  1. I'll vote: yes. I see improvement since your last application (nice vector work, btw) and we could actually use another Crew member. Where are the other GFX Crew members to vote? I don't know, but i guess my vote and Kubi's is enough to get you in. Welcome; i'll edit your honorary title.
  2. Hah, just like drug companies (IMO), they make you take drugs forever, and when you stop the symptoms are capable of coming back. Yet, they're "oh so close to the cure." There's also another theory that anti-virus companies make viruses to spread unto computers, just so they can come out with patches for them. But what can't we speak the same about? Soda companies making their sodas cause thirst? Fast food companies making their food cause hunger? The list goes on... People only care about the money, as far as i'm concerned. Not the well-being of people.
  3. If one is going to talk about God they have to consider things like the Bible, for that's how we have come to know Him. Evolution contradicts the Bible. And there are many scientific facts in the Bible. Yes, indeed it is possible for God to have caused macro-evolution to happen, but you can't talk about God without considering His Word. If you don't consider it, you might as well not start conversations about Him. In the same way you say, , same goes for evolution: why don't we remember ever evolving? It takes as much faith to believe in evolution as it does to believe in God (yes, i know this is old, but it's true, therefore i repeat it). All "proof" i've seen for evolution were a lot of drawings, computer simulations and statements that seem like it can happen (not really proof). Also a lot of people grabbing one skull and some jaw and claiming it's a new species—it's like building a snow man. God wants us to live by faith, for the time being. But at the same time, all who believe have their own proof. In the end, we will all believe: this is why i say "non-believers" (with quotes). You must also remember that just 'cause it's logical doesn't mean it's true; that's why it's called a "theory." And God can't contradict Science, 'cause that may mean Science can disprove Him—which it can't.

You are right to say that dreams come with many worries (Ecclesiastes 5:3), but even we can't tell ourselves what to dream. Yes, our dreams may answer current problems, but even then they're a bit hard to comprehend, and only God can give one the ability to interpret dreams (Daniel 2:27-28). And also God does speak to us through our dreams (Job 33:14-18). [hr=noshade] You are right to say that God is the good within us. You are also right to say that God is what has us commit good. And you are also right that fearing God, full submission to Him, would mean complete detachment of the world. But, no, we are not the ones that are watching ourselves (Proverbs 16:25, 20:9, 21:2). And grief is a blessing, but many don't realize it. [/hr]
  6. Christmas is so far away and you're already planning on dumping her, just for an embarrassing bathroom moment? Better would be if she dumped you! Or did you already dump her and made it seem like this plan of yours is for a future time?

