Embedding Javascipt Into Wordpress Posts
Nelson Blogs replied to Nelson Blogs's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Sorry for not being clear in my topic above. I need javascript in a single post, not all of them. I cannot put it in the footer or the header because then it would become site-wide. Thank you so much for your help -
I was wondering if there was any way to embed some javascript code into a WordPress post? ?I try and put the code into my post but all that it does is display the code text. ?I tried to look for a plugin but I had no luck finding one.

Computer Addicts Anonymous We know who you are
Nelson Blogs replied to Jonnyabc's topic in Health & Fitness
I was once a computer addict. I wasted all my junior high years on the computer. I was addicted to video games, chatting, etc. I was attached to the computer and know it or not, my attitude become more aggressive over time. I was completely ignorant of what was going around too. I did not listen to my body. I did not know if I was hungry until my parents told me to get off the computer. After I got off of the computer, I would start munching on snacks not knowingly. I did not notice this until a few weeks later when my parents saw that I was always hungry right after I went off the computer. I would eventually get a bladder problem because I never get up to use the restroom. It is different now for some reason. I can get off the computer whenever I want. I have had more self control than ever. I think the main reason for this is that I have gotten bored of all of the MMORPG's on the internet. I just can't DL one and play it for more than a few hours. I only go on the computer for about 1-2 hours now. On my "off time", I will usually be found at my friend's house or just out of the house in general. I started this transition ever since I have entered high school. I have been given more freedom so I take it and use it.I have learned a lot in the past years I was addicted to computers though. I learned a little bit of C++ and scripting languages like AutoIT3. When I was in fifth grade, I started hacking a game called Maplestory and in 6th grade, I developed my own script to hack Neopets. I learned to use it with my music in 7th and 8th grade when I used FL Studio and Cubase to record some of my music. The computer is still very distracting, however, even with my more improved "self-control". When I am doing homework, I always find a way to use the computer to help me complete my homework. I get no where with this. I always end up getting carried away on facebook or doing something else.I think the problem for most people is self-control. They can't get off the computer when they need to. Parents will limit the time on which their children will be allowed to be on the computer but once the kid moves out, parents will not be there anymore. Computers are fascinating and fun so people use them. I really think that it is also about the person's upbringing also. If kids are open to lots of outdoor and fun activities, they are less likely to become addicted to computers. This is why parents should be more lenient about letting their kid go to their friend's house or go out. -
"Yellow" and welcome to Xisto. I am sure you will find this place to your liking. The first things that you want to do here is sign up at the Xisto billing site so you can link your forum account to the billing account to start earning myCENT which can be used to purchase various hosting packages offered by Xisto. When you sign up at the Xisto billing site, make sure that you sign up with the same exact email address that you used to sign up at this forum. Without the same email address, the two accounts will not link. After you have signed up at Xisto billing, your accounts will link after you have made 5 quality posts. To earn myCENT, you basically need to stay active on this forum and post. When you post, myCENT is calculated by the quality of the post your make, not the quantity so don't think that if you make lots of bad posts you can earn myCENT quickly.Xisto has a large variety of different categories you can post in so I recommend that you pick out a few categories that you are interested in and follow them. ?You say that you are a Java developer. ?You can also sign up at a forum called Xisto and you can earn myCENT from both of these forums. ?If you do sign up there, you should remember to sign up with the same email address.Hope to see more of you here at Xisto!

Thank you guys for confirming the 777 situation. I was wondering which file permission I should change this to. I am not very good with messing around with them so I need help.
-
I think you want to turn this into a picture full of ascii letters. You can look up ascii converters on Google and eventually, you will find the one that you need.

I am not really in much favor of this new feature that Google has created. This is another micro-blogging service like Twitter or Facebook. I would rather stick with twitter and facebook than use Buzz. I do not have many friends that use GMail so I find no use for it. I think it would be great for businesses and organizations. Members can post stuff, share, and give updates on what is going on. They should really add this to Google Apps.

