Earning Potential Of Movie Streaming Websites.
Ahsaniqbalkmc replied to Ahsaniqbalkmc's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I have tried to make it clear in my previous posts that I am not going to make any website which hosts illegal content or which promotes illegal content. I was just trying to gain some knowledge from experts of Xisto forum and after recieving comments from you and yordan, I can now say that it is one of the most informative topic for me. I have learned a lot of things from the discussions between us.My own website which is based on Human Anatomy is performing reasonably well and has started to show some promise. It is making good earning on per day basis and I have reached very close to achieve my first goal. So instead of wasting my time on another new website (which will still take a lot of time to get settled) I am going to continue with my primary website (MANanatomy.com) because it is showing me a lot of promise. I have added a question answers section to it (although I haven't made it very attractive or informative yet) but still I think it is going to be a valuable addition to my website. Furthermore I have learned about the behavior of different keywords on search engines and how backlinks can boost your rankings. I am now a much better webmaster than what I was about 4 months ago. And my website is much better that what it was about 4 months ago and I should thank you (@Starscream) for this because it was you who suggested me to go for a CMS (wordpress) instead of designing each page of my website manually with dreamweaver). -

First of all let me say that I am really thankful for all your help during my entire period on Xisto forums, however, I used to think that you enjoy sharing your experiences with people. After hearing the above paragraph, I am disappointed, not with you but with myself. I should have been more careful and must have not bothered a professional like you so many time. So all I can do now is assure that I don't bother you in future. But still, I am very very thankful for all your help. From this discussion of yours and from the posts made by Yordan, it is clear that such websites are completely illegal and nobody should get into this stuff. I have learned lots of stuff about few high traffic and low competition keywords from this discussion and now I can assume a reason for the keywords that why they have so little competition in spite of the high amount of traffic they get. -

OK OK, don't be angry upon me. I assured you in my previous post that I am not going to create any website on xisto which violates our agreement. I just wanted to have your comments on it. By the way thanx for the serious comments and reminding me of our agreement. -

LOL MR moderator is getting curious about me. Dear yordan I am not going to create an illegal website on Xisto forum. Don't you worry about this. However, as you have contributed in the discussion, and because you are a moderator as well, I would love to get your comment on the following reasoning. You said that I am not allowed to place copyrighted movies on my website. Suppose (only suppose ok) that I create a website where there is no illegal content on it. But it contains links to illegal content placed somewhere else on the internet. Would this be counted as "Promoting Illeagal Content" or there can be a way out? -
Earning Potential Of Movie Streaming Websites.
Ahsaniqbalkmc replied to Ahsaniqbalkmc's topic in Websites and Web Designing
These are neither my own thoughts nor have I copied it from somewhere. I have a group of few friends on facebook. All of them are one way or the other related to administrating a website. We were discussing issues about our websites. A friend suggested that we should start a project where all of us can contribute to one single website. In this way the website will develop quickly and we will get our goals soon. After all of us agreed on this suggestion, a search for the topic of the website started. In that research, movie streaming websites were taken into account and the post I made is the summary of that discussion. I wanted to get comments on this (and also make a few credits) so I posted the discussion in my own words here. By the way thanks for providing such a resourceful reply on it. Let me reason with you on this. You said that linking to a copyrighted content can make me get a legal notice. I will quote the example of http://www.onlinewatchmovies.co/ where such thing is going on. All they have done is posted a message in which they say that they are not responsible for the legal status of the content linked from their pages and the website is running well. It is receiving a lot of traffic on daily basis which is suggested by its good alexa rank. Suppose you link to a page and the content on the page is copied. How are you supposed to know that the content is copy righted. I have a personal experience of taking guidance from some pages on the internet to write an article. Then when the article is complete, I drop a link to the source from where I took the guidance. How am I supposed to know that the content is copied from somewhere else or is illegal. My duty is to keep my own website clean and I cannot make others clean because I have no control over them. You would argue here that even you cannot make others clean, but at least you can stay away from others, but my reply to this is that to survive online, you need to be social. If you are not interacting with other websites , you can't survive. It is as simple as this.I want your comments on this. In the end I would really appreciate if you can provide me suggestions on what type of website we must start. Or at least where we can find the guidance on this. -
I am using only adsense ads on my website. If the adsense performance is low, the earnings of the website becomes low. On the other hand if the adsense performance increases, the earnings of my website also increase accordingly. However, when I see a big website, I notice a lot of different ad sources on them. I would like to quote the example of squidoo here. They are using adsense ads as well as chitika ads in their lenses in addition to other potential sources of income such as direct advertisement and amazon product sales. In addition to squidoo, a number of different popular website uses the same strategy. Now I have a question to ask. Suppose you have a page big enough to support three ad units in it without distracting the users and creating an annoying effect. Suppose you place two adsense units and one chitika link unit on it. Now my question is that a lot of people say that adsense is better by far than all other ad sources in the market today. The work "all other" covers the chitika ads as well. Now if the adsense units bring you more money, why you are not replacing the third chitika ad unit with another adsense unit. If somebody clicks an ad in the chitika ad unit, you will get some money in your topics but if the same user clicks the ad in the adsense ad unit, you are more likely to recieve more money as compared to what you earn from chitika. So why not place all three adsense units instead of wasting the space with chitika ads.I searched on the internet and found two possible reasons why mixed advertisement is better than only adsense advertisement. I will explain them in the lines below but I need your comments on it.1) The first reason is based on the fact that very few niches have so many advertisers that all adsense units are filled with highly relevant ads. In most cases, when there are not enough advertisers in the niche, you may get very unrelated ads in the adsense units which are very unlikely to be clicked. Not only they are unlikely to be clicked, but they don't perform well even if they are clicked because the visitors are not looking for that type of information and the landing page of the advertiser doesn't make them satifsfied. They will quickly exit the page and in this way, although you may get some money on CTR basis, the money will be very low and the performance of your adsense account as a whole gets some negative points. So when you place lesser number of adsense units, the lesser number of links are required to fill these units and thus most likely, the units will be filled by highly relevant ads which will result in good income into your pockets.2) the second reason is that for pages which can afford more than 3 ad units, you have to go for sources other than adsense. Because they don't allow you more than three adsense units per page. By using ads from sources other than adsense, not only you get the chance to complete the monetization of your page, but in a way you tend to go towards independance. You are no more dependent on the performance of any one ad source and the average earning from your website on monthly basis will more like remain constant.I need your comments on this post. Thanks in advance.

