  1. "/usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/php4 on line 928" is really a systemwide problem. Unfortunately it could be more funny, probably this forbidden (ascii 22) character has been entered in a user configuration file and sent directly to the system. If you have access to your cpanel, could you please have a look at your DNS settings, in order to see if you see something like your ▬ character ?If you don't find anything, we should ask an admin to have a more careful look at your index.html page.-------------By the way, I made a small change in your topic title, making it more explicit so that more helpful people could step in.
  2. Just about the googling thing : what about trying that way ? https://www.google.fr/search?hl=fr&q=hoB+sun&meta= Gives nice replies like this or like this : Seems rather promissing. I will not go further (I'm an AIX guy, not a Sun one, but Unix is still worldwide...)
  3. Not necessarily. I love the "fluently" part of the title.I would say that I speak SQL language rather fluently. My English is relly not fluent. My C++ is not existent. And my html pages are worldwidely said very ugly. So my fluent language count should be "1". Or maybe should I also add +1 for Germand ans Spanish ? But these are only holidays languages, so in standard situation I need several hours in order to resynch.
  4. Maybe it's not a shame, maybe it's simply normal. I would like to know how to offer things for free, probably need to be very rich or to have a big source of revenue.
  5. Hi, Are you compliant with the network ethiqhette ? (Sorry, the network etiquette or the network ethics). Did you know that there is a very serious document explaining how you should behave on the network, what is a newbie, and so on ? Look at here : http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1855.txt Yordan
  6. Read the psql answer, a few lines upwards in the present post, you will already have a good idea of the difference. Also my answer gives the basic options.
  7. I guess the subject concerns some people who, at school or at work, don't have and admin account, so they have to ask the admin each time they want to install something. In that case, if you could be able to create an admin account for yourself, you would feel free to do anything you want. Unfortunately, the "F11" trick which is the subject of this topic does not work. And the second trick destroys the admin password, which is somehow brutal, the admin will notice that and restore the system from the last backup, and your pirate account will disappear.
  8. Really surprising, indeed. Seems to be exactly the way I proceed with M**crosoft Windows, in Explorer I right click and I push the "open with" box. Quite not normal.
  9. Thanks a lot, this could be useful for some gamers. There are a lot of posts around here asking how to change IP address, using such proxies avoid physically changing the IP address.I just tried the first one, 121.1.3.194 , does not seem to be so brillant, should try the next ones.
  10. You know what ? I'm happy !Some of you think that it's normal to have their wesite hosted at Xisto since a long time, it seems normal. But it's not so obvious.A lot of free webservers were flying around here, who remembers them ?And a lot of them are already dead, just try to connect again :MY10GB.COM 1MAJORHOST.COMKINGOFHOSTS.COM1GB.CCCTRLALTHOST.COMFR33HOST.NETHOZTIX.COM 9999mb.com4thost.us.to They were promissing a lot of things, and they are gone, they simply could not survive.Big up, Asta !
  11. You can also get the hp usb drive format tool directly from the hp site : http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/?ac.admitted=1480685746587.1123376534.492883150 However, I got better results with the driver from the distro described here : http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and downloaded from here : http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Regards Yordan
  12. Two things, rraallvv :First of all, this topic is supposed to be a tutorial explaining us the F11 trick. Now we know that this trick does not work. However, the goal of all replies to the present topic should be comments saying "it does not work" or giving complementary information on how to make it work. Other solutions should be made by means of opening a separate topic. Secondly, pressing the "F11" key is a fully legit operation, it's quite legal to accidentally press the F11 key during the boot. However, downloading and using things like the ophcrack are completely illegal and are stringly forbidden in most of countries. Take care, I'm pretty sure it's also not accepted by Xisto's forum rules.
  13. seems to be the same problem as here : http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-bugs/2002-07/msg00196.html This guy solved his problem by using "cc" instead of gcc.
  14. Don't they verify this from your IP ? Or do you have a way of choosing your IP so that it says you'r Kadoka, SD, USA ?
  15. Great idea ! I would like to try this !Unfortunately, XDrive restration crashes, said "try again later".
  16. The real question is : do you like the pictures you made with this camera ?Are they bright, do you like the colours ? How is the flash ? Did you already take a lot of pictures ? How much among them are nice ?
  17. How does Lithuanian look like ? Is the writing like Russian, with Cyrillik characters ?
  18. Looking at adobe forum is a great idea. However, if you have a look at the answers to this post, you will see that the problem has already been solved by Xisto forum people. Downloading the last version of the software directly from Adobe was the trick. The only remaining question was the way to get some money back from adobe because of the scratched CD, I think it's hopeless. I guess the money paid to Adobe is for licencing the software, whether the software was obtained by conventional mail or by a download from Adobe server.
  19. What do you mean ? Do you want us to create a poll on the subjet "do you like the present post Y/N" ?
  20. How do you do that ? Simply opening the "startup" folder ? Or do you have to remove it from the Windows Registry ?
  21. concise although complete, I love this tutorial, congrats.I don't see the "Listen" section, I guess this is what you mean with "computers on your network", because like this I suppose that the service can be used only from localhost.
  22. This is the main problem I see on the laptops. If the screen on your desktop is dying, you simply buy another screen. On a laptop, the screen is part of the computer, if the screen dies, you cannot simply go to the supermarket and buy another screen, you must bring your computer to customer service and wait until it's repared.
  23. Seems very nice. Did you try it ? Does it work with your PC and your USB flashdisk ? And how does it work ? Does it need a special formatting tool ?
  24. Yes, I can reach it from here. this means that the routing tables to my ISP's client PC's are correct, and the gateways are set to our ISP's support network, but not to your ISP's client support. If your ISP can reach it, that means that ISP's side is correct, and Xisto's site does not route to the client PC's.By the way, another path to explore : how are you connected ? Is ther an embedded firewall inside your Internat home router ?
  25. OK, this clearly says that there is a routing problem, at Xisto side. So, you need urgently support from Xisto. Have a look at M^me post here : http://forums.xisto.com/topic/87604-topic/?findpost=1064330381 He explains that if you urgently need support, you should send a mail to support_AT_astahost_DOT_com Please try this, and come back here. This reveals a very important problem, and Xisto has to urgently repair it. Because if their gateway has a problem for the free hosted sites, the paid hosting sites have the same problem.
