This is an excellent idea! Now just think: Every single one of us users donating, say 10megs of our storage. It isn't much at all but if Opaque would agree to take that 10 megs from each of us who agree to the idea, and add it to a storage-storage bin, we should end up with like 2 gigs of space just for the game. I'm not sure if that's all we're considering but this could be an add-on to the current IPB gaming boards but instead, it's an MMORPG. Anyone have any ideas?

The source code of the site actually reveals that he set the table width to be 100%. What i see here in fact, is a conjunction of CSS and tables. The problem only occurs after the quote box. Try to lower its size and match that with the extra div tags you added up on top of the page. If possible, play around with the padding of .quotetop and .quotemain a little, they might be the cause of the problem. Also, back down towards the part of the code right after the quote, you started doing this: <[b]div[/b] align="justify"> <p> <br> <br> This is cast every 2 seconds on everyone in a 100 yard radius within Firemaw's Line of Sight. It is not dispellable and can stack as many as 50 times. Therefore, people will need to be smart about it as they DPS. In the end the tanks will probably end up with around +3000 fire damage.<br> <br>While before u were using the <p align="justify"> tag. Why don't u switch it to using the p tag? This is just a suggestion though, I'm not exactly sure if its because of this. Try the quote size pic change first before this. Also, this problem only occurs in IE, not exactly sure why but IE has always been code buggy...

The words "VISIONANIME" looks fine to me. I would take out the Gundam mobile though and leave big-swordie-guy-from-naruto in there (Oh right, Zabuza). I've always have had problems like these so now i just stick to simple text as a header or just a bar through the top with some fancy font lettering. It's all about the font when you're designing a header, remember that.

It'll be impossible for a dog to sniff out one person's luggage for stupid CDs. If you think about by the fact that at least thousands of people (ok so maybe hundreds) do have some CDs or a CD album. How's the dog supposed to sniff out everyone? Unless of course, they bring in a hundred dogs which will be impossible yet again because we have to take into the point that some people have allergies or just detest dogs.Yet again, why would anyone illegally "smuggling" copyright material carry a huge stack of the CDs in his/her luggage? A master copy's all you need to burn it all away into other CDs.Not a very smart idea at all from the company(s)' part i think. It would be more preferrable if the dogs are used in sniffing out small pirated CD stores which are EVERYWHERE in China.

Hmm...the last time i remember of invisionboards is that if you want to update the banner the easy way, you just replace the GIF file in the directory. M^E might need to do some extra editing of the main index.php file, which I'm sure must be cake to him. I will stretch it out banner sized nonetheless. EDIT: M^E, could you provide me with the length of the entire banner up top? It is impossible for me to guess because the banner isn't one entire thing, but separate chunks of the same image repeated over and over again.

I actually saw this on a video once but i forgot where and how.... Though I'd suggest that you show the easier method of multiplying 11s first, that is, using 2 digits.Say you have the number 43 and you want to multiply it with 11. All you have to do is 4+3=7. Then add 7 between the 2 digits and you get your answer 473! Of course, this will only work as easy as this if you have 2 digits that add up to less than or equal to 9. Anymore than 10 you will have to carry over the extra 1.

Hey guys! Thought maybe i should give it a try since I've tried doing this once before in phpBB. I saved it in GIF format too since, well i think this is what standard banners in invisionboards are. I also blended in the background colors of the Ambience colors but totally redid the text. Finally, of course, i have to cut out Xisto's prize trademark which needed a little touching up because of the different shade of color when transferring to the new banner. Please give me some comments on this thanks! EDIT: Oh, and i realized too that i'm unable to switch to the Ambience skin. Just to let you know, but i DO remember that seriously cool skin. I wonder how many people had to switch to the lite version just because of it being so graphics heavy lol.

Back at Nitemare:Don't flame in this forum, even though its a mild flame like you did. Last i played it, the jackets are for the people who actually pay real money for the game. I can tell the guy and the girl spent a heck of alot of money just for wearing those suits. (and removing them too)

Seriously gameshn, there's no point in keep telling us to support hacking and that you're a hacker. Once is enough. I guess i could give it a go but i never tried this before. The closest I've got to even changing my PC drastically was "attempting" a login screen change. But that didn't work. Luckily i backed it up. If you can somehow teach me to do change it i'll be so glad.Though after looking through all that code i can see its a risk to take if I'm new to this. So I don't think I'm even gonna try. Especially after my computer just recovered from major problems.