With the appearance of services like megavideo and vidreel etc, you might have noticed that a lot of websites are coming out who just present the links to the place where one can watch a movie for free. Such websites, which just display the links in an organized manner receive a lot of traffic on daily basis. I just wanted an idea about the effectiveness of monetization of such websites. For obvious reasons, CPC ads like google adsense etc are not going to work on them. And because Google adsense ads are by far the most beneficial ads for webmasters, there is no such luxury available to these movie websites. People don't tend to click on links in these websites, They just want to watch the movies and then go away. However, the great number of visitors that these sites receive suggests that even for a low CPM ad, the earning should be above average as compared to other niche websites requiring similar amount of hard work. Some niche websites may require even more hard work and still earn less than these easy to make money websites. When you visit vidreel, you will see a huge number of ads, some of which are in the form of banners and some in the form of pop-ups and pop-downs. On average, each visitor coming to vidreel must see about 6-8 ads before he can actually watch the movie, which he was looking for. So even for very low CPM rates, the website must make a good sum of money. Similarly the indirect websites, which just organize the movies into categories and then display the links of various places where the movies can actually be watched, also display a huge number of ads. They also tend to receive a huge amount of traffic and thus the earning potential for such websites should also be good.If you compare the amount of work you need to put in creating such a website, with the amount of work needed to create a good quality niche website, you will clearly see that just organizing the movies and displaying links is much more easy than actually creating quality content. For movie sites which just display the links to actual places to watch movies, you just need to copy a poster of the movies from imdb, then write the name of the movie and display the links to places where you can watch it online. On the other hand for niche websites, you need to actually spend hours of time in creating a quality article and then post it in an effective manner, which also requires some time. So if the movies site make even the same amount of income as a niche website of comparable pages, the movies site is still better because there is much less time invested in it.However I would like to know the earning potential of such websites. Also how would the search engines rate them. Because new websites on this strategy are popping out daily, the keywords must be highly competitive so gaining a good position in the search results for these terms might be a difficult task however, if the potential is good, then this risk can be taken.

