Your Favorite Card Game? Tell about youre fav game here
Frayed replied to JC05's topic in General Discussion
I like to play Crazy 8's, Poker, Slap Jack, Black Jack, Speed, Solitaire, Wahoo, and Canasta. My mom plays cards every single weekend and she knows a lot of card games. I only know 20% of the card games she knows. I've been playing 'go fish' since I was three so I guess my interest in cards started young. My mom taught me many types of card games and some of them I can't remember. I am not much interested in cards lately, I think the last time I even played a deck was about a year ago... not sure at all... around Christmas time when we switched our living room around so we could fit in a tree I believe. -
What Is Your Iq? Lets see how smart you are
Frayed replied to Unregistered 015's topic in General Discussion
When I first started IMing my brother on MSN we use to try and see who had the better IQ out there. We took about 12 IQ tests from different sites offering them. Our IQ's varied in so many ways. He would get 132 then 154 then 121, then 175, then 164 and then 147 and etc. I would get the same thing... I would get 143, then 171, then 112, then 155, then it varied some more. He scored higher then me all in all.I don't think that the IQ tests we took were accurate at all. I took a IQ test in grade 11 Psychology and I got a 158. My psych teacher said that there was most likely no IQ test is accurate and I believe him. I'll bet if you took another test on the same site or on a different site your results will vary as well. Einstein had a very low IQ. Although when looking on the internet to get an exact number I got people guessing as to what his IQ was. His IQ was from 91-111, I can't remember but it was close to there. This man came up with the Theory of Relativity and is still praised today as a genius with a name everyone knows. (I learned this is Psych class as well... wonder how I failed it... oh yeah! I didn't do the work.) -
Livejournal Or Myspace? Livejournal or Myspace?
Frayed replied to fillrbnny's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I have a myspace and a livejournal account. I haven't used myspace for a long time and I find it extremely annoying. I get a lot of junk mail from them. I see no point in having one. As for livejournal, I have like three accounts. Do I use them? Nope! I just like to customize them once and a while. I don't really get how you can compare myspace and livejournal. Maybe I wasn't on myspace long enough to know what it is. I always thought it was just a place to meet people over the internet and make customizable pages.I don't keep an online journal anymore. Too much things going on to keep up with it so i let it get e-dusty. -
I have two favorite numbers, wouldn't say they're my favorites. My numbers are eleven and thirteen. They're my favorite only they were always my school numbers back in elementry (sp?) school. I dislike the number 69 because in bingo it always screws me over and not because of the sexual manner of the number.

What's Your Music Player you current music player device
Frayed replied to hulunes's topic in General Discussion
If you're talking portable I use a Discman right now. I have no reason to get a MP3 player or what ever else is out there. For normal use since my sound card blew I've been using a DVD player hooked up to my sound system to listen to music. I like to sing along and when I'm confined to a little discman I feel stupid because I'm singing either flat or sharp. -
Trends That Get Too Popluar... Why do I hold a grudge agents them @_@?
Frayed replied to thebluekirby's topic in The Vent
Honestly I don't notice this as much as I did when I was 14/15. Maybe I was trying to find a place for myself or set myself apart from everyone else back then. Lately I just don't care what the trend is. I like all sorts of music, I wear the cheapest clothes and the most comfortable clothes I can find (They're usually cheap...) because tight pants hurt and all black isn't... nice... on me >_>, and I never knew chewing gum was a fad =X.Now I guess I could be labeled for a lot of the stuff I do. I went from black hair to platnium blonde and darker blonde highlights, I went from many piercings to only earrings, I went from wearing dark black eyeliner to wearing... bright colored make up ( I wanted to be a cosmotologist so I took make up *ehe* ) but I did know how to apply the black eyeliner unlike a lot of people. I changed a lot... whoa.Anyways I guess my opinion has changed over time. I guess it comes with being older? I don't know. Maybe I'll get back into it once I get into University. I do agree that trends can go to far, I don't want to see a reality of the stepford wives or etc. -
Do You Believe In Ghosts? In the Spirit of Halloween.
Frayed replied to LeAnn Rimes My Angel's topic in General Discussion
I am really inbetween with my beliefs. My mom thinks that ghosts are real because when she was younger she lived in a loft that had three floors. She was on the first floor, no one was on the second floor, and an old man whom was in a wheel chair was on the third floor. Anyways they would always hear stomping or a woman screams, a man yelling, thumps, noises of things breaking from the second floor. It could have been that the place was old and maybe she was hearing this mans television? My dad doesn't believe. He did for a bit when he went to this place about 200 miles out of my city. It was at where this train use to be... a light could be seen that people said was of a train conductor looking for the head he lost in a train crash. This story was featured on Unsolved Mysteries. I got to check it out and I was creeped out, I thought I saw this and that... but I was only seeing what I wanted to see which is why I think a lot of the time people are just itching to see a ghost and believe they do. Anyways it was featured on Unsolved Mysteries in the 80's or 90's. Just a few years ago a team of kids in grade 8 or 9 I believe figured out it was lights from cars on a different highway. I then got doubtful. As for any other things I don't think I've had any incounters. When I was a toddler I remember a lot of things that may have just been dreams. So I don't know... >_> -
I don't believe in Reincarnation, but I do think it is interesting. I did a paper on this for Psychology in grade 12, and it was really cool to read up on. If I could be reincarnated I would like to be a male human (I'm female unfortionitely =[). My reason for wanting to be a male would be because being a female is so complicated and maybe the males get it easy? I am not sure, I have never heard a male complain about being a male before unless they were going through a sex change or such. >.<

