on my laptop... currently running windows but can boot into xubuntu (dual OS)

found an old backup file of itune, which has alot of image files (over 300 jpeg) and a few videos (20+ mov) but they are all named without extensions... is there a way of adding extensions to these files at once in Windows XP?cheers for any advice/suggestion

i think this new look is fantastic with this IPBoard upgrade but i'm wondering if it's possible to bring back the recent or latest posts section that usually sits on top of the forum... would be nice to just pop in to the site and see the latest posts, usually they're are the ones that most users would be most interested in getting straight into also - what's happening to my mycents? after more than ten posts there's still no change

unless you're up for the challenge and have the time to upgrade other parts... i have upgraded my laptop CPU... luckly is was possible and probably much easier on my laptop compared to others

thanks yodan... i'm more interested in a gallery plugin so would fit in easily with the wordpress theme, or takes little customization to blend into the theme used to make a gallery page would probably require a bit more work...

i'm setting up a simple blog site and would like any suggestions on how to accomplish this - detail belowi would like the site to have at least 4 pages for a startpage 1 - home page:- will contain latest posts (maybe 10 but with images if necessary)- also will contain information about the site which will sit on top of page permanentlypage 2 - tech blogs:- contain all computer related blogspage 3 - personal (non-tech) blogs- contains all other postspage 4 - photo album:- this will be a photo only post page, uploaded photos with descriptions will fall here- each photo will be in small size mode and clickable to view full size with comment options availablesite is already up and running default twenty eleven theme but i would probably need extra things. my current understanding of what i need:a photo gallery plugin for photo page???a plugin to sort posts into pages???any recommendation or suggestions?regards

if gaming forum don't seem that worth having, why not narrow it down and remove sub-forums (or merge) to one Forum?

i agree... i've done a bit of research just to see some of the wordpress themes done and advertised by a lot of designers for the platform and as mentioned above, they seem to be very similar from a designers perspective they all seem to sit with the same layout framework... i think most of these designers don't actually make much out of selling their themes so they create simple ones (very quick) ... i guess if one really put out a decent amount for a theme, i'm sure some of those designers can actually come up with something spectacular and unique check this coolest wordpress themes for 2011 http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ they do look similar

thanks... was looking for a decent simple download manager because every now and then i'll be download an image file (especially OS files - Linux) and i don't like to use torrent clients because it freezes my modem on load...

what's this site? i notice that my mycents seem to either halt or tremendously slowed down on accumulating... would this have anything to do with the latest changes and upgrades? or am i hitting that post-count mark where there's been posts about issues with mycents collection slowing down?

I'm working on customizing the default twenty eleven 1.2 theme for Wordpress 3.2.1. I already have header images uploaded while on default Twenty Eleven, so added my blank child theme and under headers option i can't seem to locate a way of installing or activating header images which are already on media library...is there a way to do this or do i need to re-upload files? or should i need to create my own images folders for my child theme directory or something?anyone help please

one thing i find quite cool with Safari is it's speed dial page (empty page)... it's kinda like a 3D view of all speed dial (quick link) pages... like opera and chrome but curved in view

i download image files every now and then, usually large files 700MB+... now i want to download LinuxMint Debian (~1GB) and i know the best way is to download the torrent but my Modem usually freezes when torrent load gets heavy... so i usually download my images just via web browser (http)... a few times i had to download images twice or so as errors sometimes creep in to ruin the long process of downloading such large files.. so i'm wondering if i can get pointers on an easy to use download manager cheers

now a days Laptop has become a norm to have... desktop computers are still the power house for more powerful and more customizable setups but quickly Laptops are getting closing up the gap between the two, with prices per performance value for much space saving and much more portable Laptop increasing its popularity and preference to many users...desktops will still be around for quite sometime, for me i can't really choose between the two unless other circumstances are implied, and I'm sure this applies to everyone...portability and space - Laptopperformance, price and customization - Desktopso really comes down to preference

I've just noticed this morning that the Forum site layout has been changed - new look and feel of blue... looks much more professional but takes a bit of getting use to i guessi notice that clicking on the Forum link (between 'Xisto: Open Discussion & Free Web Hosting' and 'Members') sends me to Xisto.com home page, i was expecting a quick fly to the forums' home page...great work though guys

is there a simple way of writing text in vertical on Gimp?i can rotate text to vertical orientation but i'm after text sitting like this:VERTICAL typing it with return carriage doesn't look nice for mei know photoshop has Text Vertical orientation option... does gimp have this option as well? cheers
