New Super PowerThe Next World Super Power?

United  Europe will be the next super power. I believe the UK will  have to make a decision in the up coming years to either support the US or the rest of Europe, if they choose Europe the US will find it hard to keep their hold on power

There are plenty of candidates.Could it be China, which has the biggest population and one of the fastest economic growth rates in the world? Could it be India, with over 1 billion people and a booming economy? Or, perhaps, it's an alliance of Middle Eastern nations, increasingly the recipients of great wealth. The fact is that the United States has already lost its economic preeminence to a rival superpower in the making.

OutsourcingThe Next World Super Power?Replying to Trap FeedBackerThe U.S. Outsources because people like you and me don't want to pay higher prices for whatever we buy. Take a walk in any mall in the U.S. And all you see is every store with huge banners that have these ridiculous percentage discount sales. Even after outsourcing, retailers cannot sell at the list or suggested manufacturers price. That sums it up for the next few generations atleast.-reply by Kevin

go for chinaThe Next World Super Power?I wouldn't go for india,India, while huge *bottom* in size, is much underdeveloped compared to china. Plus china is already trying to buy India's neighbours to turn against them, which will probably happen. As strong as India maybe, opposition from all the countries around it(yes ALL!! none of the neighbours like india)can't be healthy.Secondly, India is far far behind china, and it's constantly suffering from militant problem, pakistan, drought, famine etc etc. The military tech itself is far behind as well, they don't have the missile tech like china, and the only fire-arm india invented is a Ak-47 spin-off(called INSAS).And worst of all India is DIVIDED...Very divided indeed. It's a country with more than 10 languages(not sure of exact amount), and lots of diff ethnicities, none of whom want the other to prosper(this isn't like jersey vs NY types, it's more like S Korea vs and Korea type). The racial attacks and intolerance is extremely high, sikhs don't want hindus havin' all the power, muslims don't like that either, sikhs want their own area, muslims want kashmir, hyderabad(which was meant to be independent state, but captured during operation polo)etc etc. So one strike at the match by china, the whole joint can blow up any time. And I mean any time, Diversity is good, but diversity + hate + ignorant illiterate people like majority indians? VERY BAD. Heck the whole country has a very low literacy rate - and the govt counts the ability to sign your name as literacy...Which about 20% people cant do...And proper education? yeah right...Only 15% gets that.I'm not saying china is devoid of this problems... It has them too, but to a smaller extent compared to india, plus not much dodgy neighbours. China is trying to improve itself greatly, as for india, the speed is too slow. Articles from indians themselves proclaim that india is atleast 30 yrs behind china and slowing down, while china continues to get even faster.EU is a good option though, they're a extremely strong economical power already(and military).Japan is strong economically, I heard they're trying to change their constitution, so that they can take more aggressive role, that'd be bad news for all...Everyone knows jap soldiers are TOUGH AS NAIL...Good lordBrazil?? I'm not sure, dunno much abt them apart from that they're gettin strong economically.Right before I leave...Just gonna leave you with this - Russian armed forces is apparently growing now, economy is back on their feet as well, they have chance again, who knows maybe the world in future will be covered in RED...Seriously I don't mind commies...They're ok.Or maybe JUST maybe Eric Cartman will grow up and stop this nuisance, and we all will live happily ever after...Heil KITTY!-reply by justin

SuperpowerThe Next World Super Power?

[Replying to iGuest,8808,472209 So many people in the world want to write off the US. The US has time and time again proved to be very resilient. China will continue to grow. China's growth, while impressive, is only so because they had so far to go 10 years ago. It is easy to look good when you are starting at the bottom. In the mean time, the US is watching China's rise closely and reacting accordingly. As for India. It's rise, while also impressive to the lay person has many, many obstacles to clear before they can be considered a true power. The EU has become an impressive economic entity. Europe(other than the UK, and perhaps France) is extremely weak millitarily. They, by choice ignore military spending, while concentrating their monies on their socilaists economies. This has allowed nations like China and Russia, not to mention the US to remain well ahead of them millitarily. A liberal Europe that does not feel threatened, allows itself to remain vunerable to rising powers.I have read from to many people that they see the US as falling. I say to all of you that you are dead wrong. All nations go through periods of upheaval, and down turns. But the US will not fall, and much of the world that depends on the US for it's defense and it's economic power(Yes that is you Europe, and parts of Asia, and Africa, and South America) had better hope that the US does not fall, because consider the alternatives. Someone would fill the power vacuum. Chances are very good that it would be someone alot worse than the USA.

