I crack just about any joint I can crack in my body - neck (well I can't crack it as much now because it hurts for some reason when I try, but sometimes I manage), back, shoulders, elbows, knuckles, knees, ankles, toes - you get the picture. I know a lot of people say it's not good for your joints but that's been proven to be an old wives' tale. It's only a release of trapped air from your joints, so there's no harm in that. Besides, it feels so good when I crack my joints that I don't think I'd stop even if it were bad, haha. So, do you crack your joints?

Hmmmm....I'm running Firefox and it shows up in my browser. I'm using a layout that's composed out of CSS and DIV tags. There should be an image in the background, a title, the box that you're seeing (with the content in it), and a drop-down menu to the right for navigation. If anyone else has any problems I'll have to have a look at the code or something. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Would You Post @ Trap17 If There Were No Mycents?
SaraInWasteland replied to The Simpleton's topic in General Discussion
Well, the whole reason I joined the Xisto.com forums was because I thought that myCENTS were a great way to get some free web hosting, and some GOOD free web hosting at that. I figured that I already like posting on forums, so why not earn something in return for it? However, now that I've been here a few days and I've gotten involved in conversations, I can say that I'd probably stay around even if no incentive to posting good, quality posts was offered. There are a lot of very intelligent people here and it's great to read their posts, plus there's a topic for just about anything one would want to talk about. Therefore, I think I can honestly say that even if myCENTS weren't offered, I probably would stick around and post. I just never would have found Xisto.com if it weren't for myCENTS in the first place. -
There are plenty of reasons to hate AOL. In fact, I still have an account with them but since I have high-speed I have the free option. I only did that so I wouldn't have to change my screennames or my personal e-mail address, which is with AOL and has been for quite some time. So, I can pretty much say whatever I want seeing as how I don't pay them, haha. When we first got it a long time ago though, I thought it was the greatest thing ever - at least I was online. However, once I got high-speed Internet, I realized just how crappy it was, and when they came out with the option to use the software for free if you had a third-party connection, I took that immediately. At any rate, their subscriber numbers have been dwindling for quite some time, so I would say it's only a matter of time before AOL goes down like so many before.

I don't really have a lot of problems loading big sites, as far as speed of loading goes, but if I'm running too many tabs or applications on my computer, my RAM goes downhill and a lot of times, my browser ends up freezing (which just annoys me to no end). Both sites are quite large though, I've definitely noticed that. I guess it's because so much stuff loads up on the page at once. I also think that Web 2.0 could be a culprit. Many people have faster connections now than they did, say, ten years ago. Also, the possibilities while creating a website were more limited. Ten years ago, high-speed was much more expensive and didn't have a broad area of coverage, so websites catered to those with slower connections such as dial-up, plus they didn't have as many options for creating more dynamic sites. Now though, they again cater to the masses by making sites designed to load on high-speed connections, and it seems that they forget that there are still a lot of people out there who don't have high-speed Internet. Hell, it seems like sometimes they even forget that while one might have a high-speed connection, even residential high-speed can only go so fast. Combine the "cater to the masses" attitude of the Internet, along with all the advances that website coding has made within the past decade, and you have a recipe for sites loading slowly sometimes. I'm not defending the sites in question, although I like both of them and use them frequently. There are plenty of things they could do (such as, like mentioned before, creating lite versions of the sites - in fact, MySpace, another site that can be slow to load, implemented a lite option for viewing profiles) - it's all a matter of actually getting them to do it. Of course though, seeing as how Facebook and MySpace compete on a consumer level, it probably won't be long before Facebook will come up with a lite option aside from the mobile site. This was just my two cents.

Here is the link to my site: Sara In Wasteland. This is the first time, I believe, that I've created a website or web page that I'm truly proud of - all thanks to Xisto.com! I used a pre-made layout from CreateBlog (because I can't really make a decent-looking layout on my own, haha). Everything except for the actual base layout though, I did by hand on my own on Notepad. The website is mostly just a personal website, although I touch on bipolar disorder by offering a little information on it and such. Anyway, check it out if you want to, tell me what you think, and feel free to give a little constructive criticism if need be.

Your height is perfectly normal for your age. I was around 5'6" when I was twelve, and seven years later, I'm still 5'6". Also, considering that you have relatively tall parents, that makes it even more normal for you to be 5'6". You could grow a little more, or you could not grow any more at all, and your height would still be normal. In fact, the average height of a woman in the Western world is 5'6" - so don't worry hun, you're not too tall nor too short, you're right there somewhere in the middle.

