I don't know if the installer would halt because of the 200 MHz difference. But if it doesn't you can somehow get through the installation and can even play it without much issues. If you had a multiprocessor CPU (dual or quad) the game would run fine even with 2.8 or 2.6 GHz.That Nvidia 8500GT is a DX10 graphics card supporting pixel shader 4.0 so it should run fine. But don't expect anything marvelous or amazing gameplay, it has only 16 Stream processors. I doubt if that card can utilize 1 GB. There may be flickering at those tight turings. But first let the demo come out then we can go for the full game.

Yes, there are some amazing videos on youtube and others. A plant growth of many days compressed to 10 seconds, fruits rotting, Mushroom growth (oew) And this one, a funny stop motion photography. There are tons of other such videos. Have a great watch. Taking such videos/photography requires a saints patience. Even though we don't need to sit beside the camera.

A poll added to this page would be nice. I am sure Filezilla would be the most favorite. Its opensource and is very simple to use. I haven't even tried others, so don't know about them. Have been using it since long time. These programs allow quick way to upload files to the server. But some free hosts limit the number of simultaneous uploads. But still its faster than manually uploading each of the files.

And in Europe the release date is September 17th. Heres the minimum system requirements: This is the minimum system requirements. So you should have better than that for beter game play without any glitches. There are two more released soon after this, Need for Speed: Nitro and Need for Speed: World Online. While the former is an arcade style game, the later is a free-to-play MMO which would be first released in Asia and then the west.

Seems pretty great. With each release EA pumps in more amazing graphics. Although I once loved to play this series, but not anymore. What I am going to tell is just what I feel. In the versions 3, 4, 5 and in even 6 the cars were more realistic. The career modes were very challenging, I mean they were really great. One would need to control them as real cars, without scratches, to get the wining position. And then from the underground series the cars became more like rag dolls. Also I didn't like the idea of underground street racing. You just need to get faster and faster. Since then I haven't played the game since then. But the games getting better and better graphics, I would love to play atleast the demo of this release. BTW heres what I came to know about the release dates: Hitting Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable and PC at the same time.

Yes the logic pro is the second package which costs around 6+ monthly with one time 9.99$ setup fee. Setting up a custom nameserver is a one time fee where we get something like ns1.ourdomain.com instead of ns.computinghost.com.I already got the answer from yordan, we can add addons in the logic pro packagae as we like. Even though they are not present while ordering, we can ask them later. Moreover those two addons have only one time fee.
-
Basically I want to get these adons on Logic pro package which isnt available currently: 1) Google Apps Setup & DNS Configuration 2) Setup Custom Nameserver Additionally I would need shell access, which is needed for a small python script. I think I have to request this separately after getting hosted. Right? Hope mods may help.

Bing! New Search Engine From Microsoft A smart decision Engine
BCD replied to BCD's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yep, I didn't know they will do that so soon. I love the image search of bing. We have so many options to customize the results. You can search for your favourite actor by images with just the faces, head and shoulders, black and white and more. Its really nice, I was wondering how do the algorithm identifies whether the image contains only head or full body. Heres an article on how bing came up: The Science behind Bing. And the video search too is far superior than Google's, again giving us with so many options to choose from. The instant preview on hovering is really useful. Hope to see more features in web search. -
Disable Autoplay In Xp To Reduce The Impact Of Usb Virus
BCD replied to takerraj's topic in Websites and Web Designing
^^winblows funnyPutting a blank-read only file named autorun.inf prevents from malicious scripts auto executing. It can only prevent scripts with extension scr from executing, but wouldn't protect against viruses (obviously). Basically those malicious scr files modify folders, changes the attribute of the folders to hidden and creates dummy folders. I have been using this method, and it works. It prevents he modification of autorun file.I haven't come across any USB viruses. May be, because I have good antivirus installed with regular updates. -

BCD replied to BCD's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Bing is a more advanced search engine than Live search. It uses better algorithm and has features to sort the results according to some specific criteria. Moreover it has better accessibility for common features and is more easy to use than Live search. In future Live search would to be replaced by Bing. -
Bing! New Search Engine From Microsoft A smart decision Engine
BCD replied to BCD's topic in Websites and Web Designing
BSOD on web! Who knows, it might just happen. May be there special servers are trained to give those errors. "Search" and restart, useful shortcut for internet surfers. But seriously, the features are great. And google is not sleeping while all this is happening. Google has regularly released so many features to its gmail and Google search. Many are hidden underneath. Ok, so how many of us here know that there is a "Show options" shown at the top of search results? It basically categories the results by: So its almost the same what the Bing does. The only thing is that Bing is graphic filled with more interactive ways and use of images for the search engine. Also the Bing's home page image changes everyday. -

Heres a list of various articles / news on the web: And here's some interesting pages flying around the web right now: Will it slay Google? What would be the reactions from people after the launch? Will it keep up to the expectations? Please leave your comments.

This topic made me laugh and recall my past memories. I used to do this trick in my school labs. We had to use the same PC for every lab session. I used to make many such folders in D drive (the PC's only had C and D drive), that is one folder named with one null character, the second folder named with two null characters and so on. Students from other batches had there C programs on the PC. Myself being a humble naughty person, used to cut paste their user folders in to these invisible folders. These guys knowing that some mischiefs would have done it, used to literally open each of the invisible folders to find their user folders, and sometimes I even used to make invisible folders inside another invisible folder! I saw a guy doing this when we were leaving the labs. Lol, he probably didn't heard about windows search or windows explorer. Anyway, I did till him about it another day.

