  1. I agree that programs are better to use. More reliable and things of that sort. However, if you do want to use the net, I have a site that I've known of for a while that I used to use to get music for my website. I'm not all that sure of it is still running, seeing as how I haven't been using music on my site for quite a while now. The site was pretty reliable and had a lot of artists. Espew worked well for me when I needed it, hope it does well for you. Good luck, Tobias
  2. That's pretty neat. It does slow things down, but I prefer them to be smoother as opposed to quick and jerky. I too use a scroll wheel which makes things jerk. Thanks for the tip.
  3. I'm not exactly sure where I stand on this issue. In one hand, you've got technology that could cure sickness. Maybe even terminal illnesses like cancer. If that happens, people would live a longer and healthier life. It could benefit people greatly. On the other hand, you've got the ability to clone a full human being. This is the part that I would have an issue with. I think everyone on this earth is unique and it should remain that way. I don't think that there should be a clone of anyone, even if the child or person is killed at a young age and the parents want their child back. I'm not sure entirely how possible that would be, but from a movie I saw a while back (which I can't remember the name of), the parent's child is killed and they have him cloned. However, the doctor uses the parent's request to make an experiment of his own and the child that he clones has memories from who he used to be before he died and becomes dangerous. I'm not sure that's exactly how the movie went since I haven't seen it in such a long time, but the point I'm getting at is that I think children should remain unique, and if a child is cloned, what happens if something goes wrong?I think the breakthrough in science and medicine can bring great things, I hope it all goes well without much controversy over it.
  4. It's a cool forum and all, but I have never heard of "World of Warcraft," so I don't think I'll be joining. But what I did see that could use some improvement are your topic descriptions. Some of them are kind of lengthy. Other than that, cool forum.
  5. It looks good, but I don't think you need all that free space on the left. Like soleimanian said, try to brighten it up so it's more attractive and easier on the eyes. Make the text contrast more with the background so that it's easier to read. Other than that, well done.
  6. I'm going to have to agree with you now Chiiyo. When I made this thread, the skin was all the things I said it was in my post, now it just looks amazing. The colors look really nice, draws my eye. It looks futuristic.Nice job Xisto team!
  7. I much prefer they look they've gone with at this time. The look they used last night, like I've already said had some problems to me. The colors still work well together, and the scroll and load time have been fixed. I wasn't knocking Xisto for their work, I was just simply voicing my opinion before.
  8. Oh wow, I didn't even notice the shoutbox. It does look like something is wrong with the coding for the border. Hopefully that and the load and scroll time are fixed...
  9. What does everyone think of the new Xisto forum look? I personally think it has more negatives that it does positives. The new look is good, the organization of subforums is good, the scrolling time is bad, I think the order that the forum topics is bad also, and I think the placement of your current amount of hosting credits is bad. Positive: I do like the new look of the forum, it's got a crisp feeling to it; not mostly grays like the previous look. I like the way the colors compliment eachother. Positive: The organization and navigation of the subforums is much better than the previous forum. Since you're able to see the subforums from the main page of the forum it results in less clicking and quicker navigation, but like the loading time of the forum is slower. Negative: Like I said before, I don't like the new scrolling time of the forum or the time it takes to load. They're both slower than the previous forum. Now when I scroll down/up, it seems like the page lags behind the scroll bar and it blurs and things of that sort. Negative: I think the order of the forum topics isn't as good as the last forum. Introductions and Welcomes is toward the bottom of the forum, why would it not be at the top? If I was new here, I would expect the Introductions to be at the top so that it's quicker for a new member to introduce themselves. Negative: The placement of your current amount of hosting credits is bad. I liked how the last forum had them at the top of the page so that as soon as you got on, you saw how many you had or how many you needed to unsuspend your account. Now that they're at the bottom, you have to take time to scroll to the bottom of the page to look for them. I think overall Xisto's previous forum was better than this one. While the new color scheme is good, that's about the only new thing I'm seeing that is a positive for the new forum. Oh yeah, I wasn't able to locate the Arcade button... did they remove that? I hope not, I had fun playing the forum games.
  10. I didn't notice this earlier, but in reply to what ChronicLoser said: I agree that too many kids nowadays spend too much time playing video games, but there are plenty of kids that I know of that own an XBOX and a PlayStation 2 that run track with me, play soccer with me, and wrestle with me. Not everyone who owns a video game console is lazy and sits around and plays games all day. I do agree that too many people do it, but that's because they were never taught good health habits; or maybe they just never showed an interest in running/playing a sport. I would also have to agree that the shoes are a good thing for our society, but most people (like me) aren't able to afford them. Not knocking the company for the price of the shoes, I'm just saying that the shoes are very expensive for a 15 year old like me.
  11. Ummm... I've been to lots of game sites, but the problem is remembering them... I know Miniclip has a lot of good games... Newgrounds has some awesome games, but some things on that site are not for children under 18, Addicting Games has some pretty awesome games and addicting games, and of course the infamous Yahoo! has good games, but if you're looking for fun games and maybe a little recognition, try Xisto's arcade. Happy gaming!