I think I've got it right now roggle. I installed the nVIDIA again and reinstalled ATI. I'm not sure if its going to have more issues again but at the moment it seems sound. Here are the BIOS pics u requested. They're all in order. Like i said, it looks NOTHING like the BIOS i saw in that compaq site. Maybe i need a BIOS upgrade..?

Trust me, if you bought the Visiontek, stick with it. Just trust me on this one seriously. Just look at what kind of issues I've got just by buying the stupid ATI Radeon 9250.You probably have like a remake of the 9250. Visiontek might be part of Sapphire technologies since ATI is part of it. Or is it vice versa? Hmm..

I'm really surprised to see such a simple website as a clansite. I mean, for all the clansites I've been in, they've always been graphics heavy and all. It took me barely a second to load that page and i love simplicity. Great organization, simple B/W color scheme. It could probably do (like everyone else has said) with a little more touchup. A graphic border on the sides of the site would be nice. Overall i like it. P.S I would recommend though, that you skin the pbpBB forum to match that of the clansite, though i know you're "lazy ATM"

Thanks roggle. No the red blinking light thing started long before i began trying to fix this whole mess. It may have something to do with the AGP card. I don't know but when i remove the card, the computer still starts up with the red light. I came back from school today and realized my computer didn't work again even though i thought i managed to fix it yesterday. I did a series of test runs and in the end i just had to run smack into my bed, cry into my pillow and sleep. Now i'm up and i wrote a report on what i did basically. I'm going to quote it here: That's about it. I think my only options left here are to either get a new PC or do a complete re-partitioning of my hard drive (which includes partitioning the hard drive at least 7 times over which'll probably take 7 hours). *sigh* Not once have i ever bought a hardware product and got it to run smoothly. Not ONCE in my life.....Why can't i just be like everyone else who just buys a hardware and leaves happy? EDIT: That reminds me roggle. I think i didn't read your question fully. I believe i DID remove and put the Radeon card a couple times before and the power light started showing these weird "symptoms" if that's what you want to call it. Nonetheless, the red light appears anyway even without the card.

I recently bought an ATI Radeon 9250 256mb, my computer comes with an nVIDA nforce chipset (Driver: nVIDA Geforce 2 Integrated GPU, VGA compatible). It worked great at first but later i started having problems. Logan (Deathbringer) helped me get it working again...sortof. What he told me to do was to uninstall the previous nVIDA drivers and use a driver cleaner to erase everything the uninstaller did not. It made sense, then i was to put the Radeon card in, start in safe mode and uninstall the Radeon drivers and clean off all the ATI drivers using the DC again. I restarted the computer normally and installed the latest ATI catalyst drivers from the website. I restarted the computer again. I guess running the computer is fine, except i noticed a few issues:1. Whenever i minimize a window (the third button from the top right hand corner), I'll see that little animation bringing the window down, but the screen will just hang there for a second before actually minimizing. 2. After installing the ATI drivers and restarting, i kept getting an error message saying the driver restarted itself because of a problem. 3. Whenever the computer starts and goes into the login screen, it'll sortof "fade" right? Well my screen will have like a normal screen (Windows is Starting screen), then a half-grey normal screen, then the login screen. All within a half a second of each other.Before, all i had to do was remove the ATI card, and everything ran smoothly again. Now even if i remove it I'll get these poor animation problems. Probably because i removed the nVIDA drivers. What i didn't clean from the driver cleaner though, was the one marked "nforce chipset". Is this necessary?Also, everytime i start my computer, the "power light" beside my "power button" turns red instead of green and starts blinking. The monitor shows nothing at all. I have to turn it off and turn it on again. (And one press of the power button will do it, instead of pressing and holding it) I've been having so many problems with this i hope anyone can help me, the forum in Sapphire technologies website didn't even bother. Nice link WeaponX. I'll be sure to try it out sometime. I especially like the point about disabling ads for certain membergroups. That certainly caught my eye. I agree that Sid's explanation of how to put Adsense ads on SMF forums is simple and brief. I like it and it could be used to substitute other stuff in there too, such as an "Affliate bar" maybe.