Next World PowerThe Next World Super Power?

Let's look at China for a moment, and take a look at their economy.  It has been surging for quite a number of years now, and it would need to continue to do so for at least another decade to get into the same ballpark as the USA.  USA's economy nets more capital than the next 5 countries combined.  No country has sustained the economic success China is having right now for much longer, and I doubt they will be an exception.  Also, their engineering and technology is still well behind that of the US and other industiralized countries.  I doubt China will reach a super power status within the next 50-100 years.

There are a few things that a country needs to do in order to attain a super power status.  The first is to have a steady and growing economy.  The United States is one of the most highly rich countries when speaking about products that are exportable.  Another thing required is to have significant control of the seas.  The USA has an almost total control of all watersand trade lanes across the world.  This does not happen overnight and was able to be accomplished by the USA after WWII and the defeat of Japan in the Pacific and the turning over of strategically placed naval and air force bases from England to the USA.

Another strong component that restricts countries from having a sphere of influence and growing into a super power, is th USA's strategic plans of prevening these from happening.  When people look at wars the USA is involved in, it does not matter if total victory is achieved.  The fact that we are able to create instability in an area prevents countries from establishing a sphere of influence and gaining power in an area.  The USA has only been a superpower for just over half a century, history has shown that this status is attainable for much longer, and no other country in history has had the control of the seas and trade lanes like the USA has today.  Not to mention, the technological development the USA is capable of.  Space is another factor to look at moving forward into the future.  The USA also has the most developed space capable technologies in the world, and it is not irrational to predict that war could fundamentally shift to space-based technologies in the future.  advanced surveillance, hypersonic missiles, and space stations could all be very real in the next 50 years, not to mention the possibility of energy production in space to the tune of electrical based microwaves transmitted from satellites to earth.

With that being said, I thing it will be very very very difficult for a nation to emerge as a super power under the watch of the very powerful USA.  Countries would need to build coalitions in order to challenge the USA for a sphere of influence in a particular area, and as was stated earlier, it is in the USA's strategy and best interests to not allow this to happen.

With no explanation behind it, the countries I think that will have the best chance of emerging in the 21st century are: Japan, Turkey, Poland.  If anyone who reads this would like an explanation, say so and I will provide one.

United WorldThe Next World Super Power?

U. S. Of A is definately current superpower right now with its undoubted expense into military equipment.  Tho people saying China, India, Russia, or EU might be the next superpower when US falls...  China would undoubtly a strong candidate for that.  China is one of the oldest countries with richest history and the best environments of the world... They were the very first ones to explore the world (yep not christopher coloumbus, and the emperor was not happy about what he found from other countries, due to the technical advance of the current empire, he ordered to destroy all ships for further exploration).

Speak from a perspective of a chinese person (me) I would be extremely proud if China would succeed in leading the world but in the same time have some serious concern about this issue... First of all EU and other american/british colonized countries will feel threaten, everyone will be afraid their country will turn socialist, and possible threats to taiwan territory (yes I believe they are only a territory because they are a part of china).  And possibly seek revenge to the japanese people.

In truth, I would rather have U.S. Be the world no.1 power, speaking from a chinese person perspective... Since there are huge corruption problems in China, not because they are a bad country, but it has being pass down since the dynasty era... Its hard to change old habits when you're thounsands of year old.

As someone mentioned japan being the no.1 power, that's never going to happen, its true they are technologically advanced, but with their current problems with china they will not be able to raise to the top of they don't be truthful to their history and admit their fault for massacring millions of chinese people.