I don't think the page rank of your website effects the basic calculation of your income through adsense. Yes, in an indirect way, the page rank of your website may effect the total income, which you can earn from your website but direct influence is negligible if any.Now let me explain the basics of calculation of adsense earnings. The main thing that counts in calculation of adsense earnings is the advertizer's bids. Let me make it simple. The advertisers, who place ads on websites through adsense, determine the amount of money they will pay for each click. Then when the ad is clicked on a website, a portion of the amount of money decided by the advertiser is paid to the webmaster. Other factors which influence the earnings from adsense ads include the originality and validity of clicks and the performance of the adsense account. The way in which the page rank (or in other words, reputation of a website) influences the income from a website is explained below. When a website becomes popular in its niche, the advertizers start competing for place on it and in this way they tend to bid higher and higher for targeted ads. In this way the earning of a high quality website may be more than the earnings of an ordinary website, however, this phenomenon is very rare because only a few websites manage to become so pupular that advertisers start competing for some advertising space on the website.

I see of this post as a kind of marketing for submitexpress.com. There is no useful method of getting traffic to website explained. I mean how can submitting your website to search engines bring you traffic if your website is ranked on the 200th page of search results. Nobody is going to look for results until the 200th page. So you need to do much more than that to bring traffic to your website. Let me explain the basic theory of how a website can go from nothing to everything in a period of few months. First of all, the most important thing is that you create a quality website. If the quality of service that you provide on your website is high, success is sure to come, however you cannot survive if you just copy some body else's work or create a crappy website and stuff it with ads. So the first thing you need to do is to create a good resourceful website that provides quality service. It doesn't matter what your website is about. All that matters is that your website should provide such content which visitors want to see again and again. If you are successful in creating such content, you will surely become successful. Once you created a good website, the next thing you need to do is to let people know about your website. There is no common sense in spending all your time in just creating the website and not in letting the world know about it. The process is a bit difficult in start because of millions of website that are out there however, with quality content on your site, once you get about 100 visits a day, a series of positive things will start for your website. The visitors who come to you by some other source will get impressed and bookmark you or share the link with their friends. In this way they will act as an advertisement for your website but I mention here again that for this to happen you need to have high quality content on your site. The traffic will keep increasing and the best point of following this strategy is that you don't need to beg the search engines to rank you better in search results to get traffic. Instead the search engines will follow you and try to rank you better and better. The other strategy which depends on the invovement of search engines is a tiring one and you cannot be sure about the bechaviour of these search engines. The Google for example changes its algorithm constantly and can make heroes covert to zeros within a night as happened with article publishing websites currently.

Best Ways To Obtain Back-links To Your Website
Ahsaniqbalkmc replied to Ahsaniqbalkmc's topic in Search Engines
Actually the method of obtaining paid backlinks has been stated as spam by google and if it catches any website with this type of linking, it drops its ranking by a huge amount. However, sometimes you need to go to the black hat methods of the seo to get that extra boost for your website. I will give a simple example here. Suppose you have worked hard on your website and have made it come to the 11th place in search results for the primary keyword. Now instead of waiting for a month or two and continuing the hard work, you can just obtain one backlink from a high pr page. What this does is improve your websites serp by atleast two or three positions and you will come to the first page of the search results. You will see clearly the difference in the number of visitors that your site recieve when it goes from the second page of google's search to the first page. This will boost the traffic to your website in quick time and is good for your website. Now if your website offers quality content to the users, their actions on the pages of your website will enforce google to enhance your search rating and a series of positive actions will start. Your site will keep on improving until it reaches the first spot in googles search. This thing has increases in importance because of current google updates according to which google analyzes the behaviour of users on websites and determine the position of the website in the search results accordingly. For a good website, users will spend more time on it, click more links and view more pages pere visit. THe bounce rate will be low and percentage of new visitors will also be low. So for a website with this type of stats, even if the backlinking is not strong enough, google has to put it forward in search results and improve its rating all the time. So a simple black hat method can trigger an event of good positive things for your website and after all this, even google itself won't mind the paid backlink for your website because your website can be a source of income for google itself (if you are displaying adsense ads) -
Most probably, you are using a shared internet connection. I can say it because most email providers of today do scan the ip address of the person who is attempting to log in to your account repeatedly. If this is the case, I can't think of any solution for this however i might share with you some strategies to remain safe on the internet. You mentioned that you posted your email address on your website so that users can contact you and bless you with their valuable suggestions. I want to tell you that this is not a good idea. I have two reasons to back my statement. Number one: People don't like to sign in to their email account and then type the your email address in the send queue and then type the message they wanted to send you. Even if someone does this hard work to give you his suggestion, he might have forgot the message in the mean time. So you need to make it simple for the users to contact you and just displaying your email address for this purpose is not a good idea in my opinion.Number two: Many programs are built to catch email addresses from the web so that the marketing offers and spam advertisement messages can be sent to the users directly. By posting your email address directly, you are running at a high risk to be affected by such spammy things. You should never post your primary email address directly anywhere on the web.So what you can do to receive suggestions from your users? The answer is that you can create a form that your users will fill while being on your website and send it to you by just one click. In this way not only your email address will be safe from abused by spammy messages but your visitors will be happy as well because in this way they can send you thier message directly. They don't need to sign in to their email account and send you the message from there. It also gives you a control on what type of data you need from your users. You can set fields like name, country, age etc in the form and make your user fill them by stating that they are compulsory.

