How Can I Delete Old Files In Windows Xp ? HELP
PureHeart replied to PureHeart's topic in Websites and Web Designing
The security tab is displayed in Windows 2000. But not in Windows XP. I can't modify anything. This problem seem to be hard to solve, right? What do you mean? Create the same user with that name, and he can take over that folder. No, I tried that. It doesn't work. My Hard Disk, no. I may reinstall the system once again. Delete the whole partition. What do you think about this idea? -

What do you mean? Upload music to own site or another one's site. For my site, I use FileZilla to upload via FTP. And for some file hosting, I upload via browser.

You need a good C skill at first. Then you need to learn at least 1 graphic engine. Have a look at DirectX (for windows, fast) and OpenGL (muti-platform, open source). They're the most popular ones. Read the SDK document carefully before beginning. Otherwise, you'll meet lots of troubles during progress.

The owner of the domain will be YOU. That sound great, right? You can set all contact information. When you do the whois lookup. The domain will display as your property . But HostBidder also has some limit. They give out 30 domain/month. Anway, you needn't worry about that. Last month, there were just 8 domain request. Earning point is very easy also. You can finish it within 2 week. (95 good posts at technical forum).

PureHeart replied to bridenhosen's topic in Computer Gaming
In my opinion, the Best one is Grandia 2. I've played that game so many times. I know that there're better ones, but I really love the story of Grandia 2. It remind me about myself. There're connections between the story of the game and the story of my life.I also like Final Fantasy, especially, version 7. The movie of that game is cool also. I watched it many times. For me, Final Fantasy 7 has the 2nd position -

I have a Mitsumi keyboard, a mitsumi wheel mouse. Yeah, they're simple and quite good for me. I've been use them since buying my current PC. Anyway, I still don't want to use the keyboard as much as now. I'm training my system to understand my voice. I want to speak everything. But, that require time and time. I'm using Dragon NaturallySpeaking as the voice regconize program.

I think that we can/should use an other free file-hosting services for mutimedia content. This may save the bandwidth and disk space which are very limited and seem that not enough for those content.

What Are Your Opinions / Views About Oracle ?
PureHeart replied to Bio1405241516's topic in Programming
It's wonderful for enterprise-level application. It's also very powerful. The oracle has some extra tools for developer (form builder , for ex). Nowaday, Oracle is the best Database. Even better than MSSQL. Anyway, it not for personal use and small project. Because it require lots of system resource. And the price, not cheap enough for individual developer. -

How Can I Make An Adsl-connection In Linux ?
PureHeart replied to Bio1405241516's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yes, that's it! But don't forget to turn on the DHCP server of the router. Some router doesn't enable this by default. You may need to set a static IP for your PC if router doesn't support DHCP.If you use a ADSL Modem, you'll need a native driver for your Linux Distro, look for help at the LUG. -

Anduril, why do you say the code works on *NIX* only. I think that an algorithm is Platform independent. -
Linking A Subdomain To Invision Free Board
PureHeart replied to nightfox1405241487's topic in General Discussion
I think you can use an free DNS server. Then point the IP to 67.15.4.42 You may want to try changeip.com . They have many cool sub-domain name to choose from. Check it, you'll like it.Why IPB, how about other free forum out there. How about the popular phpBB. It's not very powerful, but It's free. With Invision Free, they put ads on your forum, that's not good at all, right? -
I used to use the WinSock control in the traditional VB6 to make connections between computers. But now, I've moved to VB.NET and I want to know how can I do the same thing in .NET. Is there any .NET class that have the same function as WinSock 2? Please help me, I may need some example on how to use that class (code in VB.NET, please).

Wait, if you want to change something in an EXE file, you may be able to do this by changing its resource. There's a program called "Resource Hacker". It allow you to make some simple modification in the resources of EXE file. This way, you can change the interface of program in that exe file. You may also want to translate a program to your native language.
