Dmaster14... the games rotate characters on a regular basis...that's how the games have all been. It won't change many people's opinion I don't think. Really if they started ignoring the other characters (Chris, Clair, Jill, etc...) for the rest of the games I think it would anger more people then continuing with the character rotation type storyline.That's kind of cool about the trailer haha. I love when stuff like that happens

Oh yea I never even thought to reccomend using knoppix as a bit of a test drive for linux...I always think of it as more of a "HOLY POO I BROKE EVERYTHING" recovery tool then a way to explore the linux environs, good stuff.

Yea so I havn't gone there, but I'd like to point out that people should goto http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ so that they don't get tricked into using your referrers account unless you are nice enough to ask them to, which is I assume what that number is that gets put into your registration account page automatically using that link. If not please correct me but if I'm right thats a really ghey thing to do *has flashbacks of outwar links or whatever that stupid game was called...*

HOLY **********************You don't know how much this pisses me off because I KNEW this would happen as soon as the ESRB changed the GTA SAn An rating to an AO :| I mean sure, change their rating, it ACTUALLY had the mature content in there so its justifiable, but now dumbtards who don't understand what the difference between the original code and modded code is, are going to start attacking every game that has a mod that lets you get nude stuff. I can only iamgine the flood of Tomb Raider, DOA Extreme volleyball, ALL fps, etc games that are about to get attacked for content that some teenage dude who hasn't been laid and likely wont be for a long time created :|But yes if they start actually giving these types of complaints any power to change stuff then gaming is hereby seeing the beginning of its darkest days. I can just iamgine... trying to ban a game because it had a pretty girl in it...a girl whom some random guy hand drew a picture of naked... and since it obvious encouraged him to do this... Yea it looks great, and I'm psyched that I'll actually get to play it as it'll be on a console (or 2) that I'll have access too...my only annoyance is that the stupid teaser is too short haha. I hate when they basically give you NONE of the stuff you wanna see...haha not that its dif then other teaser trailers but just a gripe haha. Either way its looking cool... old character, new locale, new enemies, oh yea, it'll be the kickassness

Personally I'm currently Ati but I mean both have great cards now. Back in the day Ati's gaming cards weren't amazing but nowadays frankly they are neck and neck, and whether you buy ati or the nvidia equiv they will be within a few percent of each others performance usually.The most recent nvidia card is raping the competition simply because its the newest. Once Ati releases the next wave it'll even out again, or they'll be in the lead, who knows. Frankly I'm happy with either company right now so I vote both...but if I had to choose one I'd choose aTi, nvidia used to be my fav but ati won me over when nvidia was releasing all those mediocre huge (physically huge) cards. They quickly recovered but while ati has gone from a humble beginning to high quality, I got the impression nvidia dropped the ball cause they got cocky for a bit. Obviously both are at their peak games now and hopefully it'll stay that way as we can onoly benefit from such a thing.

It pisses me off more then I can put into words about the AO rating. It's an illegal modification of game content to unlock this stuff. Just because it became widely available doesn't mean that the content is there for peoeple to just stumble upon. The ones who say they are intentionally putting this kind of material in the hands of minors should get slapped around a bit. It's rediculous. I mean sure Rockstar should have known to completely take it out, but at the same time from a coders perspective I can understand why they'd assume no one would ever find tthe code so just disabled it as a quicker solution. Frankly I think its a *BLEEP* deal they got, luckily they've already sold enough copies to allow this to not even phase them much haha.

Goldeneye was indeed a classic, it did more for the N64 then anything else ever did. Awesome game indeed (although there were many a good FPS before it, unless u meant first on N64) but yea, while its not in my top 5 since I didn't actually own it myself (I played alot at friends places) it was an amazing accomplishment and an amazing game.