The first post in this topic should not be followed by any adsense user. It is complete rubbish and can bring you only harm. It is against the common sense. I mean is Google a baby, which doesn't know about its surroundings. Those who think of Google as a fool are fools themself. A company which earns more than 500$ per second should be expected to be smart enough to catch this type of basic fraud. Google earns a lot of money through the adsense program. By "a lot of", I mean millions of dollars per day. So if you earn millions of dollars per day from a source, would you not invest in the protection of that source. Google must have invested a lot of money to eliminate click frauds and other similar things. And I believe in the fact that the more you invest in something, the better it becomes. Now if google earns millions of dollars per day, the investment in the security of the adsense program would be in billions. If you think that billion dollar investment cannot even catch this type of basic fraud, you are a real fool then. Now let me explain the theory behind how google catches this type of fraud and why you should avoid it. Google registers the ips of the internet connections that a user use to either:log in to the gmail accountlog in to the adsense accountlog in to the website administration. Now any ip address which you use to do any of these three things is registered with Google as your property and if the ads on your website are clicked by such ips, your adsense account will be terminated and you will be banned from using adsense. You can think that once you are banned, you might try to make a new adsense account from a differrent ip and start again but this isn't the case because the website which is registered for click frauds can never be used to show adsense ads again. So you will have to change your computer, change your internet connection and start a new website to get back to the adsense. So this is a huge price to pay for just 4 or 8$Nowadays the proxies are very common and any one can use them to change the ip of their connections. However you should keep in mind that once you use a proxy. you can't view the adsense ads and thus the click fraud is impossible through proxies. For further protection, google has lots of familiar and hidden techniques of identifying users. The engineers of google are some of the best minds on the earth and i can bet that they are smarter than me and you so don't mess with them or you will find yourself in trouble.