Asking Someone To Homecoming Only for U.S. kids in High School?
Frayed replied to beeseven's topic in General Discussion
The first time I ever heard about a Homecoming was on Saved By the Bell years ago (back when it was new ). I knew it was a dance and I figured they had it when I went to high school... boy was I wrong. In Canada it is really different compared to the U.S and their school traditions. We don't have a homecoming nor do I think we have a prom (not here atleast and in other places). I was quite disappointed because everyone made such a big deal about it on Saved By the Bell. I guess being the eldest child entering high school is rough because I thought it would all be liked Saved By the Bell.I have no clue what the history of the Homecoming ceremony is, I just know the name and that there is a dance involved. -
I am only on 1mb so 0%. I don't save my Junk Email at all. I usually delete my mail if it gets past 1 page of viewing unless I have important things I need to check for a quick referrence. Also I have three accounts so if I use them for various things. I am using my main gmail though for the percentage.

You know, I agree with you in not knowing what other point to listening to loud music is other then showing off. I personally like my music turned down, when anyone comes and tries to boost my volume up I can get really angry. It annoys me to listen to *Pump Pump* every time I go by someone with their music turned up so loud I bet they have bad hearing at this point. Isn't the point of headphones for personal use? I see no other point in having them if it's just to show off. I have used them so people don't hear my music when they sleep or are doing work... I guess maybe everyone is different?

I don't know. I have seen a couple sucessful online dating situations. My aunt and her husband have been together for ten years and I don't think there has been any trouble in their marriage yet. My cousin was dating a guy off the internet and they had a healthy relationship up until her death (She had Sleep Apnea). As for me marrying, I don't plan on it. This site definitely wouldn't be of any use for me at all. I don't even think I would date online just for the fun of it. I have heard horror stories relating to internet dating so I plan to stick as far as I can from it. I'd rather be with someone whom I can see and I have known in person with out the use of a modem and a hard drive. If it's safe then kutos to you finding a partner (if you're ready). Good luck.

I have listened to J-pop may times, but it's usually a different singer/band every time. I don't know any singer/bands names, only those of the songs I have heard on a few anime OST's. I never really listen to them, but they are really catchy and I could get a song stuck in my head for hours.

There is nothing I hate more then a group of students whom carry on loud, obnoxous, and pointless conversations while working. I am one who likes to eat, work, and sit in silence. I have taken on a nickname because of my ways, I am called a "Snob".If I was in your position; which I have been in many times. I would confront them. I would not resort to violence in any way or means because of their acts. I would ask them to keep me out of their conversations and ask them to quite down a bit because I am here for an education, not the 411 on what is going on with so and so. If confronting them doesn't work I will go to someone with higher authority them me; in your case it would be your teacher. The teacher should take some sort of action to stop what they're doing, or try to change the pattern by moving you.I do not agree with violence being a way to stop slander or chatter. It may only provoke them to keep on going. Also they may charge you, go to the principal, and on and on.Don't let their words get to you, if it's not true and you know it's not true it should not concern you in anyway or means. If it is true then politely ask them to mind their own business and what is going on in your life is nothing for them to worry about.I have no more steps if it isn't delt with by the time a teacher comes into the picture. If the teacher hasn't done anything about it then he/she isn't doing their job. School should be a place where people feel welcomed, safe, and happy. Not a place where you dread every moment you think about even the smallest thing regarding school. Taking it to the Principal may help.

British Columbia, Canada is my all time favorite place ever. I have been all over the province, and I have loved it all. I have loved the mountains ever since I was little. I lived in Maple Ridge, B.C when I was 3-5 and I feel like it's still my home. I would like to go back every year but it's only been every 3 years since I was 8. My second favorite place is New York. I like changing my surroundings because there are a lot of big cities where as my city only has 100,000 people in it... biggest in my province too. I also loved the shopping out there too, a lot of places with a lot of really nice clothes, shoes, and jewelry... but it's so EXPENSIVE! Great tourist attractions aswell, I have many pictures of my travels because I only used them on the attractions.

I absolutely hated Tripods service. The ads took up alot of room and it really didn't go along with the site. Now adays I believe their ads take up about 1/3's of the page on 800x600 resolution.I never used the site builder only because I was determined to make my own layouts without the help of a site builder. The uploading was a pain, I could NEVER find my files and I could never find my File Manager. Once I finally did find everything I was just fooling around and I had switched back to Geocities when the ads weren't as horrible.I still use a lot of their tools for this one site I own because my Guestbook gets to full and the site hosting my site is pretty stingy on what services I get. So in some ways it is helpful. I would definitely suggest Freewebs over Tripod any day. What I hate about that though is that you can only upload one file at a time and it can sometimes not have any progress on bigger files that never end up uploading.

