I'm struggling to find the time to keep my hosting credits up due to work and college pressures, so I'm considering switching to a paid account .... how easy would this be? I want to keep cpanel and don't really want to move my site .... if I went with say Xisto - Web Hosting.com would I be able to keep my site where it is, but just switch servers? I would still want to be able to post on Xisto forum as well, but just not as frequently .... would that be possible? I already have my own domain name ....

I'm so glad it's finished for another year .... it completely dominates Channel 4's scheduling for months .... can't wait for the cricket season to be over .... then all will be well again .....

Is God To Blame? Who is to blame for the pain around us?
Milovoriel replied to wild20's topic in General Discussion
sometimes life is so awful and you can't find a specific person to blame (ie mass deaths due to acts of nature) .... you have to do something with your grief and anger so you blame a "God" , a so called "higher being" .... because in this instance who else can you blame? .... and by our action or inaction I believe we're are all responsible for someones suffering at some point .... blaming a "God" is just shifting that responsibility so we don't have to deal with guilt .... -
Smoking Is Bad For Sex Life Cigarette turns woman Ugly
Milovoriel replied to ManOfSTEEL's topic in Health & Fitness
problem is flower, you'd be hard pressed to find a British man that can sustain 40 minutes of "luv making"! .... you'd be lucky if you got him passed the 4 minute mark! .... oh well, pass me the *BLEEP* (cigarettes)! -
I've just watched Hero .... and cried for 10 minutes solid at the end .... what a film .... visually stunning, a complex plotline and a gut wrenchingly moving story.... outstanding action sequences and an original score .... loved it! .... I feel a bit wrecked .... gonna watch it again after a nice comforting cup of tea .... oh, and if you're gonna watch it a wee tip .... don't watch the dubbed version if you can help it .... it won't do the film justice, so opt for the subtitled version ....

In the UK, our networks are infested with reality TV .... I think we only have about another week left of Big Brother .... I've tuned a couple of times, just to stay in the loop, but had to switch over sharpish as I've never seen such a bunch of useless nomarks in my life .... do the people who take part in this crud forget that they have to rejoin society at some point? .... how do they look friends and family in the eye after behaving so appalling on public television? .... I hope eventually that people will get thoroughly bored with this cheap and tacky programming? .... give me a good drama, film or documentary any day of the week .... I expect to be entertained or educated when I watch the telly .... not feel physically sick with disgust! ....

Marriage I think its a waste of time, and money
Milovoriel replied to Nani Cheri's topic in Dating And Relationships
~ Marriage is like chickenpox or measles .... best to get it out the way when you're young ~ then you can spend the rest of your life free and easy .... cause' nothing is forever anyway .... when it works, it's fab .... however, I see so many unhappy marriages, it makes me kinda cynical .... we all die alone anyway .... and on that cheerie note .... Bye! xx -
some good news for a change .... I'm heartily sick of only hearing about the ills of the world .... this news item was a testament to the courage of all concerned .... warmed the cockles of my heart so it did! ....

Personality Disorder Test How are you...really?
Milovoriel replied to JaVe's topic in General Discussion
it's official then .... I'm off my chump! .... who knew? .... well my friends for one .... I've taken the test before and they all agreed with the results why worry? .... I'm too mad to care! -
this has always been my mantra when I'm arguing "life after death" scenario's .... if people need to believe they'll live on after death in order to cope with Death itself, then so be it .... I'm all for coping mechanisms .... but I personally believe that when we die, that's it .... GAME OVER! .... it's interesting to read the posts above though .... many of you who have some kind of religious belief seem to still have doubts about life after death .... I'm quite suprised at that .... I thought you'd have a blanket faith on this subject .... glad to see that you have a faith but can still challenge some of its components .... I think that the only way we live on is in other people's memories ....