Where Does The Main Part Of Google's Income Come From?
Ahsaniqbalkmc replied to Ahsaniqbalkmc's topic in Search Engines
This explanation seems very logical. Google gets more than sixty percent of all internet searches and this means millions of searches per day. The normal CPC for and advertizer to show ads on Googles search results ranges from $0.1 to $3 or even $4. This means that google can literally earn millions of dollars each day. This can be calculated to somewhat 500 dollars per second. Man! this is huge earning. If my website starts making 10$ a day, I would be the happiest person in the world. By the way, I also agree with the statement that other google products like android platform, youtube, orkut etc might not be that profitable. This shows that google has a strong marketing strategy to show its presence in all types of fields. Now like apple, google has entered into the hardware business in hope of reaching to even more heights. Though programs like youtube and blogger may themself prove to be very profitable directly, but google's main goal with these services is to make its presence felt and keep its value up. We see that every now and then google launches a new service. Some of these services are a total flop but they still play a part in google's success. In the world of increasing technology, remaining conspicuous is vital and google does it by inventing new services every now and then. Whenever a new service is launched by google, a talk about it starts and those users which are unhappy with google's performance tend to return to see the new stuff. So google is a big beast which is very difficult to be beaten. To beat google, something extraorginary is required. And this potential is shown by facebook. It is getting famous with such a high speed that many advertizers are npw considering it as the primary source of targeted visitors instead of google. It is a time of worry for google because facebook really has the potential to beat it. Lets see what happens in the future. -
This means that I have got the basics right. But let me ask you more specific questions because from your discussion, you seem to have great experience of working with social media.I want to ask specific questions about facebook because I have heard a lot about the potential of it in bringing fortune. Suppose I create a page on facebook for my website. How should I use this page? I mean what should I add on the page that can bring targeted traffic back to my website. I don't think that just stuffing it with links to my pages can bring me some good traffic. I was searching for the strategy to work on twitter and I found some articles with a number of working strategies. It was written that instead of just posting a link to your webpage, use a questioning strategy to get peopl'e attentions. For example instead of saying "Hey, I have added a new page to my website. You can see it here......." use something like "Do you know who is the most famous personality of 2010. The answer is here ......" (I need your comments on this) But I want to ask you that will this work for facebook or not. Because I think that facebook is entirely different from twitter. So please explain to me that how should I use the facebook page to get traffic to my website. Further more tell me that how and what should I add to the facebook page to make it more involving and attracting so that people can return again and again. I once submitted some answers on thescienceforum.net, it brought me some good number of visitors so I think this will also be a good place to work on. But the main problem I have with this strategy is that I have to work continuously on it. And I cannot work continually. During exam days, I cannot work for about 3 months and during this time the whole work may be spoiled. So I need to make a balance between the continuity of my work and make sure that all my hard work that I have done before that is not spoiled.I have never heard of a social media site concentrated on the medical topic. If you can help me on how to find such sites, I will be really glad. What do you mean by opening a social channel on my website. I don't get it. I have no idea of how to do it. Please explain this in detail so that I can understand how its done and what are its uses.

Windows Live Search The future of MSN Search
Ahsaniqbalkmc replied to FirefoxRocks's topic in Search Engines
I nearly faced a huge loss because of this problem. Once, when I was on tour and my PC was not available to me, I went to a net cafe and spent some time there. I signed into my email account to check the emails etc but i forgot to log out of it. Then after a few days, when I checked my email again, I was unable to access it. The password didn't work for me. Somebody had changed the password of my email by signing into the account from the same computer in the net cafe that I used. I was luck enough to find that the secret questions were not changed. I reset my password by using the secret questions and made a narrow escape because the email address was my primary one, the one which I use for almost all types of work. After that incident I developed a strategy to be safe. The net cafes here are not that good and they just have internet explorer installed in the computers. Now whenever I use a net cafe, first of all I download firefox by using internet explorer and then install it on the computer. Then I use the internet with an open heart without caring about my privacy and protection (I really hate all the things one needs to do to be safe in situations like that of shared computer). Then at the end when I am done with my work, I uninstall the firexfox from the computer. I also make sure that the personalizations and history etc are all deleted. In this way I make myself safe. -
Ok so I got the point that I need to work more on bringing traffic from social websites instead of search engines, because (according to what I have understood from our discussion uptill now), once traffic start coming into my website, and they perform actions which prove the quality of my website, then search engines will automatically follow me and the ranking of my website in search results will get better and better.(Please comment on the above paragraph) After getting a solution for the question I asked you in my previous post that where should I start to become independant of search engines?, the next question I am going to ask you is: Which social media sites should I target and how to get traffic from them? I know that the most famous social websites out there are Facebook and Twitter. I have never used these websites to bring traffic into my website, however, I have read in a lot of places that social websites especially twitter can bring you a lot of traffic, which might sometimes exceed than the traffic coming from search engines. I can think of some plan at the back of my mind to work on to get traffic from such websites but I am not sure about it and I want you to explain the strategy to me in detail. I can think of different plans for facebook and twitter. I am going to explain them in the lines below but please comment on them in detail and explain the strategy as you explained during our discussion on Article Marketing. For Facebook: First of all I need to join pages and discussions similar to the topic of my website. Then When I make useful additions to these pages and groups, I can make some friends (real people) there who have some interest in the topic. After making some reputation, I will create a page for my website and share them with all the friends that have interests similar to the topic of my website. Once I get a good number of friends to the page, I will start posting updates and stories to the page with links to related pages on my website. But I have to post regular updates to keep the traffic coming in. For twitter: Well I should say that I don't know how to make people follow me on twitter. That is why I don't have any plan for it. I can do a bit of research on it but if you can explain the strategy to me directly here, it can save me a lot of effort. I would also like to hear about more social website that i can effectively use to bring traffic to my website so please be generous with me.
-
IT was really nice hearing from you @yordan. You are right in saying that you are a standard user and I should look to take care of standard users. I spend a good amount of time taking care of standard users but then again I have to say that first of all I need to bring standard users to my website. If I cannot bring any users, what is the point of investing time in making user experience better. I mean first of all I need to have some visitors through whose behavior I can judge the quality of my website. Once the specific amount of visitors start coming, i will get useful data about my website and by comparing the data with that of my competitors, i can conclude the performance of my website. I must tell you here that I do have brought enough traffic to my website to get that basic data and when i compare the data with that of some of my competitors, I find my website not very far behind them. Yes there are some corrections and optimizations to be made but still the website is going good. Now my target is to invest my time in bringing more users until I reach 10000 visits a month. After that, considering the data I am getting from the analytics services, I will make changes and optimizations to my website to improve the user experience. Please comment on this approach and If you can suggest a better approach, I would be really thankful.

