I agree with that, i am now far less likely to tell my friends about Xisto than Xisto. About a week ago i told a friend who was looking for hosting about Xisto but with the new name i am far less likely going to want to explain the "sutra" stigma that comes with it. Not to mention the work risk factor to allow anyone to see i am browsing a site from work in lunchtime with the word "sutra" in it cause the likelihood that a co worker will assume i am surfing an adult content site is not a risk i am willing to take. So i won't visit from work as often as i used to.

Lucky for me I correctly guessed and added \forum to the end of the url otherwise i would have not have made it back. I think the outcome of a domain name change has the possibility to be positive but it is definitely not likely to be easy. Looking at what you currently have is a well established brand that has several pros. I'll attempt to list a few of them. 1. Short and Easy to remember domain name ( Personally I struggle to remember people's names 5 seconds after meeting them even after shaking their hands and looking them in the eyes and repeating their names but somehow the current domain name stuck to my memory from the first time I read it.) 2. Already established listings in search engines etc. 3. Current domain name does at least partly represent what is being done. (people are being trapped by good hosting service) 4. Current name is neutral towards all groups and people. Trying to change this brand without losing any of the pro's will most likely prove to be quite a challenge. As far as I have witnessed, it seems that all of the newly suggested names has fallen short of at least the first and most important pro that the current domain name already has. "Sutra" must go: Do not underestimate how many people would avoid visiting a website from the workplace due to the name even sounding like it could be related to adult content. In the same breath this could be positive for your traffic as 90% of the Internet is adult content. Do you really want to attract that type of audience? If the name fails to be neutral towards all groups and people you will end up luring some groups and alienating others. Avoiding names that support one religion, spirituality , race or nation is important if your target market is going to be over the entire world. I think a compromise can be worked that will keep most of the pro's. I use nod for my work place for about 25 computers and nod does have a remote administrator tool that allows all the nod clients on your lan to connect to the server and download updates from one pc and dump log files. The virus definitions for nod is also the smallest i have seen compared to other anti virus. Plus nod can even block removable media if you want to help stop those flash drive virus's on "public" workstations. One more good reason to have nod is that it's performance is really good and it uses very little system overhead therefore I do consider nod faster than other av's such as avg, kaspersky , trendmicro, officescan, norton, clamwin, panda and fsecure to name a few that i have tried. I probably started goofing around with Suse 9.1 in 2004 i think, After someone from work invited me to a Novell Linux Seminar. After about 2 years I made a permanent switch to Linux on my home laptop. I can recall that I settled for the PC-Linux OS distribution at the time. Yet aother year passed and I finally switched over from windows to linux at work and used wine to run any windows appz i needed at work. At this time I was the only person at my office using Linux in a windows environment and at some stage I had a NX service running on my box that allowed some of my colleagues (windows users) to log into my Linux computer and play the Linux games (mostly Frozen Bubbles) on their windows desktops at the same time I was working in my email, web browser and wineappz. I was quite impressed considering the hardware I had was only a 700mhz with 512 mb memory. When i changed jobs again II had to use windows again and after a few months I installed Linux on my work box again and ran windows within vmware after getting really annoyed at always having to rebooting windows and not being able to anything while it is in the process of rebooting. At least since then I could reboot my virtual windows and carry on working in Linux. Nowadays I use Sun Virtual box instead of vmware, and only use windows for the programs that doesn't work under wine. Email, web stuff etc I do all via Linux. My preferred distro for servers is Centos and for desktops Knoppix (for Low spec hardware) and PC-Linux (for Better hardware) Right now on my workstation Knoppix 6.2. On my Laptop at home I Duel boot PC-Linux 2009 and Knoppix 6.2 All of my servers are Centos 5.1 or 5.2 Except for fire-wall's which are IPCOP based. A low spec Laptop with Linux plus Dosbox and some old classic dos games still keep me entertained most of the time. I like old school games. Even age of empires, dark reign etc work with wine.

I am an IT administrator for an organization and we have been using Nod for the last 4 years. Personally i think nod is one of the best anti virus packages out there. We have a license for 25 computers and i installed the NOD administrator on my xp computer and I let all the other computers point to my computer for updates and dumping of their log files. So from my computer i able to see which computers are being attacked by what malware and if they are up to date with patches etc. The administrator package allows you to do remote installs of any software you want so you can use this tool to deploy other software to your network. The nod client also has the ability to block removable media or only allow a certain usb device and not the rest. This exact feature is very useful if you want to disable flash drive virus's or stop employees from stealing company information via the usb port. Even though nod is very good there are sometimes malware that can get through just like all the other av's out there. There is just no AV that will protect 100% against everything. But I will say nod is certainly worth it's price.

