You mean in terms of giving people previews of available scripts? I don't recall recommending you openSuSE. Perhaps it was rvalkass?

New Need For Speed Sig. 1st in 3 months.
truefusion replied to FraKture's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
A bit rusty? If that's a bit rusty, then i'd like so see your work when you get the hang of it again. The only thing i have to say about the sig is that you may have over did it a bit on its bluriness. Also, is "rekkit" an alias? -
[1]I let the context take care of that, which you have responded to later on in your post.[2]No, but that's an interesting thought to consider. That would reduce a lot of rape cases. (By the way, "rape" is defined in many ways.) [3]Not educated correctly? You mean, self taught? 'Cause that would be the case. Apparently, one does not need sex ed. to commit sexual intercourse. [4]I don't believe i've said that i wanted the mother to keep the child. And giving a rapist the death penalty may actually be helping him out. And even if torture came before the death penalty, they'd be asking for the death penalty to hurry. Also, if the rapist is found, you could force them to pay child support. One more thing, regardless of her having a child or not, she would still be reminded by other means: when dating, looking at soap operas, even by just walking down the street. [5]This is where we look at both sides to determine which one is more reasonable and objective. [6]I don't get offended easily, and that doesn't offend me. I've been asked that question plenty of times, but my beliefs don't contradict each other. But to answer your question: i am pro-life when the being is not guilty of anything deserving death. My question is, what is the child guilty of deserving death? Nothing, therefore making abortion unjust. Ah, and i was about to ask how'd you guess i was in favor of the death penalty when done properly. And i have provided my reasoning—doesn't seem hypocritical to me. [1]Only if the latter could have been prevented. But you're placing emphasis on "if not worse than."[2]I would agree if the fetus asked to be the mother's body. However, the fetus is its own body. [3]The "scientific" defintions you give "direct" and "indirect" basically come down to two things: physically and literally—both of which are also included in their ("direct" and "indirect") non-scientific definition. So is it really a scientific definition? [4]Your original statement involved breastfeeding not spoonfeeding. But including spoonfeeding, after mentioning what i did in number 3, it is no longer "in this case." [5]However, i don't believe i have been using any mainstream religious beliefs for my reasons, as abortion was not an option back then. But does it have to be considered human in order to be considered a living thing? Is it considered so insignificant that it is not living to others? [6]The scenario i gave does not involve a case of rape nor a parent who chose abortion. But how does such hurt the mother? [1]By implying that the father is present, that means that if the father was the rapist, then he is being taken care of.[2]After implying that the father is present, for your own sake i will consider the same scenario except without a father: Not if she believes she's doing the right thing. [3]That doesn't mean self-esteem is not freely gainable. [1]Although i can see where you got that impliciation, i just find it hard to believe that the mother would die from a natural birth (now-a-days). So, no, i don't think that's taking it too seriously.[2]They dropped it 'cause their previous establishment was not well thought out. In my statement i did not include any outside groups or facilities, nor did i say the amount of doctors involved should be no less than three. A third doctor should be involved if the two making the decision can't mutually agree.

[1]Only if you keep saying that and not act otherwise.[2]Then they should have never acted. This is why self-control is useful. [3]That's to promote sexual activity among the youth. It's better to teach self-control and to only mention sex alternatives and contraception methods within the context of marriage after teaching other methods of self-control. However, if one were to teach contraceptives, without self-control, those who are "in the moment" will not choose to use these contraceptives if it requires to put forth what they deem as "unnecessary effort." [4]This sounds like you'd prefer the child to die just so you can gain some peace. [5]For the former, babies cry for a lot of reasons, but how can you determine it's in pain? Let alone, in the womb? For the latter, do you really need to be educated to realize the side effects of their actions? [6]True. [7]Not being aware of itself doesn't make it any less alive. [8]No. [9]Size, development, potential, separation, etc. [10]Isn't that our reasoning? [11]Yeah, think of the mother, you're going to let her agree to an unjust, immoral and selfish act, which allows another being to probe around, to fit your ideals? [12]Seriously.....