Ok I got it.I am now coming to understand your point. The basic thing I understood from our discussion uptil now is that you are trying to tell me "Don't rely on Google alone because its growing bad by each passing day" Although I don't feel like some other search engine will replace google in near future, I have tried to do a little research on the reputation of google and I have found a lot of people saying things similar to yours. I can now say that you must be saying the truth because after all you are more experienced and more educated than me in this field. Ok so suppose I say that I am going to decrease my dependance on Google. Now what should I do? I mean where should I start? I have tried to make a point in my previous post, which I want to elaborate here again. I said that the websites of my type must depend on search engines because of the nature of visitors. More than 75% of visitors only come once and they don't like to return, not because the website is of bad quality but because they got what they required and they don't need anything else. In such case, referral traffic etc is not going to work because even if I have a lot of referrals, the visitors coming from them will also come only once, not again and again. And because receiving traffic from search engines require less investment than from referrals, search engines are a better way of getting traffic for websites of type similar to mine. (Please correct me if I am wrong) I must say that in addition to search engines, I can get a lot of traffic from social media (which I am getting currently) and this can increase to a great deal with time, but still the traffic from search engines provide me much better results as compared to traffic from social media. Now if I have to depend on traffic from search engines majorly, what should I do if I am to become independent of the monster: Google. I researched the ways of getting on top in yahoo and bing search results and I was unable to find any major differences. All three main search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing) have almost the same requirements with some minor additions or substractions. For example Google considers links as the prime factor for linking and Yahoo and Bing also give a huge weightage to links. However when I see the results for my website, I don't understand what is happening. My website is ranked on the first page for the keyword human anatomy on google however it is on the 5th page on both bing and yahoo. What I want to ask you here is that what should I do to get better results on Yahoo and Bing. Please provide me a few guides if you can.

Yes there is a life without google and may be it is a far better life but what I want to say is that for an average webmaster like me, who dont't have much investment to make (if any) to live without google, the life becomes very hard. If I am not investing to bring referral traffic or I am not investing to make my website brilliant enough to compel visitors return to it (I can't do it myself because I am just an average webmaster and not a brilliant one), how am I going to survive. You will have to agree with the fact that traffic coming from search engines is the easiest and cheapest traffic to obtain for average websites. My stress is on "average websites". I am not discussing the case of facebook where the product is itself brilliant enough to attract huge amounts of traffic. Websites of such quality and magnitude can afford to live without google (I am speaking on behalf of conditions today) because they don't need the traffic coming from search engine. People know these websites by name and don't search for them on search engines. But in case of my website, people don't come to mananatomy.com. People come looking for "what is human anatomy?" or "The functions of skeletal system" etc. They don't know what mananatomy.com is. Even if mananatomy.com offers brilliant content on what are the functions of skeletal system, who cares about mananatomy. A person wants to know the functions of skeletal system, he is very very unlikely to return to mananatomy.com looking for the functions of skeletal system again because he got what he was looking for. On websites which can afford to live without search queries, people need to come back again and again for example to see what their friends are doing, what are the latest news etc. The most a brilliant website, based on topics such as mine, can do in bringing traffic back is that someone bookmarks the site and when an info similar to the first is needed, the visitor returns and takes the info and disappear. For this very reason the percentage of new visitors on my website is always above 85%. Now tell me when I am totally dependant on search queries, how can I live without google even if I build a good audience. For websites of my type, one person will view one page only once and not again and again. So if I am dependant on search queries completely, I have to care about the service (google) where more than 60% of entire internet's searches are made. No matter the service (google) is bad or good or whatever. What I need is search queries giving me traffic. If google gives me 100 visits per day and bing gives me 30, who am I supposed to care about more. Obviously I should care about google more than bing inspite of the fact that google has a monopoly to improve its own products, bad search results, unrelated content in searches and blah blah blah. I mean who cares about this all. As far as google is bringing me traffic more than anyone else, it is good for me and I should care about what it likes and what it doesn't.

