Bah...guilty. I did that to my teacher at the end of the year when she was trying to present something to the class. I worked for the school district at the time so I kind of had access to teachers computers. . Oh boy was seeing her reaction hilarious. She never found out it was me either.

It's truly frightening how quickly this company is willing to surrender your money back to you. They must really know they're doing something that's immoral.

First off, I'd like to start with a little story. My friends old computer was loaded with viruses and bad stuffs, so he bought a new computer. He bought a Dell. And "Dude he spent a lot"(pun intended). He spend nearly 6 grand on a computer..and the specs on it weren't even that great. (Definitely not worth 6 grand). I offered to build him a computer, a third of the price, twice as powerful. And I SO did it. Spent 2.3 on an amazing computer. I would ALWAYS recommend buying custom. Even if you don't know how to build a computer, you can pay someone to do it WAY cheaper then it would be to buy a brand name one. I would always go with Newegg. They have the best prices I've seen, and all there products have customer reviews so you can really get a feel for what it can do. A lot of there products offer FREE shipping! If not, you'll never pay more then 15 dollars for shipping the biggest of computer parts..

Windows Vista Randomly Freezing Vista freezes randomly
Kubi replied to Kubi's topic in Operating Systems
I now believe it's my sound drivers. I've been running my computer with no sound and it hasn't frozen in 2 hours. I proceeded to disable my sound drivers and still no freezing. It makes sense because my computer freezes most often when I'm playing games or watching videos, which require sound. Unfortunately I can't go long without sound drivers so I need to find some compatible ones. I'm using the standard Realtek onboard sound card...And the new motherboard I bought, as with every single motherboard - uses realtek audio... These are the drivers I'm using http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I'll try installing the XP sound drivers, maybe those will work. UPDATE: XP drivers didn't work. Found out I was just getting lucky, vista froze again with no sound drivers. New parts should arrive by Tuesday. Hopefully that'll put an end to this nightmare. UPDATEx2: I changed the voltage of my ram from 2.7v to 2.6v. The RAM was built for 2.6v so I thought maybe this would help. Computer hasn't frozen yet. Bah...froze -
Windows Vista Randomly Freezing Vista freezes randomly

I don't believe it's a hardware FAILURE because of the fact that windows xp will work just fine. I've installed XP previous to vista and there were no issues. I've completely patched up. I uninstalled my video drivers but that didn't work. Sidebar has been disabled, as well as Aero(Cry). Leading the way in memory hogging is dwm.exe(system32) at a whopping 50.768Ks of memory. Next up in firefox. Which I'm actually going to stop using for now because IE takes up half the memory. Keyboard has been snapped in half and I'm looking on newegg for new parts. I figure while I'm at it might as well get an upgrade . EDIT: As I said before it's a fresh install so I haven't installed many programs. Only the ones I need (Windows Live) and (Mumble). EDIT EDIT: I ran task manager while I was doing stuff and when the computer froze it showed nothing. IE was top of the list with normal consumption... Going to buy some new parts, time for an upgrade anyways.. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ -

Personally, I HATE windows gadgets, so those have been disabled. I'm going to uninstall the drivers, which I got direct from nVidia and wait to see if it freezes -
Windows Vista Randomly Freezing Vista freezes randomly

Already have the patch. Does not fix the issue. -
So I just installed vista upon the almighty computer, and it worked fine for a day or less. (Bah). I installed all my drivers and such and went on my merry way. Now all of a sudden it starts freezing on me. It's completely random, I can find absolutely NO pattern to why it's doing this. I've reformatted multiple times to make sure it wasn't just a bad install. I've updated my drivers, they are ALL compatible with Vista. I've read it could be an issue with an April 06 Security update Microsoft released but I have no such update installed. Being a fresh install I have next to no programs installed. The only ones I have are Mumble, Xfire, HJT and Windows Live....oh, and firefox Here's my specs: This is a serious post, I don't want any "Oh, it's because you're running Vista". That's unnecessary and not very helpful. Thanks. EDIT: The second I hit "submit" my computer froze.

As I said before - when requestion support please give us a link to your website or website request. Also, since you say you don't have hosting it seems to me like you didn't go to Xisto.com/process and activate your account. Again, please check your installation configuration and see if there are any errors.
-
Make sure once you've been approved for hosting you go to https://support.xisto.com/ and create your account, this isn't automated so you have to create it yourself. Make sure you use all the same information you posted in your request. Also, make sure your account is set up properly by using https://support.xisto.com/. If not you'll need to contact an administrator. If you've simple forgotten your password you'll need to change it, this will cost 10 credits however. Make sure you're using the appropriate caps, they do count. Also, when requesting support please make sure you give us a link to your website.

Yup, it doesn't really get much more epic then that. Unless ofcourse you were to meet me in person. If you see someone walking around with a huge beam of light surrounding them...<-- Yo.

What I don't understand is why these Dev teams aren't working for Apple. With these guys on there team they can safeblock there system. These guys are pros and know most the tricks of the trade. Employ them and find security holes in there system. To me this seems like a logical idea, since everyone seems to be striving for a more secure product, even if it's an iPhone.

I noticed a charge on my card, labeled , for 12 dollars. I did some research to find out what this was. Simple, wasn't hard in the least. Considering when you google "Reservation Rewards", the 3rd page that appears is "Reservation Rewards is a Scam". I contacted my bank and they told me to get in touch with the company and see if they would refund my money - because I had NO idea what this transaction was. (Another common name they go by is WebLoyalty.com). I didn't have to go far to notice that they got my credit card info when I purchased movie tickets online. A few other places that partner with these guys are Orbits.com, Moviefone.com, and a few others. Trust me, google and you will find. So there I was, ordering my movie tickets. At the very end I got forwarded to this so called Reservation Rewards page with an offer of 10$ in Moviebucks. *Completely free*. I didn't see anything that said they were going to charge me, I never gave them my credit card info. There was NO TOS to read. Just enter your email here, twice and we'll send you your reward(along with MANY others)!. So, stupidly I did. Afterwards I didn't receive any email, I just disregarded this as either a glitch, or spam. This was on Dec31 2007(they were kind enough to tell me the EXACT date and time I sold them my credit card info). Anyways, I went on my happy way, saw my movie, never heard from this place again. until now. 3 months after my purchase I noticed this transaction on my card from Reservation rewards. It was a 12 dollar transaction. I called the number that came along with the bill and they seemed ever so nice. I told them that this was unauthorized and I wanted it off my account. They HAPPILY told me that I gave my credit card info when I entered my email twice, which automatically made me agree to there TOS(there were none), and that I confirmed my account via email(there was none). I told them I did no such thing and wanted my account canceled. I also asked for a refund. Not only did they cancel my account, but they DOUBLED my refund, they gave me 24 dollars back on my card. They seemed MUCH to hasty to give me a refund which kind worried. Needless to say I'll be canceling my card and getting a new one. Google there partners and you'll be able to see who sells them your credit card info, never take no as an answer from this place. If they won't give you a refund mention 2 words "Attorney General". No problems. Have fun.

Just because somethings been under the knife for so long doesn't mean it's going to be amazing. Then again it's starcraft, and blizzard, so right there you've got 3 kinds of awesome. If you're confused, yes, 3. That's how awesome it is. I love Starcraft, It was the first game I ever played on the first computer I ever had. So if I do my math right, I've been playing for..8ish years now? It's been out since 1993, and it's still going strong. So many people play the game and will continue to play that game. Once Starcraft2 comes out that'll be the new super title. I think lots of people will leave WoW and Starcraft to move to Starcraft 2.