I was creating my .htaccess for my wordpress blog. ?From one source, I was told to make the file permissions 777. ?I did some extra research and found some article that said that 777 file permissions were very dangerous and can make your site vulnerable to hacker attacks. ?I was wondering I should leave my .htaccess at 777 or change the permissions to some other value. Thanks for your time!

Haha, this reminds me of the facebook group that I have joined a few months ago: "On 1/1/2013, I will watch 2012 and laugh." The world is not really going to end in 2012. It is just a prediction made thousands of years ago. Indeed, the Mayan calendar ends December 21, 2012. This is just like how the calendars on your wall end on December 31. I bet that the Mayans ended the calendar on December 21, 2012 because a Winter Solstice takes place and it marks the completion of a "great cycle" of thirteen b'ak'tuns (periods of 144,000 days each). Again, this is probably another Y2K or the 6/6/06 incident when everyone was freaking out.

A few days ago, my friend and I were talking about InfoLinks and Kontera. ?We were looking on their websites and found out that before you can get your first payment, you need to send in a Tax ID Form. ?I noticed that this is only required for people living in the United States. ?Is it possible to change your country during registration to avoid having to send in tax forms? ?If you have a U.S. paypal account, will they bounce the payment? Thanks for you help!

Welcome to Xisto. I am also from Earth. I agree with fermin25. You should never copy and paste an article onto Xisto. Consequences will not be very helpful. To prevent getting negative myCENT or warnings or even getting banned, be sure to read the forum rules and terms. You can find the link to the rules and terms on the sidebar on the forum homepage. Usually, moderators will be lenient about your mistake the first time you commit it but try not to forget the rules. After you have signed up for both your forum account AND the xisto billing account with the SAME email address, the accounts will link. You should have made five quality posts before the myCENT will show on your account. Everytime you earn 100 myCENT, $1 USD will be deposited into your billing account for hosting packages and you will be notified via email.

Physics Behind The Lightsaber Can it become true
Nelson Blogs replied to Amadeus1405241494's topic in Science and Technology
I believe that such things as lightsabers will be developed but I don't think that they will look like what the lightsabers look like the the Star Wars movies. The light sabers might look different and will probably not have the sound effects on them. The physics behind the lightsaber: you could read all of the other posts about physics and chemistry of the lightsaber or... you can just accept that the physics of the lightsaber hides in Adobe After Effects. -
Let us enter my fantasy world for a few minutes.? Let think about what lies beyond the solar system right now.? Let us not think about hate comments after reading this.? Think about these following questions in your head.? After the questions, I will give my own opinion about each of the questions.? Do you believe in life existing beyond our solar system?? I believe that there is life that is found in other solar systems.? The universe is a pretty large and I bet that there are tons of different life forms everywhere.? Some are probably thinking the same questions that we are thinking.? Maybe some of the other life forms have discovered each other. How intelligent do you think the life forms are? Do you think that they are smarter or dumber?? I believe that some life can be smarter than us humans but most of the other life forms are probably dumb.? As in dumb, I mean illiterate, ignorant, etc.? Sort of like sheep.? Maybe some life forms out there have developed technology that you have seen in Star Trek or something.? What if someone is looking at Planet Earth through some advanced telescope? Do you think that someday, we will be able to meet some other life forms?? I do not think that we will be able to encounter them in this generation but maybe in later generations.? They may not greet us nicely.? They might throw a full invasion on us unexpectedly or have them wipe us out in a few seconds.? Maybe someday, a UFO will come falling down and see one of these.? Do you believe that humans will ever befriend any of these life forms? Do you think that humans will be able to inhabit other planets such as Venus or Mars?? Sooner or later, the human population will grow so much that the Earth will not provide enough space for the population.? The human population is growing exponentially whether we know it or not.? Around 1750, the Earth had about one billion people on this earth.? By the year 2050, we expect to have around ten billion humans walking around everywhere.? We are also depleting our resources rapidly. Do you think that humans could develop some type of device to generate resources? How big could other life forms be?? Could they be as large as dinosaurs or small like flies?? What if those life forms were even larger than dinosaurs? Do you think that there are such things as wormholes that can make space travel faster?? I bet that it would be extremely dangerous.? Do you think that wormholes could provide ways of time travel?? There may be such thing as a fourth dimension.? Possibly a fifth or sixth.? The universe is extremely big.? The universe measures billions/trillions of light years.? Maybe the universe is infinite.? Who knows?? Could there be no end to the universe?? We live in the Milky Way galaxy.? The milky way galaxy is extremely large and could take light 100,000 years to travel through it.? The solar system is a microscopic spec when looking at the milky way.? Also, there are millions and trillions of galaxies existing throughout the universe. I want to hear your ideas on this subject.? What do you think about this.? Do you think any of this is possible?? Do you think I am crazy?