I would say no. You would have to have the ability to access files outside of your public_html folder. In order to do that, you would have to change the PHP configuration for your account, which you can't on Xisto for security reasons. And even if you could, to even write to those files is a different story. You would have to change the permissions to those files if you want writing abilities, and in order to do that through PHP, you would have to change the permissions for the directory that these files are in. And, of course, you would have to have had previously studied C-panel and Fantastico. Everything should be configured to work against this. This information is actually basic Linux stuff. And you should be able to stop racking your brains now. :PBut why would you want to do so anyway?

You don't even need a year or more to know how to properly slice a layout; the experience would come from building sites. But i would have suggested 3+ years for the building sites part. See? However, this i have found to be the reason why i don't apply to these jobs. I mean, how many job applications can you find that don't require experience? Even some internships ask for experience... How can one gain experience if the ones that actually appear trustworthy are asking for experience? This implies knowing how to work with attachments. Dreamweaver? Doesn't that ruin the previous requirement listed? Through personal experience, i've found it takes longer to fix a layout that was generated by a WYSIWYG editor than for one that was generated by hand. Not every CMS is made the same. And Joomla and Mambo aren't easy to first understand. But chances are they have made their own for you to work with. This should have been implied in the first requirement. Keywords: is a bonus. So you can basically mentally cross out this line. Does this mean that they'll place you in a position according to your knowledge? Actually, i'd be surprised to see that they'd have PHP, ASP and JSP for one to use.

Special Ed Why is it that some teenagers are so self interested
truefusion replied to CiniMen's topic in General Discussion
A lot of people in SED are in there because they were deemed "not normal" by adults in the school system. It's not necessarily that they're dumb (i.e. can't read or write) or because they have trouble with certain academic courses (though that may be the case for some). Many people in "mainstream" classes have changed the acronym SED to mean "Stupid Every Day"—this further prolongs the looking down upon of those within SED classes. But don't be too down or sad for them, as these kind of classes have benefits that the other "mainstream" classes don't. For example, these classes are usually smaller in size with less students than "normal" classes, and usually have two teachers for each class. This means the students are capable of attaining the proper support from teachers in their academics studies, where in a big class the one teacher cannot give their attention to all the students, which this has been known to be one of the causes as to why some students don't do well in their courses. There are other benefits that may cause "mainstream" students to envy SED students, but i won't mention them. -
Moving topic... Although i don't own a Mac, you can do more than just media production on it. I hear that's a KDE thing, but it's more apparent in KDE4. So, you're basically indirectly touching the Mac OS. Define "not enough software." You mean not enough games? Because there are several thousand programs available for Linux—a lot of which show some competition for proprietary software.

Mine And Kansuke's Website Layout
truefusion replied to coolcat50's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I like the text reflection for the navigation, but the "box" that they're placed in is too tall, and the C4D render in it overpowers the text. I'd also replace or cut off the C4D render at the top right, for if there were to be content, it would either push the content down or may interact with it in a bad way. You might also get the text reflection to increase in eye candiness (word?) by moving the reflection up a bit and adding a text shadow to the one on top. -
What version of Firefox are you using? If it's below 2.0.0.9, then that could be the problem. Here you should find a solution for Firefox versions below 2.0.0.9: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_:_FAQs_:-_Windows_Vista

You've given "direct" and "indirect" different definitions. Things like the mother helping the child walk or providing the child with milk is direct support, because indirect support would mean helping something else, which in turn helps the child out. And science doesn't define morality or parental responsibilities. There's a thing known as the "Baby Moses Law," so the parent does not need to look for someone who will adopt the child. And self-esteem can be easily and freely gained. Indirect termination is equal to, if not worse than, direct termination. Cutting off the child's support is wrong. And the mother is obligated to find support for the child if she is not willing to support the child herself, for it was her actions that brought the child into existence. By saying they are not obiligated, you are supporting not taking responsibility for one's actions, which in turn allows more non-sense to occur. The child has the right to be supported—abortion takes away those rights; even in the case of rape, the child has the same rights; this is why abortion is not justified here. The only time i see that abortion is justified is when the child will die a natural death inside the mother's womb and is going to be taking the mother's life along with it. However, the doctors who made the decision must have no reasonable doubt whatsoever and must provide proof for their decision. I say doctors because one doctor should not be the only one that makes the decision.

