i really dont think it has anything to do with my ftp software because i have only used it the once and since then i have managed to access my site and cpanel a few times , but like now i cannot.also if it was ftp software why would my friend not be able to access my site ?has dogeater008 upgraded from package 1 to package 2 as i have.if so did his problems start then.when i do manage to access cpanel my stats still look as though im still on package 1.

I am using flashfxp , but when in the rare instance that i can connect to cpanel then i have used that as well.I dont know if its got anything to do with it , but the other person saying that they have similar access problems who has posted on this topic joined Xisto at exactly the same time as me. dogeater008 is member no. 12656 and i am 12657 .... any thoughts ?

yep thats all you can do is sit tight and let it finish...... it it will.i had a torrent that was at about 80% and all the other peers were the same and no seeds , but for some reason the torrent just kept slowly creeping up until it finished.i never noticed a seed rejoining , but i suppose they could have periodically joined and cut again without me noticing.with regard to the previous post about hbo sending out spoiler data for torrents , i can well imagine them doing that , its is similar to kazaa and other p2p providers were corrupt mp3 files were being put onto the system.i would have though with azureus that it would automatically block any ip addresses sending out bad data.you can see which ip have been blocked / banned by clicking on ips on the status bar in azureus.

When i try to access my website or cpanel i get the error website could not be found.When i am trying the above i do not have any ftp software running , just mozilla.I tried to ping http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and i go no response.I checked my wireless router in case it was blocking the website .... all ok.I asked a friend to access my website ..... he got the same error.I presume that it is not an isp error as i am on adsl and he is on cable.I have just tried to access my websire again ... only minutes after being unable to access it for hours , without making any changes at my end ..... and now i can access it again ?????I dont know if it is a timing error due to Xisto server load , but to me the problem seems to be somewhere at Xisto.Hope some of the above will help point me in the right direction.

back to the same problem again .... cant access website or cpanel.tried clearing browser cache ..... still no access.tried clearing all browser history , cookies , cache , etc .... still no access.unfortunately i never made a note of my site ip address , so i cant ping it.any thoughts ?just tried to connect to ftp address .... connects no problem.uploaded about 1.5m data .... again no problem.tried to access website and cpanel again unable to connect ???i am using mozilla web browser ... tried using IE6 ... still no access ? i dont believe in reincarnation , but if there was such a thing then i would like to come back as a cat.we have a cat and it has a great life ..... just to to meow and it gets fed ..... sleeps in all the comfy places .... sunbathes outside when its nice and warm ... comes for a stroke and cuddle when it feels like it.it just seems to get everything it wants when it feels like it .... what a life !

when you download a torrent , you need to make sure that 100% of the file is available .. ie the file has seeds.there will be times that a file is not being seeded , but the peers connected to the download collectively have more than 100% of the file.when you start a download , look at download status bar , at the right hand side of this it shows the file availability .... that number needs to be greater than 1.you could start downloading a file that has more than 100% availability , but if seeds and peers drop off as you download , then you can have the same problem then.

I have recently been approved a free web hosting package upgrade from package 1 to package 2.How long does it normally take before i will see a difference on cpanel for storage / bandwidth values.

I havent heard of this either.Try selecting all the text and then setting it to a basic font / style.Now save the document......this might clear any document formatting errors.Now try hightlighting the bit you want and change the font.

If you didnt want to spend money buying vb6 just incase you didnt like it that much , you could try another option.In excel ... i am presuming that you have excel , you can add in visual basic code.To enable visual basic in excel .... view/toolbars and tick visual basic.You now get the visual basic toolbox.Open up the control toolbox .... select control button.Now use mouse and left button down to define the size of a button on the worksheet.Double click on the command button and it takes you into the visual basic editor.From there you can then type your visual basic code that is associated with that button.For example type in the word beep between the 2 lines private sub and end sub.Now go back to your spreadsheet and click on the triangle/ruler icon in the visual basic toolbox ..... this will exit the visual basic design mode.Now if you click on the button you will hear a beep.The code is called VBA , its not visual basic 6 .... but its near enough and a good place to start.

If you goto your local pc stop they normally sell the cd sticky labels for printing on. Each label manufaturer put the cd label in different places on the sheet , so the store should also sell the printing software required for the labels that you buy. There is a problem with labelling your discs though ... if you dont get them centred correctly when sticking them on you can get read errors as it throws the disc out of balance. You can buy a labelling tool that should help with this. The latest way is to put your disc into a printer and directly print onto the surface of the disc. You need special printable discs and a printer that can print direct to disc ... i dont think your lexus has that capabilty. By the way .... i dont know what you pay for your replacement ink cartridges for the lexus , but i own an epson c62 printer and for epsons you can buy compatable ink cartridges for a fraction of the cost .... 1 black + 1 colour cartridge all for Ł1.95 .... see link. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ So you could buy yourself a new epson printer capable of printing direct to disc with the money saved by buying compatable ink cartriges.

I have received a few ebay spoof emails recently .... i forwarded them to ebay.One way to check if they are spoof emails is to follow the link they suggest to where they want you to enter you personal details .... at this point look in the bottom right hand corner of your browser for a padlock icon .... if there isnt one then you are not on a secure site.With to regard to ebay spoof emails .... they would never contact you by email for your details , they would send you a message to your ebay inbox if they had a problem with your account details.

I have just started using dreamweaver 8 .... it looks like a very good program.I am a novice at creating a website and i like the way it has samples for html and css.I like how i can open a split window that shows the page design and highlights the code for whatever area of the page i click on.I think that as i get more into webpage design then dreamweaver 8 will become a very useful tool.

When you boot with your duff hdd as a slave , what do you see on your slave hdd when you browse with explorer.Can you see the folders or is it all corrupted.Is it that you are being blocked from these folders by windows permissions errors ?If it is totally corrupted then you can try data recovery programs. Just google data recovery .... some offer limited trial versions for you to check it out.

I have a dual boot laptop with xp and linux.I use suse 9.3 .... its a very good gui operating system and its free.It found all my hardware on the laptop except it doesnt seem to like my wireless network card.So i am using xp to surf the net to try and resolve the issue.At present i just boot into linux to have a mess around with it ... see what i can teach myself.

I used to use hotmail , but i had problems with that it was removing links from emails.I would register for a forum and they would send me a registration email. I then open that email and the link to register is missing.I have now switched to gmail and all is well.

I think you should have expanded a bit on installing the cpu and ram. This can be a tricky area for a novice.Also a little info on power supply ratings wouldnt go amiss.I presume the motherboard has onboard graphics as you didnt mention installing a graphics card.