What graphics program do you have?
SaraInWasteland replied to jacob's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I use Photoshop CS2. I've been a fan of it ever since I first got it almost three years ago. It took me quite a while to master even the basics though, but now I'm proud to say I can do some pretty cool stuff. I know for a fact that I probably don't use it to it's fullest potential, but that's OK because I just make graphics and tweak photos for my own personal enjoyment really. I do however want to learn how to make website templates with it, as I've seen some very nice templates done with Photoshop in combination with ImageReady (which I also have). -
Favorite Instant Messenger Which one do you like best?
SaraInWasteland replied to dbh's topic in Software
My favorite messenger is Yahoo! Messenger. I've been a loyal fan of it since 2001. I love all of it's capabilities. The only thing I don't like about it is that many of my friends don't use it - they're more partial to AIM. (I do use AIM too but I don't like it as much as I like Yahoo! Messenger.) However, all of the pros of Yahoo! Messenger far outweigh the one con of not many of my friends actually using it. Plus, it's really the only messenger I've ever found to be reliable for me personally, as AIM has a tendency to freeze on me - and don't even get me started on MSN/Windows Live! Haha! -
My favorite sport is (American) football. I was raised watching it and raised to root for the Steelers. (Love 'em or hate 'em, they've got six rings now so no one can discount them as a damn good team.) I'm not quite sure what draws me in for football though. I think it's because I'm definitely not a prissy girl and therefore, I love seeing some bone-crushing action on the field. I also enjoy playing the occasional game of football in the back yard but for the most part, I'm a spectator.

I love seeing graffiti, as it is obvious that it takes a lot of talent to do it well. I live in a small town though, so I don't really see much (and what I do see is just horrible). However, the downside is that a lot of times, some kid will pick up a can of spray paint and paint on whatever he/she can find, regardless of who it belongs to. I'm not saying all graffiti artists do this, but there are always a few bad apples that spoil the whole bushel. If these types of people could keep their graffiti on their own property, or at least on property where they have express permission to use for graffiti purposes, then it would make it so much better.

Do You Use Blogger? Vote In The Poll
SaraInWasteland replied to rlineker's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I use Blogger. I like it's ease-of-use and the fact that blogs hosted there are pretty straight-forward - not too many frills unless you want them there, no ads unless you want them there, etc. I do have a few problems with it though - for example, it's VERY hard to get through to a support team there. They want you to use the help forums, which is just frustrating. However, for the most part I do like it and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to start a blog easily and quickly. -
X10 Hosting Anyone Been Here? Review please
SaraInWasteland replied to frozen.fish's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I signed up with them literally the day before I came here. They are the reason I came to Xisto! I went to log on and start building and editing yesterday morning, and hey, what do you know - they were down for like, two hours! I couldn't get into my cPanel or anything, and I was growing very impatient. I got to reading more reviews of them and I realized that I wasn't the first person this had happened to. I mean, I want to build a decent website, and they offer the abilities to do that, but I also want a decent amount of up-time too! I don't want to have to worry about if my site is going to be down for hours at a time or if I will be able to get into my cPanel or not for hours at a time. I found out, less than twenty-four hours after signing up with them, that they're crap to say the least. I guess it's true what they say - you get what you pay for. (That doesn't necessarily apply here though, seeing as how we "pay" for our hosting capabilities by being active on the forum. ) Anyway, my best advice: stay away from X10 Hosting and just stick with Xisto! -
Chocolate Covered Pretzels Yumm
SaraInWasteland replied to gisellebebegirl's topic in Health & Fitness
Chocolate-covered pretzels are so good. Since there is salt on the pretzels, it's this great combination of sweet and salty and I absolutely love it. I haven't had any chocolate-covered pretzels in quite a while though. Now I'm craving them though! -
I don't play video games very much at all, but when I'm at my sister's watching my nephew me and him play on his Wii. He has Need For Speed Undercover and Need For Speed Underground. I enjoy both games, and I agree about the graphics - they're unbelievable. I don't really play to beat the whole game or anything though, I basically just play with him for fun and for stress relief. (Hey, racing a car on a screen is better than beating people up in real life, haha!) Driving games are really the only video games I ever play when I do play them, and I love Need For Speed.