Sotm #65 - Easter Theme - Entries
truefusion replied to Mich's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I'll take a crack at this. Here's my entry: And in case anyone is wondering: Yes, i do lay eggs. But sersiously, i meant the sub title to be directed towards the bunny-chick. -
The analogy you presented does not fully consider what happens after the child is born, that is, out of the womb. The child after it is born still can't support itself—it is dependent on whoever is taking care of it. The analogy you presented implies that once the child is out, it is independent—this is not true; independence for the child comes years after the child is born. And according to your analogy, so long as the child is dependent on a "parent" (or as you put it, "body"), the child can be terminated. Why does it being inside or outside make a difference? Both are the same thing. Therefore, your analogy does not justify abortion. Does the mother require to take care of the child? No, the mother can give her child away to those that will.

Charged For Free Customer Service To Fix Cell Phone
truefusion replied to blood&CLASSIQUE's topic in The Vent
Ah, okay. So basically they got the screen for free but used the $50 for the phone calls and for themselves? Interesting sneaky way to make business. -
Charged For Free Customer Service To Fix Cell Phone
truefusion replied to blood&CLASSIQUE's topic in The Vent
Wait, what? They—a phone company—used your cell phone to order the replacement LCD screen and charged you for making the call? That's not right. Plus, they're a phone company—they should have plenty of phones themselves to order the screen. I'd argue for that money back. -
I would be a bit dissapointed, though, if i were a company who previously purchased a trade-secret license in order to use one of these protocols, assuming my company were giving away the software it made for free. I was wondering about that. I would have assumed that they would charge for the ability to view the source. Heh, of course. Suing them would ruin the purpose of open-sourcing the programs, and would only make Microsoft look bad. It's like waving the code in front of them and saying, "Haha, you can't use this." Ah, that sounds more like Microsoft. But i don't see Microsoft making any income from a lot, if not all, of open-source developers.

Free Graphic Programs As Opposed To The Real Thing
truefusion replied to thewebkid's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
A topic about Inkscape was created here: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/53520-inkscape-a-open-source-vector-app-that-support-lot-function-an-open-source-vector-graphics-editor-with-capabilities-similar-to-il/ You can find work by GIMP users here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ You'll notice that basically all of them can be compared to the Adobe products. -
You should look at this video: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ It may not declare a winner, but it's quite action packed; it's based on the movie the Matrix. But i'd go with Samus, she seems better equipped.

What Do You Thinks Of This Email what do you thinks of this email
truefusion replied to zamaliphe's topic in Software
A friend of mine had a similar case, where they gave him some far fetched story. What my friend did was reply back with another far fetched story, picking bits and pieces from their story in order to form a similar story as to relate to them. The story my friend got was quite similar, the person claimed to have lost their parents, used to be part of a rich family, and is having trouble claiming their father's inheritance. My friend played along saying that he too was from a rich family and lost everything since his parent's death but has some support. My friend asked for proof of the money, upfront and in cash, with an I.D. of the person. Interestingly enough, they sent him an image of an I.D. to his e-mail, and asked for an image of my friend. It was funny, but the scammer eventually stopped e-mailing him. -
Windows Vista Aero Vs Linux Ubuntu Beryl
truefusion replied to truefusion's topic in General Discussion
You can install Beryl, Compiz or Compiz-fusion on any distro, you just need the Linux drivers for your graphics card to be installed. And a decent graphics card should suffice. I'm currently running Compiz-fusion on Kubuntu 7.10—loving the eye-candy and effects. My graphics card is a 8600GT Nvidia card. When i loaded up Kubuntu, a little pop-up appeared saying if i wanted to install the Linux Nvidia drivers for it. After updating the system and restarting, i installed Compiz-fusion with Emerald, and am enjoying the fire effect when i close the windows. -
I believe it would be better to post them over at the Video Clips forum.

truefusion replied to Reekun's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Yes. Does this suffice? -
Ah, i don't see that as a problem. HTML5, i hear, will make XHTML be more like what it's supposed to be—have xml attributes; that is, you should be able to make your own elements. So all i'd have to do is: font {color: blue;}center {text-align: center;}u {text-decoration: underline;}etc...

How Would I Go About Making A Simple "counting" Script?
truefusion replied to DSGamer3002's topic in Programming
By the way, input elements (except a few) require the value attribute to be set in order to be able to send a value to the server-side script, otherwise the variable containing the POST information will be empty.
