  1. I realize that developing your own wordpress theme is difficult. I have absolutely no idea how to start developing a theme so what I was really wondering is if it is possible to use ANY blog CMS (not limited to wordpress) to embed into the content <div> if your site. I think someone this similarly to what I was looking for at ChamberHymns.com at the blog section of the website. I don't think he uses a CMS or anything though. What I am looking for is a comment section, rating system (5-star system, thumbs up/thumbs down, etc.), etc.
  2. Yes. I have noticed that. If I opened up my internet browser right after my desktop loaded, it would take a while before I was even able to do anything with it. I would have to say that it takes around a 75 seconds from the time I hit the power button on my computer to begin using my computer regularly. A lot of my processes have to load up before I can start using programs.
  3. My computer boots up in around 45 seconds from the moment I turn it on until I reach my desktop. I'm running on Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 3), Pentium 4 CPU (2.40 Gigahertz), with only one GB of RAM.
  4. I was searching on Google and I saw something about jQuery plugins that caught my eye. I was wondering how you would install jQuery plugins into your website. I searched it up on Google but was not able to find a tutorial on how to do this. I also tried doing it myself but failed. I was looking at these plugins: TipTip jQuery - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Captify - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Aero Windows - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Growl Notifications - http://jquery.com/ These plugins looked pretty neat and I thought that it would improve the visual pleasure of my website. Also, do you need prerequisite knowledge of jQuery to install these plugins as well?
  5. Thank you for your reply. I believe that I am starting to understand how implementing a blog into an existing website works. I'm still a bit confused about what you mean by using a CMS to implement a blog. Is it possible to implement the blog strictly into the content tag or do you have to develop an entire new theme for the CMS blog?
  6. In my opinion, the fact that there are UFO's, aliens, etc. on the planet at this very moment is very doubtful. There would be a much more bigger commotion about the subject if there really were UFO's and aliens on the planet. The pictures of sightings are probably just there for money.I believe that if there are aliens and UFO's on the Earth at this moment, many people will switch their focus on learning more about these aliens. There will be lots of talk about extraterrestrial life and I don't know why anyone would keep it a secret.
  7. I would have to go with Contact Form 7. In my opinion, it is easier to use than Cforms II. However, with Contact Form 7, the form loads javascript/jquery on every single page. Depending on the size of your website, it may hinder the performance of your website. CForms II allows you to specify which pages the code will load on. I would personally stick with Contact Form 7 if you have a relatively small site and CForms II for relatively larger websites with more monthly traffic.
  8. You can also download the entire source code for a contact form from http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. Edit the source code and embed the contact form into your website. Since you download the source code, you can customize your form entirely. It's a better alternative if you are looking for a free form creator (most contact forms require you to pay a fee.). However, if does not support CAPTCHA. You might be able to add a CAPTCHA to the form but I'm not sure.
  9. I'm wondering if it is possible to embed a blog (wordpress, if possible) into the contents of your site. For example, I was looking at David Choi's website and I thought it was pretty cool how his blog was implemented into his site. http://davidchoimusic.com/david-choi-dog-snoopy/ http://davidchoimusic.com/category/blogs/ I was looking to find out how to do something like the two links above. I want to know how to implement a blog inside a website (not having a seperate directory for a blog) keeping the same visual theme for both the site and the blog.
  10. I find that ridiculous. Sadly, human beings are attracted to porn and whatnot. If you look at YouTube, videos with suggestive images have a ton of views because people tend to click those links when they search for videos. Anyway, I doubt he would get many flower sales if he advertised his website with porn. Porn and flowers just don't go together. If people go on a porn site, its doubtful that they will decide to buy flowers.
  11. I like to use http://www.response-o-matic.com/ for my forms. I find it much more effective than mailto since the person who wants to email you needs to have a email program (Thunderbird, Outlook, etc.) to email you. All you need to do is setup your form and embed your form onto your webpage. When someone fills out the form and submits it, you will get an email emailed directly to whatever email you provided when you made the form with all of the information that was filled out in the form.
  12. Ah! DNS propagation was not the problem, I just found out that my website banned my IP from accessing it because I tried guessing my cPanel login/pass numerous times before I figured out that it was in one of my emails. I do not know what to do now. If I try accessing it with a VPN or proxy, it works but it is very inconvenient.
  13. I just purchased a hosting package from Xisto. I received an email containing details about my site. Shortly after, I received the emails, I was able to access the index file of my site. An hour later, my website started to give me broken links whenever I tried to access it so I was wondering what the problem is. Are the DNS servers still updating?