    God

Wow, so much in such a small amount of time! Everyone who knows God has seen Him. (I have a verse for this, but i can never find a verse i could so use until after i no longer need it...) [1]Do we know the mind of God? Can we examine Him like He examines us? God allows things to happen for good reason, even if we don't see it that way (at the time). Perhaps it was allowed to be an example for future generations. [2]Like mentioned before, we still choose. But tell me, what's so bad about taking the good road/path? Why do so many people avoid it?
  9. The relationship breaks usually because one failed to meet (unknown) requirements set by their partner, or cause they were just being played/used. Woe to the one who plays another for a fool! True love never fails. The hard part is the breaking up?they usually always never end properly. Everyone needs closure, but sadly some don't receive it. No closure and pain may remain, if there was any pain to begin with. Most of the time, anger or hate is the person's closure?not the best, proper way to go about it.
  10. The Halo one is very nice! I'm also fond of the first four. The first Family Guy one is nice, also. I always prefer contrast over brightness; too much brightness brings down the sig, in my eyes/opinion. The text is quite good on most of the sigs. My overall rating: 4.1/5.
  11. It is good that you're sticking closer than a brother! It is a sad day when you can't gain support from family or a family member. It seems that you yourself have the ability to give yourself good advice? Let that be your guide when comforting her through times of trouble or discomfort. Also, did she tell you that she thinks she's bi- because she saw it a bad thing? In the same way you stand up for her against her family members, do so against her friends, if possible. Everyone seeks unfailing love.
  12. I would not try to force anything beyond what she has already accepted. Be content with what you can do and what you can't do. It is good that she still likes talking to you about almost everything! I'd suggest to just be there for her like you've been doing so far. Like you said, she still trusts you, don't do things that'll ruin that trust. Listen to her like you've been doing, don't let your emotions get the best of you if she wants something different. Better best friends than no friends at all. She may be trying to work something out on her own, while at the same time doesn't want you to interfere much or put too much pressure on.
  13. Good brush work. I like the first one more 'cause you can see more detail in the brush work 'cause of the white background (i'm also fond of the color blue ). But all the sigs could use a bit more contrast. They all could also use a border—all sigs should have a border. As a recommendation, you should start working on multi-colored sigs.
  14. Work is only appreciated when the others realize the work behind it. The fact that your partners are confused by your own coding should scream out acknowledgment and show some indirect appreciation, but at the same time their confusion is blinding them from seeing the work behind it and putting that appreciation into action. I suggest considering their confusion as appreciation for now, if possible. But keep in mind that appreciation also comes from the output that the work provides (this also relates to the confusion). Meaning, your appreciation may not come until later—in the end. The longer the wait, the bigger the reward. Don't let this trouble you, for it shouldn't. What i mean is, worry about the future when it becomes the present; there's enough to worry about today. As i see it, you might just have to actually take the "boss" position (although you don't want to) and get these people to work as a group with you. Then, they might just even acknowledge all the work you've put into the current coding and appreciate your efforts. Even with a slow computer, they could at least code something, though. Tell them, if they need to test their coding, then go to the designated area. Even on a slow comp, one can code. We reap what we sow, don't we? What's so good about a little folding of the hands? People reap poverty when they fold their hands.
  15. I see you could use some improvement in the brightness and contrast area. Don't worry about the text looking bad; i'd recommending mastering the text in the end. I'd recommend, also, getting (better) PhotoShop brushes from DeviantArt. Anothing thing, make sure the render takes up at least half the sig: notice how the first sig seems better than the others 'cause of how much room the render takes up. The last sig, the pink color on the text doesn't seem to match well with the rest of the sig. [hr=noshade] Go here: Good-tutorials.comAnd here: Pixel2Lifein the PhotoShop section and look up some basic tutorials, then move on to some others that catch your eye. [/hr]
  16. Wow! Nice layout find. It's really more of an imitation of the Linux terminal, but very nice. That would actually take some time to learn how to work and navigate, just like the real Linux terminal.
  17. Ah, if you played well?so be it. Forget about how the others played, they're not you, and no one's perfect. For some people, no matter how many times you get up on stage they still get stage fright. Also, there will always be disappointing times?it's nothing new; no one's perfect. Anger doesn't last forever, you'll get over it. Afterwards, you'll probably even consider forgiving them.
  18. Voting does not begin in the same battle-request topic. You have to make a new topic with the entries, and declare how many votes the participants require to win. You may also include the theme of the battle. Please issue a new topic for voting purposes. You may do so in the Battles forum.

  20. To be more precise:Cut the "tree list" code, make a new file named "menu.html" or "menu.php" or "menu.txt" or whatever in the same directory, and paste the "tree list" code into that newly-created file. Then, on the page on the same spot the "tree list" code was at, place the following: <?php include("menu.html"); ?>Where menu.html is the name of the file you created.
  21. Oh noez! I got spammed by that S&M guy! xD

  22. The most widely used definitions are placed on top. But to deny the other definitions and just consider the ones that mention the words "god" or "supernatural being", etc, is to be biased. And, in reality, everything comes down to belief. This may also come down to choice, 'cause we choose to believe things as a fact or not by what is presented to us. Let's say a person is ignorant of all continents, countries, etc. You hand over a map that has names of countries that are not on the most widely used map of today, but does portray the world geographically correct. The person studies it and remembers everything on it. Because of what was presented to them the person will believe that this country is named [this] and that country [that], while disagreeing with everyone else. I can make plenty of scenarios relative to what i have just mentioned.
  23. I know the problem is resolved, but i'll respond to these... <?php$mycode = '<?php echo("hello");?> <html>';$mycode = htmlentities($mycode);echo "<pre>".$mycode."</pre>";?>This is how i would have done it: less work, just as affective. Reason being 'cause the bbcodes don't surround the less-than and greater-than symbols, like so:$mycode = '[b]<[/b]?php echo("hello");?[b]>[/b] [b]<html>[/b]';
  24. Use the PHP function "htmlentities" to convert everything placed inside the CODEBOX bbcode. That should do it.
  25. You know it's true love when looks don't matter. But when you're around her, does your expression change (a happy look)? You know she's interested when her attention is mostly on you—not implying to force anything upon her. Like mentioned, show that you care, but don't over do it. Friendship is always the best start. But i must ask: How long have you known her?