Actually they are called "TPA" or third person action games, normally (although the TPA acronym is basically never used). The fact that its your own character doing the shooting is irrelevant to the POV of the game. First person games are games that allow you to play the majority of the games looking through the eyes of the character you are meant to control. I would say whichever you spend the majority of the game in would be its classification, although I've seen game reviewers and article writers called them "first/third person shooters" on occasion to clarify.To your other point, the fact that you feel gore is necessary in an FPS is kind of limited in scope, especially since you argued my specifications of an FPS... since you say they arn't realistic so E/T rated games shouldn't be FPS' but FPS's dont need to be realistic. Thats what Tactical FPS' are for But regardless, I was moreso just commenting up there, the semantics arn't that important lol.

Havn't read the rest of the earlier posts so theres the chance its been mentioned, who knows, but I've been play https://en.ogame.gameforge.com/ a bit lately. It's not a game in the traditional sense but more of a "true" real time, text based strategy game... go checkit if you want a better explanation hehe. Anyways I've been lovin it as its something that is long term and can be easily played at work

The best way to improve windows performance is to fomrat the drive and install something else...but I digress...Keep your themes and whatnot simple, turn off anything that makes windows less ugly, dont fill your HD to the breaking point, run spyware/adware/virus removal tools regularly, do the msconfig thang to kill useless programs from starting upBasically anything to keep your ram clean, your system running as it was meant to, etc will boost performance. Don't install **** 24/7 off websites you've never heard of, and don't **** with your registry unless you know what you are doing.

I never played much of LoD, just played a bit at a friends place which is no where near enough to warrant a true judgement of an RPG... but my friend did play both and she preferred FF7 even though she liked both alot, so I'll post a vote on her behalf haha.

Three things I feel like commenting on heh1- If there is no storyline in games, it'd be like playing pong over and over... I mean games need to be differnet and they wouldn't make it feel anywhere near as realistic if it was like "You are a cop. Shoot the bad guys" But if you have some big storyline explaining who your character is, you start feeling like you ARE the cop (or whatever, that was just a random example)2- Sephiroth is over rated like difficulty wise, but alot of poeple just love him as a character because he was so wickedly cool personality wise and whatnot.3- FF7 is no more likely to be remade now then before. I hope it gets done, and it COULD get done, but just like when people said it was likely on the PS2...who knows. The tech demo was just to show off square-enix's tech, build hype for the various FF7 products comming out, and show off the PS3. It wasn't meant to imply an FF7 remake was about to be made because I mean, why would they do something THAT obviously FF7 and then deny it...you'd think they'd either just admit to working on it OR do something more subtle.

Yea, I'd agree completely if you factor in price its obviously the best choice, I mean, ya can't beat free (especially when its high quality free). Personally if you put the two side by side simple as software vs softwrae I still prefer M$ Office a bit, dunno why, just do.

Yea if you read all those posts you should be well on your way. I'd agree with the reccomendation to goto distrowatch and spend some time reading reviews and info on different distros. Its worth it to spend some time researching before rushing in and getting stuck with one that doesn't fit your needs. I know when I first tried a distro I just asked a friend which to use, he said gentoo... yea so that didn't go too well haha. I hope to try it again someday but as an introduction to the whole lninux process and not knowing that reading a few "how to install" guides is a good idea beforehand...well...that kinda floored me and made me back away from linux for awhile.I would also say DO dual boot at first unless you have multiple comps. While having the option to use windows may make you learn linux a bit slower, it'll make you have a sense of security so if you get stuck and frustrated at any point you don't need to worry about having your comps functionality completely killed until you figure out the problem. Its nice to be able to explore linux without any worries.Good luck no matter what, and enjoy the linux experience. You won't regret it (Oh and do post which distro you choose or any other Q's you have, we're here to help)

I like MS Office a bit more just because its a bit smoother feeling to me, but thats moving into personal preferance territory. Feature wise they are similar, I'm sure MS Office has a bit more oomph but overall they are pretty comparable. If you have the choice between dropping the $$$'s or going OO.O I'd say open office. If yuo can get a free copy of MS office why not use both lol.Plus, as mentioned, OO.O is the pwnage when it comes to linux open source stuff, plus OO 2.0 is looking pretty snazzy