Nice start with good articles. You can add the labels gadget if you really want to. But the number of labels you have given right now are just too many. So, you can either reduce those to only the most important ones or even one descriptive label would be enough, or in other case you can keep it the same way as it is without the labels block.Generally labels are useful, if there are many variety of articles from different subjects. Your blog is a specific one, but still you can subdivide them into suitable parts like scam websites, payment proofs, reviews etc. Anyway just keep it geo-targeted. There are tons of blogs like this nowadays and having a unique website especially for Canada might actually attract more interested visitors if not in number of hits.Wishing you good luck in your online money making venture.

I agree with you Atomic0, its difficult to earn with a low traffic website. And earning through other ways is more profitable in the beginning. Showing ads in a newborn website makes it look like a cheap scam website. It is the content which drives the website. There are many paid to blog sites which pay bloggers to write about advertisers products in their own blogs. For a relatively new website, earning through affiliate doesn't help either. Somebody would buy products through another website only if they trust that website. Selling own products online is most profitable but one needs good skills/experience in whatever product he/she is trying to sell. If a person makes a very popular application/script then their are always people who donate generously to these projects. On the whole, earning money through website is not very hard as long as the person is skilled in at least one area.

Firefox is an open source browser whereas Opera is a closed source free browser. As for differences, I think there shouldn't exist any. I mean, the core concept of browsers is to render web pages faithfully. Features come next, now the most popular add ons are available in these two browsers, the only thing which may differ is the user experience with these browsers, which in turn varies from person to person depending upon how he/she uses it.I don't use Firefox for regular browsing. I only use it to do my web development testing. It has very nice web addons for web developers. But more importantly I use it for testing compatibility as it is the most popular browser.I used Opera for regular browsing. Mainly because I like all-in-one applications. Opera has many built-in features like Mail client, Chat client, Bit torrent Client and full fledged download manager all rolled into one. The mail client saves me from logging in to my web mail accounts, as the client notifies me as and when new mail arrives. The most important thing which I like about Opera is tons of accessibility features in every nook and corner. Here are some of them: speed dial for instant access to most visited websites, instant toggling for image disabling/caching/showing on webpages, custom modes (User/Author mode) for viewing a webpage so that I can create my own style sheet for viewing web pages, quick preferences to disable JavaScript and other elements on a page, voice command feature to browse without using mouse or keyboard that is through our own voice, tab duplication, quick notes, ctrl zooming, mouse gestures and still others. Over the past years I have learned to use these features effectively to help improve my browsing experience.

Am a bit confused here. As far as I know , the founder of Xisto is Opaque, the member number one and the founder of Xisto is also Opaque. Then how come this take over happened. You mean Opaque bought over Xisto indirectly through Xisto. Yesterday I was just browsing here when I got to this page: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/86160-topic/?findpost=1064319410. There Opaque mentions the story behind all this. Well I came here through the suggestion of my pen pal through IRC. I need a basic hosting with full fledged features for testing/learning. Currently as I know, there are very few free hosts which offer extensive features (send mail, curl, safe mode off etc. And I have been with them too, but the servers are too slow, and when you use there sendmail, the mails arrive after two or three days! I can't tell anything about Xisto right now, as I haven't got hosting. But I am staying optimistic.

I have been using Opera for a really long time, may be since past 3-4 years. But recently I switched to Chrome for regular browsing. Mainly because I use a lot of Google products like gmail, docs and spreadsheets, youtube, etc. and they all run very smoothly in chrome. But I still continue to use Opera occasionally, just because I'm used to it, its extensive built-in features which come only as add-ons in other browsers.

I think its too early to have an overall opinion about Windows 7. Once it comes out of the Microsoft Labs as a stable release, may be then we can know if it can truly keep up the expectations. About playing games, I had a big time making games run on vista on my friends computer. I hope its not the same with Windows 7. User access control made vista a sort of black box. Every little changes need the admin authentication. Although it can be disabled, but theres still so much of security traps everywhere. On the hardware front, Vista already made enough hype about the high end hardware requirements. Windows 7 has pretty much the same requirements, which would help in easy transition. I have heard that Windows 8 would be a complete recoding of Windows 7 from scrap. But it would take long time to come out and till then Windows 7 would have had its happy stay in the market as an OS.

I recently started to learn databases. Right now I have given a try with MySQL and SQLite. SQLite seems to be the most portable in the sense you don't need a server to run the database. I can quickly backup the databse unlike going through the phpmyadmin in MySQL. Although MySQL is also easy to learn, I will stick with SQLite for some more time before moving on to MySQL.Talking about other databases, they are all proprietary and can't be easily setup. And when MySQL is the most widely used, what is the need of thinking about other such databases? One exception is Oracle which I have heard to be the most powerful database system around.

Its the humans who can try to think of best and logical step than computers. Toby explains that well with that example. Computers need to calculate/process all the combinations to get best step, whereas humans don't do like that. They have what is called intelligence which computers doesn't have in true sense.

This Hosting Review Helps All Of You In Taking A Decision
BCD replied to iGuest's topic in General Discussion
Oh yordan, you get angry so easily. Somedays later when I will put my website link for reviewing, I will also make sure to have a nice 404, specially for you, just in case. sophia, that website is webhosts review website, right? Then how come they are offering 24/7 chat and voice support? Do they offer paid (obviously) support to help people choose the best web host? Just for curiosity I looked at the website, but couldn't find any such service. I liked the faq page though. Its detailed and informative. -
Astahost.com/forum(s) Leads Me To A 404 Not Found
BCD replied to Tenshi's topic in Web Hosting Support
Hi pals. I tried doing it, but lo! Google Chrome auto completes the url for me just after typing "as". I will bookmark Xisto now! Tenshi, may be you could do the same. I know its a lame suggestion, but it works. -