I use to be aq big fan of wrestling. My whole family watches wrestling on the television, play the games on the gaming consoles, role play , and talk about so and so. I didn't start watching until I was about 13 years old... I think that was back when Stephanie and Triple-H were married (Heck I don't even know if their married or not so I'm guessing that they aren't). I stopped watching when I was 14 (he he) It wasn't a long fascination. I do still play wrestling on the gaming consoles though and pretend to wrestle around. The guys in my family including my younger sister are all rank wrestling fans, they watch it at any point they can. I never could get back into it.

I know that when me or whom ever I am with go to a drive thru we always come out of the line really angry. Either they get our orders wrong or they act as though we're doing them hardships by ordering. I believe that there is only one place that at least puts on a fake smile when taking our orders. Also that gets them right 9/10's of the time. Only because it's so expensive and they lose their jobs if they make even the tiniest mistake. Maybe it's the intercom? Maybe the bosses are real jerks (I've heard of ones places being one. Maybe our orders are too big? I mean when ordering for a family of 6... 4 of which are teens, that's like 14 meals there. Sometimes I could be ordering for just me... I could pay the right amount and get less then what I ordered. I have yet to complain to their employers, but I am sure that I'm not the only one that feels this way around here and someone has already beaten me to it.I don't know the reason why, I don't think it's because the people are spitful. I just think that their attitudes should change and maybe get the orders right MOST of the time.

I use 800x600 on a 17" monitor.I do rely on 1024x768 resolution though, it helps to use it so when designing a layout I won't get people coming to a disjointed webpage. Staying with the 1024x... is annoying for me though, I probably could get use to it because before I was using 640x480 on my previous computer because it wouldn't let me go any bigger so when being able to have 800x600 and doing it it wasn't so bad to get use to.

Mine is pretty plain. I had made a layout for a site using this image and I really liked the way the layout turned out so I did a duplicate version of this layout for my background. Here is my desktop: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/404.png

What a coincidence. I was just wondering that, I just saw it on a CD in my sisters room and I couldn't make out what it was.

I use to be a real regular in the MSN Chatrooms up until they made them 18+ and you had to pay to go into them. Anyways I was in a local chatroom and I started talking to this one guy, it was only because I was bored and I never really talked to people that werent "Owners" or "Hosts" because I knew all the people in the Canadian Chatrooms on MSN that ran rooms and I was always either hosting or an owner. Anyways back to my story... I was getting to a real interesting conversation and we became good chat buddies on my preferrenced IM program. One day we started talking about people we knew and it seemed that every person he knew I knew as well. So I figured that since we knew the same people we could meet. We set up a meeting at a party with a bunch of the same mutual friends and it turned out to be my boyfriend at the times brother. I had never known his email because we weren't really friends so it was really weird. We became best friends after that.I was also in the same chatroom and I started talking to a girl whom was pretty cool to talk to. I added her to my preferred IM program and I saw a picture of her and it turned out to be a girl I had known for over 10 years and was never friends with... we were in Kindergarden - Grade 8 together and went to the same highschool. We were friends for maybe two weeks after I found out who she was but then we had a fall out on this one girl who was a regular in this local chatroom that I didn't like and she liked whom also happened to go to my high school. To this day (this incodent happened about 3 years ago) I still haven't seen or talked to her.

Wow, it's going pretty fast for me. I was always moaning and groaning because of how slow firefox took for me. Thanks for the tip, it was greatly appreciated.

Honestly I see a bunch of kids almost every single day dressing up like that, I have absolutely no problem with it. In my mind I shouldn't judge or give others a label such as 'poser' or what ever. In my now former school they have so many different styles of apparel but in the end everyone treats everyone as an equal. I think that maybe that's why I don't believe in calling others posers or what ever kind of label people are trying to live up to.I'll admit that I was once like that though, I would sit in my corner of friends and talk about how so and so were such posers. I think that when my one friend told me that I shouldn't judge because they all of a sudden decide to dress in a certain way or do things in a certain way. I felt like an absolute prejudice which in reality I was. I was just as bad as a homophobic (which I am not!).

I am not a big candy fan but there is this one candy I crave so bad. The only time I can find them are at Halloween. It's this fruity Tootsie roll... mmm I'm just getting shivers thinking about them. I swear I make my mom buy these every Halloween for the kids and I always end up eatting them so we end up out of candy early. I have an addiction to Diet Coke though, it's really bad. I drink like a 2L a day or sometimes 3L's a day. If I don't get my coke fix I get really cranky. It's almost as bad as being addicted to cigarettes. I bet I've spent almost 600$ + a year just for Coke. I was never this way when I drank regular Coke, I drank it maybe twice a week. Now I go through a bottle like that. It's really disturbing... my friends always say "Jeez, you've always got a Coke" or "My God, slow down on the Coke".
