  1. For me, I was forced to scrap all the "features" including Aero, sidebar, tablet, and other useless features. Now it runs smoother.xboxrulz
  2. I'm an agnostic myself (I was an atheist). I chose this position myself (as I'm a Liberal myself, which means I believe everyone should make their own decisions without limitations from the past.). After meeting several Christians (they are the most radical ones, no offence intended), and several arguments later, I figured out that there might or might not be a God, but I don't really give a crap about religious debates anymore. To me, their religion makes no sense, and I don't want to be part of something I don't find appealing at all. I've read parts of the Bible and to me, it makes no sense when I link it with the physical world, namely science. The book "Inherit the Wind" reinforces my stance when Drummond was asked about how old the rock was, the time of "creation" and "days of creation". It kind of flags down the whole debate.Religion does serve one great purpose: a sense of community. I think this is the best advantage that religion has. This is in my honest opinion and is not meant to be a flamebait. I type this under the guidance of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom, paragraph 2.xboxrulz
  3. I've never fried a single power supply before. (Unless I accidentally did it myself, which I have before when I unplugged it from the motherboard while the system was on and I didn't even realize it; but it was on an older machine, so it didn't really matter .) Even during storms when the power is fluctuating my system is still on until it really runs out of power (when the voltage meter dips to 0.)xboxrulz
  4. It could be what pyost said, it could simply be a DNS thing.xboxrulz
  5. If it's RAM that's insufficient, then you should add more.I've never filled up my RAM on Windows before, but on Linux, it starts killing the program that uses the most memory until there's enough memory from completely crashing the system.xboxrulz
  6. It's ok. Ya, I really need an upgrade , but the good thing is that it only lags for gaming ... well at least in my case.xboxrulz
  7. The minimum requirements is 512MB as shown here However, the recommended amount is 1GB. I only have 1 GB and it does lag. I'm going to try opting for 2 GB when I get my computer overhaul. xboxrulz
  8. that is odd, I think we should wait to see if other people can see it with http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, it could be something about your ISP.xboxrulz
  9. The more RAM the merrier.Your system will utilize a lot of RAM, so it'll be best to get as much RAM as you can afford.xboxrulz
  10. Not quite true. I'm running Windows Vista with 1 GB, but the OS RAM requirements is really 512MB. xboxrulz
  11. That's really odd. I'll check it again for you. .... it works, I even cleared my cache xboxrulz
  12. User Account Control (UAC) can be deactivated by doing the following steps.First, go to the Control Panel, then press User Accounts, then press Turn on/off User Account Control. In their UAC can be turned off. You will need to reboot to turn off UAC.I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND turning it off and Windows will annoy you about it.xboxrulz
  13. ummm... I just checked your website, it works with and without the http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ that your browser's settings are correct.xboxrulz
  14. Although I love free domains, 280 credits is a lil' too much IMO. Then again, it's free.I only have 20 something credits, even though I post everyday.xboxrulz
  15. It is highly recommended for you to get more RAM and upgrade to Windows XP the very least as Windows 2000 is NO longer supported. It could be a faulty memory module installed into your computer. I know this from experience when I purchased 1 GB of RAM and it completely stalled my computer when doing menial tasks such as web browsing. Please also check that you don't have a faulty hard drive. Sometimes a faulty hard drive will cause your system to completely lock up and potentially could even issue you a BSoD.xboxrulz
  16. TOPIC LOCKED DUE TO TOS VIOLATION. PLEASE REFER TO THE FORUM RULES FOR FURTHER DETAILS.xboxrulz
  17. My math teacher tried it early on this year, and it completely failed miserably. The bottle exploded instead.xboxrulz

  19. I think that's what he means too.UPDATE: I just checked my brother's power supply and his PSU only supplies 250W of power. His computer is a HP Pavillion a810n. He also has an ATI Radeon X1600 w/ 256MB AGP installed. His CPU is an AMD Athlon 64 3300+. Which is quite odd since I thought you need a lot of power for such components :s.xboxrulz
  20. Sorry to all members who are experiencing this issue, I will forward this to the admins so they can take a look into it. I am too getting this error: xboxrulz
  21. That wesbite shown by the TC causes my LCD monitor to show really bad refresh rates (you can actually see my monitor trying to catch up to the ever changing background).I've heard that MySpace is actually the worst designed website (not webpage) ever, in terms of security, standards and design.xboxrulz
  22. What program are you using to login to your FTP account? Windows Explorer (via Windows), Konqueror (KDE/UNIX), Finder (Mac) or a 3rd party application?xboxrulz
  23. My 300W PSU isn't from big brand names. Mine's from Excellent XPower. My GeForce card is just called NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (which I think is the lower end version of the 6600.)Plus, what do you mean by "dirty power"?xboxrulz
  24. That really sucks to have a birthday of a disastrous event. Then again, my birthday is on Pearl Harbour Day :s.xboxrulz