India, is also a great country with a lot of hard working people, but the country itself as people have mentioned is too diversed...

I would agree EU being a good choice, but I stand by my opinion as U.S. Being the best current candidate.

Iran has a good chance of becoming a next superpower in middle of 21st century. Infact any future super power is going to be an Energy Superpower, (google it) and Iran is positioning itself to be just that. Besides it has the fastest growth rate in science and technology has a young population of 75 million which is going to become 125 million by mid century and lastly has the ambition to be a superpower which is very important.Though India and China are great but they do not seem to have any ambition to be a superpower, have a large population which is basically slowing them down and are net energy importers

Its uncertain but clealy China and India has the upper hands. The Next World Super Power?

Well, its hard to tell which of these countries (I.E-China, Russia,Japan,EU,Brazil or India) will become a superpower in next 20-30 years ,beside USA which is the only superpower remaining in the whole world.Since after the cold war Russia is no more a superpower...Lets see how much chances the above countries have to emerging as superpower. ##(1)China- The chances are highest as it is the fastest growing (both economically & militarilly) country in the present world with largest population. Its well developed in space research and nuclear capability. But the chances will remain high as long as china will remain as a stable and integrated country politically and economically. ##(2)Russia- Russia's chances are low despite it was a superpower before coldwar and being one of the millitarilly strongest country in world.Because its economy is nota good1 on growing scale and it would become even low as time passes because one of its ecomical strenth..That is oil,gas and natural resources willdepleated. So, becoming a superpower without a very healthy economy is not possible in my opinion. ##(3) Japan- It has a high potential to become superpower if its economy can come on tracks from previously derailed one from last few years. This country has the ability to make things possible which seems impossible technologically. They holds one of the most strongest navy, airforce& army. But lack of nuclear power is one big disadvantage.  ##(4)EU- Chances are very much uncertain as its very difficult to ran as a union in a long run basis though it is one of the most richest association of countries both in worth and in military power. ##(5)Brazil- Its also a rapidly grwing countryin both econimical andin millitary prospect. But...Thebig disadvantages are lack of good space and nuclear research. ##(6) India- Actually it has the second or third highest chance of becoming a superpower in next 20 years, because of its booming economy(2nd fastest growing..Fastest being china),great stability(largest democracy in world),very good millitary power & will become one of the worlds strongest in next 10 years, and it also have nuclear power(6th country of nuke club) and through ongoing space research programmes,it hold its foot as a good contender of becoming a superpower.   S0,I personally believe that highest chances are in between china and indian in context of next 20 to 25 years...But china has clearly the upperhand if its a question of a single next country becoming a superpower.

India and ChinaThe Next World Super Power?

Well, according to meIndiaAndChinaAre the next superpowers if they can prosper peacefully.India is aGreat democratic country and china is a relatively huge country and both haveLarge international markets. Both countries have the will power to become aSuperpower. Both have good military strength. The space programs of both theCountries are massive. Their technology is good and they have a large number ofEducated workforce. But the thing is that they must be peaceful and must notThink in terms of war. Someone here said that china is gettingIndia?sNeighbors turned up against it. What will it cost? Nothing. Neighbors shouldNot come in betweenIndiaAndChinaAs they will be destroyed. And with a warIndiaAndChinaBoth will have maximum damage with both nations having their nuclear powers; This will destroy them becoming a world super power. Though Un will never letIt happen. But if it happens neither china norIndia can be world super powers. SoWar is not an option. They should prosper peacefully through better trades etc.India has its problem andChina has itsProblems. But if both of them settle peacefully and share their military andEconomic strength they are sure to be a superpower. All of the neighbors ofIndia andChina do not have enough power toDefeat even one of them. So both must cooperate. The problems that come upShall be solved by peaceful negotiations. And someone here also said aboutIndia?sDiversity. It?s a boon toIndiaAs millions of people visitIndiaTo see the varied diversity thus giving its economy a boom. Moreover, Hindus, Muslims,Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains etc live harmoniously withinIndia andRespect each other. Occasionally some conflicts pop up which are solvedPeacefully. These conflicts help us understand each other better. And terrorismIf Pakistani invaders continue to terrorize the world andIndia, theProblem shall be soon solved. In terms of energy I think both nations should putUp lots of tidal power plants. TheyMust take help of each other. They must bring better means of transport and other systems.

