  1. I can't imagine using one...I mean I know some people who met online (through friends or randomly, not these services) that are dating for real now and really love each other. That having been said I don't think this method of meeting people online would work as well...since both parties would know what was at stake it'd be very tempting for lies to be fed to each other...If you use them and have had good experiences, great, just not my style...I'll stick to the bars lol
  2. I enjoy how people still refer to gaming as something that you should 'grow out of' even though it's overtaking the film industry money wise... seems kind of like a popular hobby to just be something kids do :)dual 6800's?!...just get one...and stop complaining I have a 9800pro and it runs pretty much everything I've tried to play fine...y'all are spoiled lol
  3. Hire a hot girl to walk around in a bikini with your addy written at strategic locations on her body.............no?
  4. If by shooter you mean any game you shoot...then CS, HL2, Call of Duty, UT2K4...too many to count
  5. From what I've heard/read the 512mb cards arn't worth the extra cash yet. They have a small performance boost but nowheres near the amount you'd expect for being hundreds more $'s then comparable cards. The highest end games are the only ones to show heavy improvement from what I've read and it's still not that much. Then there is also the fact that buying any hardware that is the newest of new is somewhat pointless at least from my POV, since as soon as a newer piece comes out the price drops by 50% or so on average. Paying way more for the extra ounces of power isn't usually worth it unless you have the cash to kill and understand what you are getting. Double the ram does NOT mean double the performance.
  6. I've played with some msn addon programs in the past and never really loved the additions they gave. Sure its some nice features but alot are limited in the sense that they are pointless unless the other person has them too...plus those pieces of software are often so adware/spyware ridden that once you clean your system they start going buggy (at least thats what happened to me with msnger plus!)Anyways yea...I get more then enough enjoyment out of msn without the addon programs, they are nice but too gimmicky for me, their specialty seems to wear off quickly for me. But thats just my opinion, if you like them and find version without spyware or you don't mind the spyware, go nuts and have fun with them.
  7. As far as I'm concerned 7.0 seems to be as good or better then 6.2I havn't noticed any flaws in particular that are detrimental to my im'ing experiences and at the same time most of the retardedly annoying flashy extras (winks...nudges....etc) are able to be disabled. The buddy images straight in your list could get annoying (especially if you are on a slow connection) but they are also able to be turned off so really theres no reason not to upgrade. It seems to be as stable as 6.2 was and it doesn't force anything new onto you without giving the option to disable it or ignore it.
  8. For this generation that is slowly comming to an end, I would have to say the PC really shone above the others. I mean sure the PS2 and xbox were both strong competetors with their own shining gems (need I say...Halo?) but I dont think either really exceled very much. The pc, however, really had some strong advancements and came out swinging with many great games, as well as (often improved) ports of many of the best games for the consoles (GTA3, KOTOR, etc)Personally I enjoyed all 3 of these but I got much more use out of my PC with D3 and HL2 and various other games, while I only played my consoles on a much less frequent basis.
  9. I've used zsnes for ages now, never really had any problems with it so I rarely checked for updates since a fairy long time ago, but I might check out the newest release just to see if there are any noticeable changes.Long Live CT
  10. I also played the first but not the second. I dont think I ever got all the way thru it but that was because I bought it very close to when I moved out and lost contact with my psx for awhile, now I have it but never really got back into the game. Maybe I'll have to play thru it again soon
  11. I've never loved any e-mail client I've used, but I have to use one at work so I usually stick to thunderbird instead of their standard outlook. Thunderbird -is- kinda slow to start, but since I open it and leave it open all day for the most part thats irrelevant to me so it is great for my use. Havn't really tried many others, mostly just stick to gmail lol
  12. Am I the only person who thought battlegrounds was boring and bland?...must be haha. Oh well, I mean it was a fun game to kill some time I just never really thought it was anything special. It was cool enough since it was in the SW universe but otherwise it seemed boring (IMHO)
  13. It looks ok so I might check it out sometime, although I doubt I'll prefer it over NFSU2...One question though, are the graphics really stylized like they are in the commercial? cause on that they look real but cartoony all at once, and i was just wondering if that was how they were in game or just the movies or something...not like it would matter just a curiosity
  14. I use both alot, I use PSP for quick little editings and stuff, and for more intense graphics I use photoshop. PSP has simpler controls for basic stuff but photoshop has an insane more amount of **** you can do once you get used to HOW to do it all. Takes more learning but has more power. Which is why I use both based on how much ocmplexity there is to the work I want to do.Also...PSP has been able to resize images since as far back as I remember, which is like PSP5 or so... just so ya know :)But yea, both have their strengths/weaknesses, I suggest trying both and using whichever you feel more comfortable with.
