  1. Sweet. Google for president
  2. If you have hosting, you can go to your cPanel and install a phpBB board automatically. It's at the bottom of the page. If not, you need a host with MySQL and php support and then the two big boards are invision power board and phpbb. I'm sure you could find a free version of each floating around the net somewhere
  3. OK. So, I made a splash, I sliced it up and exported it. So now I have an html file with a table in it. But, it's too big for browsers. What I was thinking is that I've designed the site at 1024x768 area resolution as most people have that resolution for their monitors. But, how would I make it fit all browsers the same without resizing their browser window?
  4. I thought .xml was for formatting, and was supposed to work with .html, the visual part of the webpage. So, the way I always understood it, .xml isn't actually presented directly. You will not end up at ninja.astahost.com/index.xml I'm not sure though.
  5. That's pretty old, but pretty funny (except the end of course, that's a bit wierd). I like the part where he screaches LOL.
  6. They probably just do this on the side. Notice they don't have ads. Therefore they probably put up money for this as a hobby sort of. Anyway, yeah, it's really really good for self-taught.
  7. Hey, I like it. I think it's a fairly good start, but how are you planning to fill up those areas under the navagation part?
  8. I have to say, I have an iPod and I like it. The only thing is the back panel got scratched and debuffed fairly easily, but I wasn't worried about that cause I knew it would happen eventually. I really do like mine, and the only problems I've ever had with it is it not connecting when I plug it in, and just recently the right speaker of my earbuds started intermittently not working. I've requested a repair and hopefully Apple will just send me a new pair But also, I don't know what it is about the iPod, but even though it's not the smallest one out there, it still has a mezmorizing look to it. I don't know, the designers did a hell of a nice job making it look sleek and streamlined. There are no edges ande even where the faceplate meets the back, it's seamless. Then there's the scroll whell. It's very simple and also somewhat flush or inset, right in line with rest of the iPod's sleek outter case. I think that the price is a bit high, compared to other players, but you have to think that you're getting the Apple name. That's basically it. And the only thing that I don't like is that they have that battery repair system. 1/3 of the cost of the iPod and you can get a new battery when yours loses it's charge... I don't like that. Oh well, I love mine Those iAudios looked pretty nice too however. Cheers
  9. Yes, very well done. I love it. I think that the bars in the background create a nice effect as they are similar to the keys on the piano itself. I love it
  10. I like the "First Time" one and I also took a few of my other favorites out of my temp files. I'll get the numbes later if I become "unlazy" by that time :(Otherwise, I think it's frickin' hilarious. "I'm a long pants man Strong Bad, I wear long pants, long pants, long pants, long pants!!" LOL
  11. I was reading another thread here where the term brute forcer was mentioned. Now, I've heard of them before, and I know what they are. And I'm interested in playing with one. I've always been interested in just trying one out, but I'm afraid that somehow the server will recognize it and trace my IP, and as you can imagine, it would go quickly downhill from there. So, my question is, what are some good brute forcers used today, what protection do they provide against IP tracking, and is there a sort of "playground" for such applications?*Note: If this topic is a bit... inappropriate for this community, I understand. I intend this interegation only as a learning experience.
  12. Sounds nice, but also it could be somewhat incriminating I think that searches are sort of saved anyway. If the page is cached, you should be able to go back to it. If you saved a search and then a site moves for some reason, it might show up there, but not if you perform a fresh search maybe. It's an interesting thought.
  13. Yes, such an indestructive way to rid the body of cancer cells sounds too good to be true though. We can only hope that it really is though
  14. I'm not an expert in this area, but I think you might check out Windows Server 2003 (I think that's the latest version...)
  15. I believe that it says that you will get a response either way, either confirming your approval, or saying that you didn't get approved.
  16. That's exactly what I want to do, but, call me blind, I don't know what to look for and haven't seen such tutorials If you could link me to the best one you know of maybe, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks a lot for everyone's help thus far
  17. Hate to double post, so merge this if you would like to deter people form double posting, but I checked up on shutmail yesterday and there was a message saying to e-mail this address if you want shutmail back: admin@shutmail.comCheers
  18. I agree, I like ImageReady, but I also like some features of Fireworks. In IR, for example, if you make a new frame and then change a layer, it changes throughout the whole animation, whereas in Fireworks, it changes only on that frame. Both have some good points and some not so great points in my book.
  19. There's a very popular 3d effect at the moment, in top banners and such, and I'm wondering how to do it. I'm looking at things like Shiver7.com and that sort of thing and wanting to do something like that for my site maybe. Anyone know any good tutorials to learn off of or can tell me themselves? I have 3DS Max 7
  20. You might want to check out how you embedded the flash object on the webpage.
  21. Interesting That's very nice. I wish I could do stuff like that in Flash.
  22. Looks like it, although they've been suspended for bandwidth or payments or something... I think I'll keep a watch on them though.
  23. Here's one. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ There's many more. I just Googled for "valid e-mail address script" Cheers
  24. For the invalid e-mail part, you should somehow make it look for "@" and "." I saw that while veiwing the source of a form once. I'm not sure how you would go about doing it though.