I didn't wanted to make a point about the discussions of matt cutts. I have no concern whether he speaks the truth or not because I don't follow him. What I wanted to say was "because he is a google official a lot of people hear his advices very carefully and try to implement them into their websites or whatever". Now you can't disagree with it because a high percentage of webmasters try to rank well on google and for this they are ready to do anything. To rank well, they think that they should follow matt cutt's advice (which they take as official google advice).I would also like to comment of black hat seo thing. I don't think there is an effective white hat seo method that can provide results quickly. According to google itself, links are the most important part of SERP and all incoming links should be natural. Now in white hat seo you cannot do much with your off-page optimization. (apart from directory submissions or few others). All you have to do is with you on-page optimization and it may take you years to rank well for some competitive terms. Black hat methods are always with quick results and that is why you and I follow them. You said that with recent updates, the quality of search is decreased. I don't think I agree with you. Yes you might be right in saying that google is trying more and more to bring its own products and affiliated sites on top in the organic search results but still the results are good enough to provide quality user experience. Google with all its shortcomings, still provides better results than yahoo, bing, ask etc. I can back this statement by the percentage of visitors that go to google instead of yahoo bing or ask. Suppose there are two shops which sell meat. The price on both shops is same (just suppose) but the quality of meat on one is better than the other. So for obvious reasons, the one with better quality of meat will get more customers than the other. How many times would you have seen a relatively poor quality product (when all other things are same) recieving more customers than a good quality product. You cannot deny this fact.

That was really helpful but I am thinking of my blog to appear a little different than my website. I want the blog to have its own identity. The content I want to put on it is also not for the promotion of my primary website. I just need it to be an independent blog with independant content and independant users which may come to my website by their own will. I know that the best part of having a subdomain blog is to promote your primary website but I am planning to experiment with blogging and to check how blogging works in my niche. That is why I have installed a different theme and it has completely differrent appearance.

In this tutorial I will try to explain How to put a basic facebook login button next to a comment form so that users can login through their facebook accounts and are then allowed to comment on your blog. You need to edit the source code of the page where you want the facebook login button to appear. Open the source code editor and enter the code <fb:login-button onlogin="alert('Authenticated!');"></fb:login-button> You see it is a simple html tag. It allows you to easily incorporate facebook components into your webpage. But in order to make this work you are going to need a little bit of javascript. Add the following to your webpage (the best place to add this javascript is just above the closing body tag in your page. <script type=âtext/javascriptâ src=âhttp://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/; The second step is to add another script to tell facebook who you are and how to communicate with you. To do this add the following code; FB.init(âyour application keyâ, âcross domain receiver fileâ) As stated within the code, the first argument is your application key and the second argument is the cross domain receiver file. Both of these are explained below. Facebook treats every website as an application and you need to go to facebook to get an application key. Go to facebook developers /?_fb_noscript=1. This is the place where you can configure all your application settings. It is a dedicated platform from facebook to users like you and me where we can develop our own facebook application. At the developers page, click âsetup a new applicationâ. You need to enter two fields to get you started. The first is your application name. This is what your users will see when they connect to your website. So make sure that it is something recognizable. After entering a name, you need to click the âoptional fields buttonâ and then enter the root url of your website in the field âBase Domainâ. Edit further options if you want but I recommend to leave them as they are. Click âsubmitâ to complete their application. When your application is created, you will se to special key visible to you. The first one is titled API key and the second one is Secrets. Other things visible on this page are application id and contact email etc. Copy the API key and paste it into the âyour application keyâ in the FB.init code. The second argument was the url to your cross domain receiver file. It should be a simple url to a page that enables secure connection between your website and facebook. Create a new file within your websiteâs root directory and name it something like âcross_domain_reciever.htmâ or something you can remember. Enter the filename in the cross domain receiver file argument. You need to do one more thing to make sure that your html code is standards compliant. You need to make an extra xml name space declaration in the html tag at the top of the page. The declaration should look something like below: xmlns:fb=http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Thatâs it. Check how it works by refreshing the page. You should see a connect button at the place where you added its code.

