Yes, Brazil still has enough talent to beat these teams. I appreciate especially Kaka, I think he played a great role in this Confederation Cup.

I also like his music very much. He got great talent, not just the choreography and movements but his voice is memorable.Unfortunately, the surgeries he engaged into were one of his biggest mistakes. At all, I'll rank him one of the best entertainers of all time.

We have also to assume that Windows is more convenient for novices. And because the non Information Technology staff is used to its simplicity, it's even difficult for the Organizations to switch to new environments (Linux). But the gap between the operating systems is decreasing and we started to see more and more Linux systems deployed.

Inscriptions Open For Beta-test Of Office 2010!
karl77 replied to karl77's topic in General Discussion
I was looking at the website of Microsoft, to find a direct download link, but with no success. I wanted to get Office Word 2010, but unfortunately I found that it was designed to work only on Windows XP SP3 and upwards. So no luck for other versions of XP as I can conclude from the posts in their blogs/technet. -
This beta version should be launched in July. The goal is to test many different hardware configurations as well as the 2010 version of: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Project Professional, SharePoint Designer and Visio Pro. If you're selected, you'll receive also a preliminary version of the documentation. This beta version will only be available by download, you'll not receive DVD. If you'd like to participate, go to the like here, and have your Windows Live ID with you. Link: https://connect.microsoft.com/office/Survey;ProgramID=3343 There should be many new features: like WebService button in "external data", Move data for migrations and many more ... Any comments of feedback can be posted here.

What I can say here, is that Google uses a lot of Open Source technologies for sure. I once has a problem with my browser trying to connect to my email account and unluckily got forwarded to an internal error page. So I saw at the bottom of this page that the server is hosted on Redhat Linux with apache web servers. They might use also MySQL on these platforms.

Here is the link to download it: https://www.archlinux.org/download/ You can find a step-by-step install instructions here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Hope this helps. -

Neverthless, there are some improvements in this release. It's more secure but seems to need a lot of disk space (because system files are duplicated). One of the biggest improvements: support for the sensitive screens.

I think Gmail is the best mail service, not only it's free and generous in term of space, but also because of the limited amount of advetising on the screen.?

Broadcom Wireless Card Incompatible With Linux?
karl77 replied to brandonjbegle's topic in Operating Systems
Yes, these issues are confirmed with linux. By defaut the drivers of the wireless card are not shipped with linux, moreover, I read that the distribution should include the newer kernels (2.6.21+). Broadcom recently released the native driver that should be compiled on your distribution --> their website: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ See first, if it supports your BCM card type, and then follow the provided instruction to install it. Hope this helps. -
For those who find difficulties with .VOB media files, they are numerous software: ?http://www.dvdvideoconverter.com/vob/ , but usually commercial. So, you can play them just by renaming these files to .MPG files because they're normally MPEG-2 files, if it does not work try the VLC Media Player.

If you'd like to try the darwin under intel processor, here is the link to download the free ISO image: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (this is the last binary available fron their website). Still, this misses a lot of applications comparing to the Mac OS. -