  12. I'm going to have to go with iTunes even though I run Windows XP.I say iTunes, because it's very easy to organize your music once you've put it on to your computer. Maybe I prefer iTunes, because I have an iPod, but it's so simple to update your ipod using it. If you prefer (like me), you can go into options and set it to update your iPod automatically. Which means, all I have to do is plug my iPod into my computer and it will update it without me clicking a single thing. So, I guess I'm saying that I haven't had much experience with Winamp, but I have tried Windows Media Player (since I have Windows XP), but I find it much more convenient for me to use iTunes. I think with all of the people getting iPods now, iTunes will become extremely popular, even for Windows users.
  13. There are plenty of places on the net to get FREE premade templates. For one, I know Zymic offers some nice templates for free. There are plenty others, just search google for templates, and you're off. I would suggest you try to learn HTML, or anything else incorporated in your template so you can truly know how it works and you would be able to do so much more with your site. Also, when you're able to make a nice site on your own, I would do so. Who wants a template from a site that anyone on the internet could have? Anyways, good luck.
  14. Wow, I hadn't heard about that. It would be amazing if they were able to find Atlantis. There would be so many unanswered questions... answered! It would be like finding an extinct animal alive. I hope they do find something, that's really interesting.
  15. They sound awesome. I would like to have one myself, but like ElFoReal said, I'm also not going to be able to afford one any time soon. Maybe when the price comes down a little. But anyways, they do sound amazing.
  16. I'd have to agree with tcave. I also believe in the bible and I've never heard of anything in the bible supporting evidence of aliens. I think you're right about the UFO's too. The government may be doing that to bring some media into the matter. I think it would be cool if there really were aliens though.
  17. I prefer action over most anything. Sports are fun also. Action just really draws me to the game and that's the kind of thing that keeps me playing for hours.
  18. That's amazing that they're able to do that. I think it could stop some of the lawsuits happening for some foods making people sick.
  19. I think that it sounds remarkable to hear that. Just to hear how far technology and medicine has come in the last decade or so. I pray that the treatment works. If people get their hopes up, and it turns out that it doesn't work then people would be disappointed. Hopefully we are only a decade or so from a cure, that would be truly amazing. And the obesity matter, people should workout. Even if they have to start out walking, just do what you are capable of and work your way up. I guarantee that if people would stop eating unhealthy foods and begin a workout routine, they would feel a world of difference. They would sleep better at night, they would have more energy, and they would just be happier.
  20. I won't be converting to a Mac. I find them more difficult to use than my PC. Maybe that's because I'm used to my PC. I don't like the mouses, in order to right-click, you've got to push CTRL + click. I just dont find it as user-friendly. But overall, I think the Mac Mini is a great idea and it will sell well.
  21. I have a question. If the neutron bomb emits radiation, then why make a bomb that leaves buildings standing? If it emits so much radiation, wouldn't it contaminate the environment around it? Like Bikini Atoll and the U.S. bomb tests. People still are unable to live there because of radiation left from the bombs. Would it do the same to where ever the bomb is dropped? Not trying to be cruel or anything, but in all seriousness, if there is a WWIII then there would be no reason to leave anything standing, nobody would be left to see it.
  22. I must have missed it too. I was unaware that there was going to be an eclipse. The only eclipse I've seen is a lunar eclipse a few years ago, it was neat to watch the moon change over time. It was amazing.
  23. WOW! That sounds insane. Getting hit with a water balloon can hurt, can't imagine what a 300 ft. wave traveling at 155 mph would feel like (hopefully wouldn't feel it at all). In your research of this, did you find an estimate of when this could happen? If Pittsburgh would be destroyed, it would be close to making it to me (Ohio). That would be a crazy distance for a wave to travel inland before being stopped. The way I'm visualizing it, the wave would be something like the one on a movie I saw, I just can't remember it's name. It's the movie where a huge meteor is planned to hit the Earth, so they send out a team of astronauts to land on the meteor's surface and plant explosives in it to destroy it. They plant some explosives, but they only blow it into two meteors instead of one, causing more havoc! In the end, the astronauts decide to risk their own lives to destroy the meteor and save the world, but there was a huge wave that went a tremendous amount inland after part of the meteor hit the ocean. Anyone remember the name of that movie? Back to the megatsunami. Would the volcanoes erupt sometime in the next decade, century, millenium? I'm hoping it never happens at all, because it take the lives of so many people. Like you also said, our economy would be in shambles from that. New York, Boston, probably all of the east coast cities would be destroyed. I can't imagine the magnitude of something that could cause that, hopefully I never get the chance to see it either.
  24. You could try the tutorial section here. If you can't find what you're looking for, run a GOOGLE search and find what you want.
  25. It's looking good. Did you make the template yourself or get it off the net? If you made it yourself, then great job. One problem I saw was that your buttons only work when you hover over the text. That can be a pain sometimes. I think the header looks really nice. Great job, keep up the good work.
