the same website. One with simple graphics and text (for dial-up user), and another for broadband users. You can let them select the suitable speed at the home page. Or you a flash to check the connection speed and then redirect the visitor to the right site.
  25. It doesn't work for me, the FF stop responding when I click Option. Nothing is shown at the status bar.
