what language do u use? in creating games?
ChronicLoser replied to r3d1405241470's topic in Programming
I use java. Actually, that's all I know. I've considered learning some of the other languages but backed out before I started. Too lazy to learn anythin else =P -
lol, I might stop by to check out the site...too lazy to make one myself these days with cross-country, basketball, and school getting in my way

I have no idea where I should be posting this topic...question. But hopefully this would be an okay place to do it...I was wondering...how unique visitors are counted. Daily unique hits are from seperate ip addresses. So say we have a hundred unique hits in one day. The next day, you can have those same hundred people come and it will be considered unique right? Thus, there would another hundred unique hits. Alright, assuming this to be true, how is a monthly statistic of uniqe hits counted? Are all the hits from different IP addresses? Or is it from adding all of the daily unique hits?...hope that made sense Notice from m^e: Topic modified to reflect nature of content better.

i've also used Dreamweaver before...but dispite it all, I find notepad to be faster to preview as well. Simple rename the file to a .htm and you can preview it in your browser. Sometimes the preview in frontpage and/or dreamweaver does not come out the same as when you actually upload the page. ...or at least that's how it seemed for me =P

ChronicLoser replied to mttviper1405241472's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation

Photoshop Tutorial for advanced people
ChronicLoser replied to mttviper1405241472's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
hmm...it's nice and simple. But most of it depends on the brushing and the render. All you've done here is place a picture on a brushed background lol. Well, the final picture looks nice. Good job on it -
personally, I use AceFTP because...well, it's freeware and I don't have to worry about a trial or anything along those lines. It's effective at what it does, so I have no reason to complain

i use to use that program too...and i liked it very much. But for more technical stuff I suggest imageready because it could do more advanced stuff gif animator couldn't...

uh...welcome back of course I don't really know you...but bleh. A "welcome back" is a "welcome back" right?heh -
lol, these viruses and such really annoy me. Like mentioned before...it's a real wonder to me why people would bother making things like this
-
i'm personally a fan of IPB, but sometimes making skins for them get very annoying. Wouldn't believe how long it took me just to make this simple skin: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ but invision all the way
-
hmm, well I personally learned html/java/php/etc through free online templates you get from geocities, freewebs, etc. Then I continued with actual websites to get the finer points mastered. I'm not really into coding as i am designing though =P
-
er....it'd be nice to see the final picture of some of these tutorials but i guess it's a rather simple texture so i doesn't require one...well, anyways...good job on these
-
well, if you were the one to blend it...i'd have to give you some credit for that. But it looks a bit dark and personally i think the size is a bit too large. It's also kind of plain...but i guess it looks decent. Good job on it

NBA 2004-05 Season Whos gonna win the championship?
ChronicLoser replied to prolifik's topic in General Discussion
a lot of people don't realize it, but Utah has a good chance to making it this year. They didn't become very powerful with stars like the lakers last year, but they are a very solid team. Besides them, San Antonio has a decent chance. Miami is somewhat decent as well with their two big stars... -
lol, I don't watch sports. But I do play basketball, run track, and cross-country for my school. Running may not seem fun, but it's actually rather exciting (for the runner =P)

eh...I'm with k22. I discourage putting sounds on a website unless you specifically have a hyperlink to the file (in which case you are showcasing this sound file). It really slows some computers down and people don't generally enjoy it too much

lol, you wouldn't believe how many times I've seen this kind of topic on forums such as this one. Well, generally, I use a mix of Photoshop and Cinema 4D. Recently i've been really into abstract art with cinema

Photoshop VS Fireworks For web design...
ChronicLoser replied to Reiji Kurosaky's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
i'm big on photoshop when it comes down to web designing. Every website I've made is done through photoshop and/or imageready. So...naturally I voted for photoshop =P -
4 Backgrounds They are nice so I want to share~^^
ChronicLoser replied to sakiaqua's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
looks nice. Can't see the second nor the last one...so I'llk just comment about the first. I like the colorings a bunch...and it's very soothing to look at. And...you made this? How'd you do it? It looks like it was brushed, but i can't tell for sure =Pit's a nice background