  15. tcave, it would bepend on your meaning behind those...but yea it's got a fair bit of nudity and alot of over the top blood and gore so if you don't like that it'd be a bad movie to see. That having been said I honestly feel EVERYONE should see this movie haha. It's truly like a comic book come alive and it blew my mind. The look alone would have warranted me paying to see it in theatres and I cant wait to get a nice bonus filled dvd release to watch
  16. yea Redemptionx... Episode was retarded and even hardcore SW fans will tell you that (well most will admit it) and many will even admit that episode was subpar, I mean personally myself and a bunch of people I know didn't hate the movie, it just wasn't up to star wars past standards. Now the original series (Ep4-6) were amazing movies, and I highly reccomend seeing those. No one whose a fan of sci-fi movies truly knows what the genre includes until the see the original trilogy. Also, from what I have haerd thus far Ep3 actually gets back to the roots some making it feel more like a space adventure type movie AS WELL as having insane action and whatnot, so I cant wait to see it. Going tuesday after work I believe, woooo
  17. I cant understand people like you haha. I couldn't imagine doing something to yell to people "GIRLS!!!! I'M TOO GEEKY! PLEASE NEVER SLEEP WITH ME!!!" but thats just me...ya know... hahaBut yea I want to see the movie, but as you can tell since this is after the opening by a couple days...I'm not rushing to see it opening night
  18. They compared the PS2 and Xbox even though they had way dif levels of hardware... I mean... there is always difs in power between the consoles. With every generation the gap will be larger too since the systems will be proportionatly more powerful. So yes, it is fair to compare then since...well...they always compare consoles no matter how dif the hardware, plus the xbox isn't THAT outclassed by the PS3, stat sheet wise the PS3 has it but I mean we have to wait until we see how to two hardwares handle running games before we can conclude if one hardware is way better. (I mean...have you SEEN gears of war? yea...the xbox360 will hold its own against the PS3 even if the PS3 DOES come out on top by a fair bit)
  19. The PS3 has been blowing my mind since I started looking at info on it this past week. I mean the X360 is insane too, but daaaaaaaamn the PS3 is looking tight. My only current possible point of contention is that their is controversy over whether or not the killzone footage is real or pre-rendered... I mean the other games look amazing too but that footage they released made me want to pee myself so I wouldn't be surprise if ney-sayers were correct...I hope not but we'll see. Also the FF7 tech demo made me get more excited then should be possible for a techdemo haha, seeing the opening sequence from FF7 in what can only be described as OMGWTF levels of details was amazing. (They NEEED to make that remake damnit!)Me and a friend actually noticed something that may truly be a selling point for us...the PS3 has 7 bluetooth controllers and 2 HDTV channels...so picture having one PS3...2 HDTV's...7 controllers...4 players on one tv & 3 on the other :| I mean sure, whatever sony does to compete with Xbox live will be nice, but having 7 people in a room battling it out would just be awesome, and not as convoluted as doing something like that would be now (2 tvs, 2 PS2's, 2 games, multiaps, avoiding wires of controllers, etc)Who knows, maybe I'm just over excited by all the E3 news of the past week, or maybe I'm right to be excited, either way I want a PS3...badly...
  20. I would also have to say dreamweaver, it was the first I used and after trying some others I always came back to it. I still like coding in plain text editors but I dont get alot of time to play with html lately so when I do make a page I often go for dreamweaver cause I can make a fancy site in a short time frame.
  21. Hello all. I'm Jeigh I found this place when I got the idea to find a new place to host a site I created a few months ago but then the host went under...so I kinda let it slide for awhile but now I've decided to find a new home for it and hopefully that will be here. I'm hoping the community is cool too since a new forum would be nice to have. After I'm done typing this I'll make sure and check the other sections of the forums and see whats goin down.Anyways in case anyone is interested I'm 19, currently just finished my 2nd year in a computer science degree at university...and if you randomly ever want to know anything else just ask away.J
