  1. This smells like spam to me but I guess I'll join in...Chicken or brave?
  2. And I suppose this comment will be the third one. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DELIVI!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Ok you need to remember all of the software that the new iPhone comes with you can put on your old iPhone with the 2.0 update. The only features you will gain are the hardware features, which would be the 3G speeds, and GPS, and the new case. After you do the 2.0 update on your old iPhone you will get full access to the appstore and push.
  4. Actually funny story about this quake. I just purchased the season 2 of Eureka on DVD to re-watch to remember the storyline for season 3, and the earthquake happened during a scene where there was some kind of sonic boom or something, and for a good 5 to 10 seconds I thought it was my subwoofer rattling the house, and then I realized that it was a bit too much for my sub to be causing... Fortunately I was far enough away from the epicenter to not really cause any damage, the aftermath was a bit more scary though... Another earthquake means possibly more trouble down the line. The lack of earthquakes have lulled us into a false security. Great... better start tying down the furniture.
  5. Did you even bother reading any more of her post than the title? The post is asking for help, not giving you any kind of information that you could "love". Anyway, I would personally recommend sticking with google and stop violating their TOS. Whatever you did to cause your account to be deleted they obviously didn't like it.
  6. Your deck theory is flawed. If both of us truly are exactly the same that means both of us brought a deck shuffled in the exact same way, we would both think to use the deck to decide who talks first, we would both reshuffle the deck in the exact same way and pick the exact same card. All luck and chance doesn't become luck and chance if both universes were exactly the same, and if you think about it, if somehow the "mirror" were broken there, then they truly wouldn't be our parallel anymore. They would just be one of the infinite many that followed our timeline almost exact up to a point and diverged from there.
  7. Okara KAmi completely understands everything I was trying to bring across in my post. Now I do understand that there isn't much us feeble minded humans can do but I'm just trying to bring up the fact that people rely on this "memory" so much, it defines everything about them. What kind of person they are and what they will do next, and if there is nothing but our memory to prove, or back up our memory, we really shouldn't rely on it as much as we do should we? But then again, you must remember it is all we have, so we have no choice. It is all a very odd thing to think about, and I wasn't really expecting any answers. This thread is functioning exactly how I wanted it to, to make people start thinking.

    I'm Back!

Welcome back to Xisto! Xisto isn't great because of the amazing hosting it offers (although thats pretty good too), it is so great because of the community here. You will always find people eager to help you and be kind to you. Since you're a refurbished old member I probably don't need to bother explaining the rules to you. Enjoy your stay.
  9. Ahh another programmer! :)You seem to have caught onto the way things work around here since you've already got approved my your second day. For some reason it takes some members weeks to figure that stuff out. Anyway I hope you enjoy your stay here. You'll fit right in with the community.By the way where is Bremen? *looks on google maps* Oohh, germany. I should probably have known that since both of my parents were born and raised in germany.
  10. Hmmm... I'm starting to notice a pattern here of gift sigs from SM. Perhaps the secret to getting a good gif sig is to change your Xisto profile gender to female and find a picture of a really cute girl and put it in your profile pic...
  11. Well I may have made this WAY too easy, but it is difficult coming up with hard Xisto related questions. Oh well. So now let's let the tallying begin. Csp4.0 was the first to get the answers in. He PM'ed me at 11:03pm (GMT -8) yesterday, so let's take a look at his answers: He got them all right except 7 and 9. So that's 12 correct answers totaling to 24 free credits for csp4.0. Next person to submit was bittr! Both of his answers were previously answered by csp4.0, however he was only 12 mins behind, and csp didn't post his answers on the forum like I said in the directions so I will give bittr 4 free bonus credits courtesy of me. So 4 free credits to bittr. Saint Michael was next to answer. All of his answers were correct EXCEPT 24 across. My old username actually only had 1 M in it. Good job rvalkass remembering ancient history... and good job remembering my old trap name as well Anyway Saint Michael correctly answered 16 answers that were not previously answered. 32 free credits for Saint Michael. Rvalkass was the only one to correctly answer number 24 and for that he is awarded 2 credits. So 2 free credits to rvalkass. Congratulations to all of the winners!
  12. As Jlhaslip pointed out in the shoutbox, Xisto has reached 400,000 posts! AND THIS IS IT! THE 400,000th post! I was actually looking for a reason to start up another giveaway and now I have one! There are 60 credits up for grab! Now those 60 aren't going to all be given away to one person. Below I have a crossword puzzle with 30 Xisto related questions. So here is the challenge: find as many words as you can. For every word you find you will be given 2 credits. Make sure to list your answers in quote tags and add a paragraph or two on what the words mean to you or something so its not spam. ALSO. I want no cheating here. I will do the best i can to keep track if somebody edited their post and listed words someone else put in, but I hope that you members are honest enough to not even try that. Alright? So is everyone clear on the rules? Well then lets begin! And Finaly... 18 across: Did you enjoy doing this puzzle? EDIT: nooooo i missed the 400,000th post by 4! oh well the giveaway is still going
  13. Is it lets make up facts day already? Whatever you were trying to say here, it's wrong. If you really believe this how do you explain all of the 3rd party web browsers that work for these two systems? were you trying to spell sue here?
  14. Sorry about posting again, however I really would like to see something done to improve this. I understand that you are very busy Opa, however if you need me to help in any way I'm always here and available.