I do not believe that robots and humans will ever marry each other. It is not normal. Robots can not have feelings built into them because it is impossible. They can be built to look like a human, talk somewhat like one, but they do not have the traits of a human. Humans can touch, feel, etc. If a robot steps on a needle, it doesn't yelp. I doubt that it will do anything. The robot can be programmed to say something after an event has happened but that would make the robot fake. I doubt that robots will ever be able to love anyone and I doubt that they ever will be able to. They can say affectionate things like "I love you" but it does not have the same effect that a human saying it would. The only people marrying robots would probably be loners who can't find anyone to love. I do agree that robots can be used for pleasure however. There are many robots existing today that already do this. I just don't think that robots and humans will ever be able to fall for each other.

That is true but, according to Nexon Maplestory's Terms of Service, private servers are not allowed to exist. I agree with you though. They should have created a better Terms of Service. Some private servers that have their own terms of service even put on this statement that you had to agree to before you could accept the ToS and enter the site. If OdinMS had done this, they would not have been fined 350 million euros which is equivalent to almost half of a million dollars in USD terms (480k). Now OdinMS has a donation box on their website and the owners are probably pretty pissed.

I think the game is pretty decent. I first played it when my friend threatened me to download the trial. The graphics are great. I really think that the public quests are neat. There is a demo that you can play for free forever. I hate how you have to pay a monthly fee in order to play the full version though. Maybe someday, the game will become a F2P (free to play game) like Rose Online became. IT was once a pay-to-play game and then became a free-to-play game later.Warhammer has pretty interesting quests. There is not many grinding quests and they are kind of fun. Each quest is sort of unique. There are lots of PvP that you can do to reduce the length of grinding you do.I think one of the best features about Warhammer is the fact that there is Realm vs Realm fighting. There are two sides in which you can choose. It is sort of like Romeo and Juliet's Capulet and Montague except for the two sides are called Order and Destruction.I would rate the game 8.5/10 overall. The game is pretty good. The game isn't as much fun until you get to tiers 2+ when you become high leveled with mounts and whatnot. There are a variety of classes in which you can choose from. Within these classes, there are characters that specialize in different skills like tanking, DPS, etc.

I'm A Little Lost: MapleStory Or RuneScape ?
Nelson Blogs replied to cassie1405241527's topic in Computer Gaming
Maplestory all the way. The graphics are better than Runescape. The game is a 2D side-scrolling game though. It is not in 3D like Runescape is. Maplestory is more of a grinding game though. You can do more in Runescape but I think that it is more repetitive. I have played Maplestory for 4 years and I think that it has changed a lot since I first began. I estimate that there are ten times more features than there were when I had first started. You can expect more features later on. There are usually events every month. There are unique features such as the family system, pet system, etc. You can choose to either grind or socialize. There are many party quests that can help reduce grinding but they can be hard to get into depending on which server you play on. There are many classes including Warriors, Magicians, Archers, and Theives. Each of these classes have many subclasses. There are also exclusive classes such as the Aran class and the Cygnus Knight classes that have just recently come out.Runescape is played in a browser with not-so good graphics. Maplestory requires a download. About four years ago, the download was about 300 MB. Now, the download is about 2 GB. You can expect the download to increase to 4 or 5 GBs in a few years because of all the new items, maps, and features coming out. I guess it really depends on your preference. I personally prefer downloadable games as they are usually better in quality. If you do not really mind horrible graphics, you can try playing Runescape. If you play Runescape, then you are required to pay a monthly fee if you would like to play with the extra features. Maplestory is free but it has something called a cash shop where players can buy "fashion" clothes with real money. The cash shop also has 2x exp and item cards too to help you grind. I personally think that the Cash shop thing is better. I rarely pay for it with real money. There is a feature called Maple Trading System (MTS) that allows you to sell in-game items for the virtual currency used to pay for cash shop items. This makes the cash shop free in my eyes. One of the best things about Maplestory is that there are no hackers found anywhere. When I first started, there were hackers everywhere making the game unenjoyable. I will admit that I was once a hacker because I was sick of everyone else hacking. Ever since they improved their anti-hacking software, there have been no hackers. There are still scammers though so beware. -
K9 Web Protection is a good parentral control program. You can download it for free at http://www1.k9webprotection.com/ . I think that it is pretty good.