  14. just purchased my hosting from Xisto... where can I find cpanel login details?

  15. It also makes people like me feel very uncomfortable in the environment. The connotation of smoking is viewed negatively. Whenever you see a smoker, the way you think becomes a little bit more negative.
  16. I do not believe that we can live without money. Without money, you cannot purchase things like food that you need to survive. If you do not have money, then you will find that it is ridiculously hard to find food somewhere else. Most of our food doesn't come free and we work for it.
  17. Oh bleh... bux.to is a horrible scam site. I joined this site because of the testimonials on the right sidebar of the webpage. I was stupid and never tried searching up the website in Google to see if it was a scam or not. I searched for bux.to about 4 days after I joined. After reading terrible reviews about the site, I decided it was not worth waiting to see if the program worked. Along with bux.to lie almost every single get paid to surf site there is out there at the moment. Websites like CashFiesta, surfjunky, etc. have the word SCAM written all over it. Everyone should take a look at the GPTBoycott website (http://www.gptboycott.com/boycott/). It is a community list of GPT boycotts that have been declared scams. I would always check this site before ever joining a get-paid-to site.
  18. 1) What online radio do you use?I listen to online radios during the winter. I listen to 99.9 KEZ online which plays out 24/7 christmas music. I love it! It's become a habit for me to listen to the radio station every night before I go to sleep around in December.2) What search engine do you use the most?I use Google the most. It is almighty and it finds everything I am searching for in a matter of a few seconds. Sometimes, I may use SwagBucks for my search engine because you can incentives for using it (for example: amazon gift cards, paypal $5 USD, UGC Cards ($5), and tons of other things).3) What do you use the internet for mostly?I use the internet mostly for watching YouTube videos, getting help with my homework, keeping touch with friends and family on facebook, playing games sometimes, learning new things, browsing through forums, making money through GPT sites, listening to music, and downloading new software.4) How long do you spend on the internet?I spend around 3-4 hours on the internet on an average day (I want to say 2 hours since I always end up getting off my chair and doing something else while my computer is still on).5) Who is your ISP? (Internet Service Provider, AOL ect..)?I use Cox High Speed Internet for my internet service provider. I am pretty content with it. I would much rather have a T1 connection but my connection satisfies my needs at 3.38 mbps download and .24 mbps upload (data from speedtest.net)6) Do you have your own website?I do not have my own website yet but I am planning on getting one in a few weeks when I accumulate enough myCENT to start hosting my own site.
  19. HMmmm.... I do wonder. Especially how he has more dislikes than likes on his hit song (600 thousand dislikes). I do not know how that works. His Baby music video is one of the most seen videos on YouTube but it has around 50% more dislikes than likes. Most videos on YouTube's "most viewed" have like a 10:1 (like:dislike) ratio.
  20. I like WordPress. It allows more customization of user control over blogs. You can integrate scripts, get access to unlimited themes for your blog, and get tons of plugins. Also, it is better for search engines.
  21. Sony Vegas is amazing! I use it to edit every single video that I make. Windows Movie Maker is absolutely terrible. It makes it ridiculously hard to edit video clips along with audio. It really limits the amount of things you can do with a video. PowerDirector is also a really good video editor as well. I would not consider 3DS Max and Maya to be video editors. There are more 3-D modelers. You can render your creations but you cannot really edit video with the programs. I have used Maya before to make an animation of a virus. I really like the program.
  22. How could you say that Street Fighter is a horrible game? I love that game. It is a classic and I remember playing it with my friends all day long. I really liked those crappy graphical, 2-D, SNES games. They were so much fun to play and most of all, it was simple. A lot of games today are very sophisticated and we need some simple games as well. Take minecraft for example. It is a simple game which can be tons of fun after playing it for some while.
  23. My favorite character is Guile. I like the little disc that he throws. My other favorite character probably has to be Honda. I love his flying fist attack. I always spam the attack guaranteeing against my friends.
  24. My favorite way to start a day is to start one knowing that I have all of my homework completed for all of my classes. I like to listen to stereophonic music and freshen up myself with a morning shower. If it is nice outside (breezy/cloudy/rainy days are my favorite), I might take a walk.During the time around Christmas, the environment is just filled with good chi so I feel good every morning around this time of the year. Christmas music makes me unbelievably happy and joyful