  15. Actually thats just part of the 2.0 software update that it comes with. All older iphones can download this software update for free so they are able to download the apps. The only changes that you should buy the new iphone for are the hardware improvements: Louder speaker, sleeker design, flush headphone jack, GPS, and 3G. And that's about it. If you are a current iPhone user and can live without these features just upgrade your software and you'll be able to download and play apps, push information with mobile me, Microsoft exchange. You will be able to run all the apps on the old phone except the ones that require GPS or 3G.
  16. A very good answer by Mich, however if Mich doesn't mind I'd like to elaborate on her post. As Mich said the credits you get for each post is calculated based on the content of that post, or in other words how long it is. It is automatically calculated by the website and added to your total credits after you post. Some may think they are little geniuses and copy and paste content into their posts, and I'm sure you'll be smarter than that because that will most likely send you straight to the Xisto prison of the banned. If you post any content that was not written by you, you must put it in quote tags. Content in quote tags do not add any credits to that post. The last thing I wanted to let you know about is forums that have no post count. Many forums and sub-forums have (NO POST COUNT) in red, or bold, or just capital letters next to them. Although your replies are appreciated, you will receive no credits and your post count will not go up if you post in these sections. If you want your voice to be heard in one of the topics in these forums, then thats great, you can post there all you want. But I'd suggest that you don't spend half an hour concocting a post that you think you will get tons of credits and then find out that it was in one of the no post count forums and wasn't worth anything.
  17. I'm sorry, but $25 just isn't enough for the trouble of posting 15 posts. If I was guaranteed it would be a different story and would be totally worth it, but not for one lousy ticket in the raffle. If you bump that prize up to, say $100, I might start listening.
  18. I'm assuming the page doesn't time out when you comment out the while loop? Since you mentioned this script works on other hosts and not this one I'm assuming it may be an issue with the servers attempting to block data over the ud protocol. I may be mistaken, however that seems to be the only issue I can find. The code should run fine, as long as the server has PHP 4 or higher installed.@etycto: None of those solutions would cause the page to timeout, however the point about echoing information outside of the body tag might be a good idea if he wants to keep his page at least partly up to par with today's web standards.
  19. Alright so I'm on a roll with this whole movie reviewing, so while I'm up and thinking of the movies I saw this weekend I figured I'd review WALL-E as well.WALL-E was amazing... It was definitely the best Pixar movie I have ever seen (yes even better than Toy Story). I'd have to say its the best movie I've seen since 2005. Not only did the shots on. earth look amazingly realistic, but the storyline was intriguing and kept me interested throughout the entire film. It was also hilarious. Perhaps it was the fact that I went to see the movie with some of my coworkers, but we were practically laughing throughout the entire movie. For a movie with so little dialogue it said so much. It was just amazing to watch the detail that went into this film. I really don't want to spoil anything in this movie so thats pretty much all I want to say about it in fear of accidentally spoiling something. I recommend this movie to all Pixar lovers.
  20. I don't review movies often, however I noticed that there was no review for Hancock yet, so here I go... Hancock part one (1 hr. long, written by Vincent Ngo) was an amazing comedy. Perhaps it just seemed amazing because my expectations were so low from people saying this movie was going to be terrible, but I really enjoyed it and was glad I went to see it. Hancock part two (1/2 hr. written by Vince Gilligan) was an alright action/thriller. Enough said... Alright. so I'm just kidding about the writers, I really have no idea if Vincent Ngo wrote the first hour and Vince Gilligan wrote the last half an hour, but according to imdb they both wrote it and I wouldn't be surprised if different people wrote the first and second parts of this movie. The movie starts out with will smith being the alcoholic superhero that they have been advertising for all this time. Decent jokes, and I'd say its pretty good, if it ended there. But all of a sudden they decided that an hour wasn't good enough and decided to veer off the plot line and add some sappy chick-flick love story, but more than that. They decided to confuse the hell out of us by presenting us with something right out of the blue (I don't want to spoil it for you guys). But basically instead of saying "ohh, so thats who it is", the audience is going to say "Holy s*** what just happened?". Perhaps if they laid out this little part of the plot in the beginning it wouldn't have been so bad, but being hit right out of the blue was a bit shocking and confusing. Now I'm not saying that I didn't like the movie, I'm just saying that they could have done a better job at it. I am still very happy that I saw it and I did enjoy myself, and I recommend anyone who saw the coming attractions to this movie (and liked them) to go see this movie, for at least the first hour.
  21. I suggest using php to create a secure backend that your game can connect to and send and load data from. This way you shouldn't have any issues with permissions.
  22. Or you could get off your lazy *bottom* and learn how to build one from scratch. It's up to you. Hmm lets weigh our options: a. Spend 3 months making an mmorpg that nobody wants to play with mccodes not learning anything, and think you are amazing for using somebody else's hard work for your own stupid game. b. Spend 6 months making an mmorpg that nobody wants to play by programming it from scratch and actually get more experienced in the programming language. c. Get an internship at a game developer studio, learn from the pros how to make games and help design games people will actually play. hmm...
  23. Sorry for the late reply I've been swamped between work and school. Keying (also known as chroma keying or color keying) is the removal of color in a clip of video. It can be especially handy if you have a properly lit greenscreen and want to add yourself (or something else) into a shot that didn't contain it before.
  24. You are getting the error because that code is written very poorly. It is outputting data to the person's browser before attempting to send the headers. The easiest fix would be to replace the header at the end of your results.php file to a meta tag refresh. Either that or figure out a way to put the header before any outputting without creating a bug, my brain hurts too much at the moment to figure that out so i would recommend the meta tag.