astahost owners will be really glad to read the posts in this topic. I am also one of you who has been hugely benefitted by the mycents system. One year ago when I was trying to buy a domain name, I found this great service. I first thought that it is going to be very difficult for me to continue posting in the forum (which is somewhat true) but is nothing compared to the hassle of buying a domain directly by online payments. I have an additional problem because I am from Pakistan and there is no paypal here. So if we are to buy a domain, we don't have much options. We will either look for a domain seller who accepts payments from sources other than paypal or we will have to find someone abroad who can make the payment for us. The other thing is the use of a VISA supported credit card which is also globally accepted. However, in pakistan, credit cards are not that common and you really need some money in your bank account to be able to get one. So this option works for only those who are well established in terms of their business and are already making some money. But people like me who are entirely new to the internet and come from the middle class cannot afford a credit card here. So without credit card and without paypal I had no option but to look for someone who can pay the money for me. It was a tough job because you can't trust anyone. But finally I found this great service which made life easier for me. I pay all my website invoices through mycents. Honestly speaking I am very disappointed to hear that with increasing number of posts, mycents become harder and harder to earn. I really want some official from Xisto to tell the truth about this thing. If it is real, then it is a real disappointment for me and I will have to start looking for other sources because I don't have any alternative for the time when things will become harder and harder for me.If any moderator sees my post, please make a reply to it about the rumor that earning mycents become more and more difficult with increasing number of posts.

Do I Need To Submit My Blog To Search Engines?
Ahsaniqbalkmc replied to imjjss's topic in Search Engines
in more than 90% cases, search engines find your blog through a link coming from some other website because one of the first things webmasters do is obtain links to their websites. I remember in my early days with this search engine thing, i submitted my website to google and I was very disappointed to see that google might take 6 weeks to index my website. Furthermore there was no surety of whether it will include my website in its index or not. After getting a bit disappointed, i tried to search for methods to get my website indexed in quick time. i searched a lot and finally found a SEO guide in which there was a very brilliant method given. It was stated there that search engine bots follow any links on a webpage that they are currently indexing. SO all you need to do is to obtain a link to your website from a webpage which is currently being indexed by google. In this way, when google bot will come to the page, it will see the link to your website and follow it. After that it will have a look at your website and if it finds your website good enough to be included in the index, it will add it. That is how I got my website indexed in about 5 days.So submitting your website to search engines is a good thing to be on the safer side because suppose that the pages you have obtained links from are banned or are not currently indexed or some other thing happens to them, then your indexing is at a risk. Furthermore, submission doens't take much time. It will take about 2 minutes to inform a search engine about your website. So be on the safer side but your focus should be on obtaining a high quality link from a high quality website to get your blog indexed quickly. -
Removing Information From Google Search Engine
Ahsaniqbalkmc replied to Hillary1405241547's topic in Search Engines
You might be true in saying that publishing your information on the internet is a risk but I must say that there are a lot of ways to protect your private data. If a page is published publically, it is meant to be indexed by bots (without the discrimination of good and bad). All bots are meant to index the published page and data which is confidential should not be published publically. If a person publishes private data publically and later on complains of risk of publishing information on the internet, it is his fault not internet's. The first line of defence for keeping private data confidential is to block indexing by search engine bots. If we assume that the quoted text is correct, even is such situtation at least the good bots will avoid indexing the page and making it public. And let me tell this here that most famous bots are good bots. So even if your webpage is not indexed only by good bots, you still recieve about 80% protection. The second line of defence, which targets the bad bots is password protected pages. They are totally under your control and cannot be indexed by anything unless they know your password or crack it. So yes publishing your information on the internet is a risk but it depends on you that how you publish it. If you do the things correctly, it is not that much risk but if you don's give a damn to doing things correctly, you are at a big risk.
