Prodigy, What he is referring to is not for proxy to mask his IP, but to use anonymous surfing sites so that he can access Xisto.com from his school PC. That is what I gather from his request. Popular anonymizers: https://www.anonymizer.com/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://www.thefreecountry.com/ Using these, you can access sites even when they have been blocked by your ISP/Network administrator. But by using proxies in your PC, you can access sites that have banned your actual IP. Like someone banned from Xisto.com can still access through proxies. There is however, some overlap in their functions. Correct me if I am wrong.

SMS (Simple Messaging Service) and Text Messaging are same. But with the rates that Becca is quoting, she must be mentioning MMS and Text Messaging. MMS is Multimedia Messaging Service. It is relatively expensive, but you send pictures and audio clips to another MMS compatible phone. I think Becca is in England. 88x31 pixels is a button, not banner FYI.I use photoshop for doing that and it is really easy and sophisticated. But Paintshop Pro is also supposed to be good.If you are looking for a free proggy, try GIMP. Search on googlue about GIMP and you will get it.Good luck.

Yes, I started using Google Desktop sometime back, but after I read things like this elsewhere, I uninstalled it. Who wants to take risks? But we are taking that with GMAil Similar things are told about GMail too... One good alternative is Copernic Desktop Search. You can disable it from connecting to the internet by using a simple firewall program like ZoneAlarm Free. That is what I am doing now. And I am happy with it. I can even say that it is better than Google Desktop as you can even se previews of the pages without actually opening them. That's a great feature of Copernic. And it is free too.