I think Google street view is definitely an invasion of privacy, They should require the permission of the owner of a property to take pictures. Because now criminals can use this data to their advantage and plan crimes and attacks with less risk and effort. I think the same should go with the satellite pictures they take. They should blur out every property until they have express permission of each owner to unblur that their property. Recently it took me 3 weeks to get my domain to pointed correctly to the Xisto's name servers. Xisto has a good support system system and I had to use it. I cannot blame the entire 3 weeks on Xisto, some of it is me , some of it is Xisto , and mostly my domain registrar. Now that everything is working , It seems to be working well, and my website is fast. So overall I am impressed with the service Xisto gives. But if i had to get other domain pointed to Xisto i'd open a support ticket first and confirm that all is ready on their side before i try to update name servers. Lol i would not have wasted 3 weeks of hosting If someone had given me this advice I could have saved some credits. But oh well it's easy to make more :-D

I can think of one example where your initial idea will be applicable. Imagine a soldier robot that is actually controlled by a person who is playing first person shooting game. The person who plays the game might not know what is happening in real life and only think it is a game or simulation. But in real life the robot is killing enemies and reaching objectives thanks to the human player making intelligent choices for the robot. Apart from first person shooters i can't really imagine any other viable scenarios where game players will be controlling robots in real time/life.

Life has allot of things that come your way and i think one should make the most of them. This is my general view on Xisto. Just like life there are some good and bad factors for instance the removal of the edit feature or just plain disrespectful people are two factors for me personally but in life there are also those factors and more. I like to look on the bright side and that is that trap offers some good hosting for posting. Hey, Just to clarify a bit how do you know norton and macafee secuirty scan is installed on your computer, do they appear in the add remove programs list under control panel ? Are you the only one whom has access to your computer ? is this computer your work computer managed by IT staff ? or your own private machine? Fact: Usually anti virus do not like and won't allow other anti virus to be installed at the same time as this will create conflicts and slow your machine down. One other explanation is you came across one of those websites that does a fake scan on your computer. The browser will look exactly like a standard windows, window while scanning for virus's and then pick up fake infections. I usually laugh so hard at these, cause i run Linux and their is just no way they are fooling me with those fake windows in my browser. On a windows computer i'd be quite paranoid cause those sites probably attack your computer and install junk on it. The best protection against this on windows is to use Firefox with the noscript plugin installed. Do not use IE for browsing!!! Tip: Always make sure your anti virus is up to date and run a full system scan at least twice a month or so.

I am going to agree with anwiii on this one and go with the view that expectations are selfish. Marriage is not supposed to be slavery is it? I think marriage needs very little expectation. A lot of expectation will only lead to disappointment, anger ,resentment and hurt. However I will agree with some compromise, For example the one partner might feel like they can't live in so much filth and requires things to be clean around the house. While the other partner is a complete slob and doesn't care about the filth he/she lives in. In this scenario it would be unfair to ask the slob to be 100% clean and clean up the whole time, with the same breath it will also be unfair to expect the clean partner to live in a complete mess. So to save the day , they should both compromise, the slob should sacrifice some of his sloppiness and clean up a bit more and the clean person should compromise and lower his/her cleanliness standards. This is the situation. I have a Centos Linux samba file server that serves the windows network. Somewhere on the windows network there is a compromised computer that writes an autorun.inf file and some other files to the samba server. The problem is , all the computers have Anti virus and as soon as the infected computer puts the virus on the network one of the other workstations removes the virus permanently. If the virus stays there i could look at the file and see at least which user name created it. I have tried the testdisk utility to see if i can undelete the file but had no success. Ideally it would be very useful if i could setup a program that could monitor the autorun.inf file and as soon as it changes do a lsof command to see who the user is and then also do a netstat to see which computer ip address it traces back to. If i were to do it manually it i could do lsof -V /path/autorun.inf and then take the resulting username and pid number and do a netstat -ap | grep with pid number and that should give the clients IP address. I could write a bash script to automate this. But if there is already a utility to do this or even a way to view the history that would be awesome. I am a bit scared of writing a program or script to do this because i don't know what the overhead on the system will be to do a stat or lsof continuously. I can't imagine that it would be very efficient nor through. If anyone here has used Tripwire, AIDE, Gamin or FAM ? Please could you advice if it would work in my situation. The main thing is I need to track which IP on my Local Area Network puts the auotrun.inf on the server. Im going to look at FAM so long and will report back success or failure if anyone is interested.

I will not hijack this thread and turn it into an creation versus evolution debate. But i am going to say that i do not agree with the evolution theory. Just because you believe you evolved from a monkey doesn't mean it is true. Or that I and everyone else are required to believe it. I think it is more simple, such as people cheat because they are unsatisfied with their current partner.
