Im From Google - Googletalk Beta
Jeigh1405241495 replied to sparx's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I'll be trying this out tonight probably... I tried it here but dont feel like messing with the proxy server to get it running. Regardless I assume I'll be sticking with msn for the most part unless this is amazingly polished or revolutionary... but who knows. -
I know some people with them and they love them to bits...havn't had any problems at all. but then again thats only like 3 of however many systems so who knows. For the insane prices they tack onto their products it shouldn't be an option for their quality to be anything but primo :|

There are lots of FPS' nowadays that use melee as their primary weapon set, most in midevil settings. Personally offset looks intense to me so I'm excited about it :DOh and FPS does equal shooter, the archer shoots, thus its technically a shooter whether its MOSTLy shooting or not

If you havn't seen the First person view scenes trailor you MUST DO SO NOW... it feels so much like the game its unreal. I would go see the movie just for that one scene. Overall I expect and average movie. Nothing breathtaking but nothing too horrible. But yea that one first person scene will blow my mind on the big screen.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Come to talk about this game
Jeigh1405241495 replied to iGuest's topic in Computer Gaming
I know London is real, its like GTA 1978 - London or some such, although that date is probably wrong excluding the first two digits... it was just a GTA game set in the last a bit in London, same as the first couple games as far as graphics/controls (although you cant diss the graphics of the first two... they were fine when they came out. TONS of fun to play, the games were perfect examples of where gaming at the time should go)As far as GTA San Fran.. I assume its just an old code name for San Andreas, or one of the crapload of other names Rockstar has copyrighted "just in case" but I could be wrong -

Yea when I saw this on slashdot it was pretty impressive. I'd love to get to see a working model eventually so I can't wait until the tech becomes a little more developed and spread out amongst the public. It should be a cool thing to see indeed.... Wonder how long before someone makes a working R2D2 unit -

Please try to refrain from quoting me then "agreeing" with me only to explain how you agree with the opposing view to my own haha nah j/k. I might not have made it clear, but I dont agree with all of the "videogames make people bad" stuff. The point to my previous post was that out of hundreds of surveys only a few found ANY relation at all, and if you know anything about stistics there will always be anomalies so you can't take hundreds of test, find one that flows with your argument, and call it a proof. -

I LOVED the HL2 ending It was perfect, awesomely climactic and opening up for more HL goodness. I dont want a true conclusion because that'll mean the end of the series and I'm hoping for a HL3 someday -

Ms Antispyware Detects Messenger Plus As Spyware
Jeigh1405241495 replied to jedipi's topic in Software
So basically you think M$ should let their anti-spyware program NOT detect spyware that is what they deem "good"? I'd rather it just kill it all, thanks haha. I mean if they care that much just take the spyware out of their software... I will openly admit I may be biased somewhat because I do not use msgplus! but I did at some point, and frankly knowing it had spyware embedded was one of the reasons I rid myself of it (among other things) -

Why I Like Apple Less And Less.
Jeigh1405241495 replied to qwijibow's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Just for people who don't know... != == does not equals QEDBut yea, you've at least got to give them credit... they made an OS thats mostly just a modified version of free software, sell it for a good chunk of change, have been selling more and more overpriced mediocre hardware with it... and most people dont see a problem with it haha. -

http://forums.xisto.com/topic/949-topic/?findpost=49074 At the bottom a posted a quote and link to recent slashdotted info... apparently apple is going after some of those that cracked their fancy hardware locking systems... -
I agree with the overall idea of going to the doctors stat. I mean, I know it can be scary especially if you think it might be something serious, but its better to catch it now and get it over with... but I would also have to agree that it seems like it's way to fast to be cancer. Thats alot slower acting usually... but yea, hit up a doctor then let us know whats goin on man

Why I Like Apple Less And Less.
Jeigh1405241495 replied to qwijibow's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well officially there is logic behind it.. they cant to ensure compatibility with all apple hardware (peripherals and such) which they can do much more easily if they control the hardware. Also it's genius for them since they have proven they CAN sell expensive Apple hardware and get away with it, so people still will whether they think it's "right" or not. Especially since you can run windows on an Apple x86 machine, once people need to buy a new machine many will likely buy the mac ones so they have the choice to run either/both OS's. This isn't to say I agree with it, I personally plan to wait for someone to crack the protection then I'm gonna try to tri-boot windows/linux/osx on my current machine... but we'll see haha. Sorry about the double post but I joust found this on slashdot - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ english translation - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I didn't think they would actually start going after the people cracking OSX to run on other hardware... caught me by surprise...seems like something M$ would do haha -
Again I really dont see overpopulation as a result, people will still eat SOME regular meat, and we currently dont use hunting as a real means of population control. Excluding personal hunting (which I can never see ending because of this) food doesn't come from wild game that is caught, it comes from farms, which would simply stop breeding at the current rates once the demand fell.

Any Good 1st Person Simulator/vr Games Simulator Games
Jeigh1405241495 replied to Ocelot357's topic in Computer Gaming
Virtual Boy!...wh...what...dont look at me like that...but seriously I know there are some really fun arcade games (time crises 1/2, area 51 for old school, that sniper game there...) that give you actual objects to use (usually guns or vehicles) but there are some others too like DDR...As far as virtual reality type stuff is concerned I dont know much about if those are around for public use anywhere or not. -
Well assumedly the animals rights ppl wouldn't freak over this since it's not creating the whole creature, just the meat itself. Also a large portion of our food comes from animals solely grown to be used as food, so we would simply stop breeding food animals and then the naturally occuring versions of animals would exist as they do currently.jipman, the article isn't about meat substitutes but actual fake meat. Like using a cell of meat to create "cloned" meat so to speak that would be gentically identical to the normal meat we eat, it just wouldn't be from an actual living animal.