I like the banner, and i joined the forum xD. The White doesn't really bother me much, it makes the banner look more icey. What i don't really like though and i find it the hardest to do, is making the banner "blend" into the website. At the moment, no offence, but it looks like just another pic stuck onto a webpage. I always have problems with this and i can never really help it. I think a really good example of being able to fit and "blend" the banner into the page would be that of http://www.mugglenet.com/ Although it isn't perfect and there probably are better ones out there (I thought this off the top of my head), i think the way they made it curly at the bottom gives it the "all important 1px black border around a sig" look. Why don't you try doing that? Maybe it'll look better.

Well i guess I'm a little too lazy to quote but in response to the few posts about having webhosts suddenly disappear off the face of the earth, i would VERY like to mention one that i was just about one of the first few members to join. I was a really dedicated poster and kept the posts up and coming. The name of the webhost is called zer0host. At the beginning, it was great. Actually fantastic! They had everything Xisto provides and more space than what Xisto provides, unfortunately, my guess is that this extra space is their downfall. A few days before the server "crashed" and they never put it up again, i experienced lots of problems upload files. I was in contact with one of the moderators of the forum (yeah they have a forum where you have to post to earn a hosting account too) and he told me to not worry, that the server will be back up soon but for me to backup my files just in case. Now i truly thank him for the hint, becuase the next day their website disappeared. Just point blank gone. At first thought i hovered over the idea of me typing the wrong domain name which is impossible because I've been with them for 2 months, how could i type it wrong? No worries, i Google searched zer0host. It worked, and the link to the site on Google is still there but the site cannot be accessed. Everything was gone 'cept for everything i backed up. I was really disappointed because zer0host was growing into a really large community. I think their other problem was unecessary sign ups. You needed hmm...i think it was 50 or 100 posts before you get a hosting account. After that you can basically stop posting. Xisto did this before too, and suddenly you find people with 10 posts just hanging there. So our wonderful Asta admins came up with the hosting credits idea. I don't mind it one bit, but i really thought zer0host could've survived more if it had adopted the hosting credits idea earlier. There was also alot of spam in the board with only 1 or 2 mods who really bothered to clear it. Even some topics opened with words like "hi" in them which is already 1 post. The problem hereis that the admins and mods don't approve the accounts one by one. Once you get a 100 posts who go to the IPB store and get a key which you use to open up an account in their server. I thought it was pretty interesting but what the heck...now its gone.A month till then, i found Xisto and started posting here. Remarkably, i found Xisto quite similar to zer0host's beginning structure and (sorry to say this but) i had some doubts about Xisto too in the first place. Nonetheless, i found the environment quite refreshing and there's a huge variety of topics to post in. And unlike zer0host, Xisto is an "extension" of a paid hosting site which pretty much means that Xisto is being run by a true company dedicated to providing web hosting. My instincts proved right and Xisto has lasted extraordinarily well all the way, and i am sure Xisto will be there all the way.

When i want to find these types of programs i always go to majorgeeks.com as my first resource. Past the years they have never failed me into providing a good mirror or finding some simple tool program. I'm not sure if its at majorgeeks.com at all now because i can't check at the moment. But you might want to try it and see. When i want to lock a folder, i dig deep into my c drive, save it there, and hide it. It's the only other way i can think of.

Well, what I'm actually thinking here is of course, when a user types a keyword and your website appears as the "I'm feeling lucky" page, the user expects the site to have many hits and the website itself to be informative and has some meaning to it. I'm not saying yours or anyone else's doesn't but if you're trully willing to go to all sorts of trouble and submit a link to your site everywhere then I should think your website should be of good quality and not some site put together in a few minutes.

Cheers to pyost! I'm glad that the keyboard started working for you. I'm seriously thinking of getting a new keyboard for me because I'm getting really tired of SMACKING the keys down on my keyboard. Although of course, i absolutely love the feel of actually pressing down the keys because its solid (and old), when i use my dad's laptop, my typing just flows and i usually make less mistakes because the buttons are thin and small and thus won't block my fingers from going over them. I'm thinking of getting a keyboard like a laptop but then again, i may as well get a laptop?

Download some templates already done for WordPress and observe the code. In no time, creating templates would be a snap.