With this I conclude and prefer peace as the only way ofTheir becoming a world super power. Any other opinions?

I think that countries like China and India will have more clout in the worlds economies, especially China. The Chinese are spreading their tenticles all over the world. Even where I live, a small island od 25.000 in population we have about 40-50 Chinese stores selling all their cheap products. This happened in the last 8-10 years. How on earth they managed to immigrate into Europe is beyond me. The same is hapenning all over the world especially in Africa. But Europe, the USA and Japan will allways be strong economies, with China and India making part of the Top 5.

Next world super powerThe Next World Super Power?

Many times we ignore the most importat part of life and man...The origin of man and Biblical prophecies. USA is a God choosen world super power and the fulfilment of God's prophecy was seen when Sadam Hussian was killed like a common thief. It was written that the a man will rise to rebuild the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar and he will be distroyed. God used George W. Bush to fulfil that prophecy. But today, due to disobedience, the love of God is fading from America...As the country has become the founder of every evil and atrocities we can think of today. Legalising atrocities into her system and Now, God will take out His glory from America and send it to the most wicked people on earth. I am not a racist but I share say it as I saw it... I've been to almost all Asia and I can authoritatively tell you that India and China is the most wicked country you can ever visit. Some of their people are welcoming but don't let them bring out the animals in them.

However, from every indication, millitary, economy, peoples power, technology, money, just name anything else that could lift a country to world super power, China has all of it. We are just waiting for the due time. China will become the world super power but they wont LAST. And under Chinese reign will the world see hell on earth.

India on the other hand is a beautiful contender but wont surpass China. EU has little or no chance because its a union that wont stand the test of time.

Luxemburg will come after the chinese reign. And America will disintegrate.

Good luck people and may God in His infinite mercy help us.

we can still do something about it.The Next World Super Power?

Many things can happen from here until 2020, but aside from thinking that china will be the next world super power we also have keep in mind that the U.S. Has been in everyone's business for most of its existance upon this earth. The United States has been able to help settle a great many conflicts around the world as well as it has made a few worse. So the question here is, if the United States declines assuper power will China, or whom ever takes our spot, have the capability of renduring aid to countries around the world or do enough to help third world countries as we have for so long? And what will happen to democracy here at home and around the world? These two questions we got to keep in mind, as well as others, and not just criticise our government. We have to think about future generations and the future of our country, The United States of America, all that we have been. Do we want that light to keep shining or does it not matter anymore? We must do something for the future of democracy. (comments welcome to vam121892@gmail.Com).

I think India will take over china in next 15 -20 years and will be a superpower country. I have worked with lot of young Indians , they are hardworking and smart...and i believe in next 20 young Indians population will be more than china. China is growing strong but country does not look stronger in international politics due to communism.

Don't be foolish, China and India will never be Super Power. They are third world countries and will stay like that. Don't forget China export most of their weapons from France and India nuclear program in under british control. so they are still some colonies where you can get cheap labor. Its obvious France and Germany will form one nation, the US, Uk and Canada another. Thus isolating Russia. Russia will become a third world countries in the next coming years since the oil wont have an economic impact no more.

Ha haaaaaaaaaa, You perhaps forgot the USA once used to be a part of Great Britain!!!!!! USA after 20 years will still remain a influential state but please dont think that others countries cant come forward. India and China, they have impressive economic growth. They are also having almost 50% of the world population and most of them are young (15-35 years). In next 20/30 years most of the people of Europe and USA will be old enough to sustain themseleves in an efficient way. ha haaa, you are really funny. Who told you that indian nuclear power is under UK control? India/ China are the countires who didnt sign NPT.