This was the first thing that I noticed when I first logged in. It was blinking. This chat box is also on Xisto too. I guess this chat box has some pros and cons about. I was barely talking to guests on it for five minutes and thought it was a bad idea. Guests were talking crap about this site. If other guests read this, that would mean less people joining. If we could get rid of these guests, then I think that it would be pretty awesome. The blinking is kind of annoying though. I always click on it and minimize it just to get rid of the blinking.

Hello Mayvena. You seem like a smart person. Welcome to Xisto. You should set up your Xisto billing account so your forum account can link and you can earn myCENT with every post you make. Make sure that you sign up with the same exact email address that you have used to sign up for this forum. After you have registered for the billing site and you have made at least five posts on this forum, the two accounts should link and you can be on your way to earning myCENT. Everytime you earn 100 myCENT, one dollar will be deposited into your billing account. This money can be used to buy hosting packages to your website.I am also a programmer. I program in C++ during my free time. I rarely go airsofting as much as I used to. It was really fun. You play the drums? I recently got a drum set but I can't really play it that well. I am sure you can do much better than me. How long have you been playing it?I am sure that you will enjoy yourself on these forums. There are a variety of categories in which you can post in. We have tons of people who will answer any of your questions so do not be afraid to post a topic if you need any help.

Yes. Prizes are only available to United States Residents only... on their website, it says that they are not planning to expand this service to other countries. You must be a legal resident of the 50 United States and District of Columbia according to the terms and conditions.

These Forums Seem Kind Of Dead Just an observation
Nelson Blogs replied to dangerdan's topic in General Discussion
I completely agree. When I was over at Xisto, I thought the same exact thing. I wondered if there had ever been more people active at the same time. Maybe we can ask some people who have been long-time members for Xisto and Xisto. I really want these two forums to be active. It would be much more enjoyable because there will be more conversations going on. It would also be easier to earn myCENT when people post new topics. Imagine how these two forums would be like if there were a few hundred members online at multiple periods of time? I say that we should take a step to refer people to these forums. Write reviews, blog about the site, etc. I think that if everyone tries, we can really make this succeed. If someone can make good looking banners, I can put them up on my blog or other forums that I visit. -
I feel like that all the time. It happens frequently to me; about every few days. I feel like I have done something like "this" before. It is a weird feeling. I wonder how many other people feel something like this too. I do not think that the concept of Deja Vu is ridiculous either. The idea is pretty/somewhat interesting.

There is something called Club Bing where you can play educational games that automatically search words on Bing. You can play the games and you get points that you can redeem for prizes. This is probably not a scam because Microsoft runs this but the prizes on the site aren't that interesting. Earning points is boring and hard. I don't find many of the games on that site fun. The game that probably earns the most is probably a game called Chicktionary which is one of those word scambler games. You have to find Anagrams from seven letters. It's just like Scrabble. I just google a scrabble solver on the internet to finish these in about 3-5 minutes. You get about twenty points per game. You can earn up to one thousand points a day. I don't think that it is worth it because most prizes are around thirty-thousand points. The shortest time in which you can get those prizes will be about a month. Each day in the month, you have to earn about a thousand tickets too which can take about 2-4 hours using my method.