A List Of Animals And Their Meaning Like the title says
SaraInWasteland replied to Kagome Higurashi's topic in Home & Garden
Thanks so much for posting this! I love animals so much but never really gave much thought to what they actually mean. It's great though to see that many of them mean what one would expect them to mean (for example, the butterfly meaning metamorphosis). I also liked the meaning of the dolphin, because I collect dolphin figurines. -
World's Ugliest Website I believe I have found it
SaraInWasteland replied to BooZker's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I just LOVE how there's a small graphic that says, "Best viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Down with all other web browsers and Web 2.0 police." Seriously, that website is an eyesore (literally). I like the message of it but I think somebody needs a crash course in web design. You don't have to be up to Web 2.0 standards to make a decent-looking website, after all. HTML can yield some decent results - you just have to know how to use it. The person who created that website obviously doesn't.As for the one forum that was posted (The World Of Talk), I actually didn't mind that one. Sure, the color scheme was a little hard on the eyes but I'm actually a fan of purple and lime green together. (That's just my personal taste though.) I wouldn't put it on a website though - no need to blind unsuspecting visitors, after all. -
Are Girls Prettier Without Makeup? Vote & Say You Thoughts
SaraInWasteland replied to lihuyt's topic in Health & Fitness
I don't wear make-up but I don't think I'm prettier without it. I just prefer a more natural look. I'm pretty low-key when it comes to all of that stuff. (Plus I'm sort of lazy and I figure make-up is an unneeded step, haha.) I figure if someone doesn't like the way I look, then they don't have to look at me. :-P Every once in a while I'll put it on if I'm going somewhere where I want to look my absolute best, but I tend to keep it to a minimum (eyeliner, a little eyeshadow, and some chapstick or lipgloss). I don't wear foundation/base or anything like that because it tends to create a never-ending cycle of clogged pores, breakouts, trying to cover it up with more make-up, and then it continues again. Anyway, that was beside the point I think. My point is, some girls are prettier without it, some girls need it to look good. Either way, make-up can't change the overall look. It might make someone look a little better (I'll admit, I look a little better when I do choose to wear make-up) but if someone isn't that pretty to begin with, there's only so much one can do to cover that up. -
Daddy Long Legs Did You Know its most poisonous
SaraInWasteland replied to devildude93's topic in General Discussion
I had heard this a million times, but I always somehow doubted it. It wasn't until I watched the episode of "MythBusters" (as mentioned before) that I found that that it wasn't true. Daddy long legs seem so harmless, I just couldn't imagine one being THAT dangerous, at least to humans. Me and my older sister used to play with them when we were young so I'm sure if they really were that poisonous, one of us would have been pushing daisies by now. -
How Did You Hear About This Forum word
SaraInWasteland replied to googlue's topic in General Discussion
I heard about Xisto while I was looking at free webhosts. I thought it was a pretty good deal and it couldn't be one of those "too good to be true" things. I mean, after all, we have to give back by posting quality posts in the forums to earn the free hosting, and the capabilities seemed very good (better than other free web hosting services, that's for sure). It seemed like a good deal so I decided to check it out, and once I did, I decided to register. It's a win-win situation - I earn free web hosting services by doing something I love (posting on forums) and in turn, I get to share a little knowledge with the people here. -
Yagoohoogle Do You Yahoo Or Google ?
SaraInWasteland replied to alexia's topic in Websites and Web Designing
It depends on what I'm doing with the website in question. I absolutely love Yahoo!'s services such as mail (although I don't use Yahoo! Mail anymore, I did for a very long time) and I am especially fond of Yahoo! Messenger. However, if I'm just searching, then I go with Google. It loads very quickly and it's very efficient if you're just searching for something. There's no need for me to wait for all the extra stuff to load up when I'm just wanting to search for a recipe or something. Therefore, when it comes to services, I go with Yahoo! but when it comes to using the actual search engine, I go with Google. -
Dollar Tree The place for great deals
SaraInWasteland replied to cemeteryrecords's topic in General Discussion
I don't mind going to dollar stores like the Dollar Tree, but I have never bought food at one for this reason. I always figured there had to be some sort of catch to getting things so cheaply. Some things are pretty good to buy there (I've gotten books, writing supplies, coloring books for my nephew, knick-knacks, etc. there) but there are a lot of things that I won't buy from a Dollar Tree simply because I don't trust the quality of it. If there's really a big concern about it (and it seems there is), then it should be brought to the attention of people who can do something about it, because surely it can't be legal to try to sell expired food. That said though, there are a lot of decent "dollar stores" aside from Dollar Tree. I will buy food occasionally (like a gallon of milk or a dozen of eggs if I find that I'm running low) from a place like Dollar General because their prices seem to stay truer to quality (if that makes sense). -
I'm not a fan of the new Windows Live Messenger. Granted, I don't use Windows Live/MSN very much at all, I still liked the older version better. The new one tends to run slower on my system, and since many of my friends haven't upgraded to the new one, I can't do chats with multiple users. But, like I said, I don't use Windows Live/MSN that much to begin with.

Quitting School... did you quit school?
SaraInWasteland replied to wasi's topic in General Discussion
I quit school. It's not something I'm exactly proud of, but I'm not ashamed of it either. Sometimes circumstances and life just get in the way of what we want to do. I'm currently in the process of acquiring my GED. A lot of people told me that I was too smart to not go after my GED, and I realize that it's essential if I want to get anywhere in life. I want to attend college someday so obviously I need the GED for that. I would never encourage someone to quit school unless there was something major going on in their life that warranted it. I don't regret dropping out but that is just because of my personal circumstances. Had things been different, I probably would have stayed in school. I had a lot of beefs with my school, and there were a lot of things going on in my life that made school very difficult to keep up with and just deal with in general. I would encourage anyone though to stick it out as long as they possibly can.
