The "cyber" Thing Relationships on the Net

Recommended Posts

There is nothing wrong with Internet datingI mean I have done it before and one time it lasted for 4 months

Rawr.. my old post

It's not just internet dating now.. it's the "lies". People tend to lie about who they are and what they look like and taking pictures of google sending it to you and stuff. It's cool that you can be who you want on the internet but it's a bit mean to the person your lying to..

When I mean internet dating.. I mean as in just online.. and not meeting... I mean it's like that on cokemusic. It's sort of sad. People like just go 'looking for a girlfriend' there.

I didn't say you can't make friends online.. I didn't say you can't date online either. I'm just saying I don't like it. I don't mind having friends online because it gets you sort of socialising with people from around the world and stuff and I have online friends.. (I think) it's just the whole not meeting someone and dating them thing I'm not too keen about.

Match.com is ok. As those are people who are probably going to meet and start dating in real life.

Oh and I've even heard of internet weddings

Cyber and online relationships are two different things. Cyber is a form of online sex where you type what you're doing. An online relationship is pretty much the same as a long distance relationship except you most likely have not met the person yet. (Some long distance relationships are the cause of one of the people in a relationship having to temporarily move somehwere because of family, a job, or college.)You can meet someone in a chatroom and get together but that doesn't mean the relationship is serious. Sometimes young people meet someone online just to be able to say that they have someone because they feel left out if they don't have someone. As for online dating when referring to dating sites, I think they are the worst thing ever invented because the person puts on their profile what they like and don't like. You never really know what you'll like in a person until you've seriously dated someone with that quality.

Internet is just 'reality' really, i mean look how many cases these days do you hear about a 'gold-digger' or some guy exploiting a women, and the fact is it happens on the interenet 24/7. Where ever you go your at risk of being 'played', but the main problem comes with people new to the internet get played worse, and i can tell a first time computer user miles away just by the way they type, talk, and ask for help to do something.

Relationshipson the net.The "cyber" Thing

I met my partner on the net. We lived 300 miles apart but we now live together. We have been togather for 2 years and getting married next year. At the time is was exciting but looking back I wouldn't do it again if I was single. I gave up alot to be with him and I took alot of risks, I still can't believe I agreed to meet up with him. If anyone does do it just be careful and check the person out before you meet them. We were talking for 6 months before we met up and that includes on the phone. Also remember if they ask for a 'sexy pic' it may just end up all over the net!!