Robin Cook died suddenly yesterday after collapsing whilst on a walk with his wife in his native Scotland ..... A leading UK parliamentarian, he showed true integrity by voting against his own party re going to war with Iraq, stating that he "could not support the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq without the agreement of the United Nations" .... he then resigned from the Government in protest .... A former UK foreign secretary from 1997-2001, he would have perhaps reached the heights of Prime Minister had it not been for "issues" in his personal life .... he is reported to have had numerous affairs .... silly man! Mr Cook was highly respected on all sides of the House of Commons for his intelligect and strong principles .... he was a fearsome debater and apparently did "not suffer fools gladly".... It is rumoured that he may have returned to Government in the near future .... a sad day! .... 1946 - 2005

how many hours can you spend in the company of your parents without wanting to cheerfully jump in front of a high speed vehicle?.... I've just said a merry "cheerio" to my lovely parents after they came for a 5 day visit .... what a god awful nightmare .... not their fault I hasten to add .... it's just that their "little ways" somehow manage to get under my skin and make me want to "rip it off"!! ....oh the relief of saying "Goodbye" and knowing that I don't have to see them again for 5 months (the joy of the dreaded xmas season!) .... .... although I speak on the phone with them every other day and I cope fine with that .... still, am I evil personified? .... I love them dearly .... over the phone .... many miles away .... many, many miles away .... my son probably feels exactly the same way about me ..... ah, the circle of life ....

Reinstalling Everything On Your Computer It Is Very Annoying
Milovoriel replied to wariorpk's topic in The Vent
I had to reinstall everything last week .... by the time I'd backed up files, reinstalled windows updates and a miriad of other little programmes I use on my system .... it was an all day job .... I can think of better ways of spending my day off .... or can I??? -
Break-ups are awful .... but if you're with the wrong person, then there's no point in dragging it out .... I split with my ex husband 12 years ago .... at the time I thought I would die it hurt so much .... I'd never cope without him .... it took about 12-18 months and I had gone from being in the worst kind of heartache to not giving a s#!* .... moving away from the area where we had lived together helped .... cut off all contact, why torture yourself? .... by the time he remarried, which was about 2 years after we split I was relieved that he was with somebody else and I was rid of him .... and now I'm so happy that we divorced and so is my son although he has always had regular contact with his father .... everyone kept telling me when I was hurting bad to just give it "time" .... "times a great healer" and I think, oh go to hell! what do you know? .... but they were right .... time is the key! I noticed that someone else posted "you can never be friends with an ex" .... never say never, but in my opinion, they're dead right! .... move on and find someone worthy of your time, luv and energy ....

Best way for me has always been a low fat, high fibre diet and some form of exercise on a regular basis .... you don't have to kill yourself though .... a 20 minute brisk walk a day or 1/2 hour swimming is ample .... and you should try to lose the weight gradually .... maybe 4-5lbs first week and then 1-2lbs a week after that .... lose too much weight over a short time frame and you'll probably struggle to keep it off .... the thing is, it's really difficult to keep the weight off permanently .... it really has to be a long term change of life style and few of us last the course ....
-
A new series of one of my favourite comedy programmes has just started it's run .... "Still Game" .... made by BBC Scotland, it's very Scottish .... dry, near the knuckle humour .... I was ill from laughing last night .... what a great way to start the weekend! ....

has the death toll now reached over 800? .... it's dreadfully sad and should get more news coverage than it is here in Britain .... there's a real fear of water borne disease spreading throughout the area .... we were just discussing this issue this morning .... a news item about looting of an area in Birmingham that suffered some structural damage after a freak tornado a few days ago, was judged to be of more import than the deaths of over 800 people in India .... ridiculous .... news editors should be ashamed ....

London Bombers Arrested! Link to news site
Milovoriel replied to Goosestaf's topic in General Discussion
you get extremists in all religious groups .... it's not particular to Islam .... I've read some literature by far right Christian groups that is appalling .... I feel really sorry for Muslims at the moment as they may be judged as supporters of extremists, just because they share the same religion .... but anybody who has any sense would know that the actions of Islamic Fundamentalists are not true representations of the majority of Muslims, who are peace loving, ordinary citizens .... -
London Bombings Aftermath ...two people murdered...

Let's hope you don't need the assistance of the British police when you're visiting London, Brainless .... or would it go against your principles to ask them for help? .... -
London Bombings Aftermath ...two people murdered...
Milovoriel replied to brainless's topic in General Discussion
God, Brainless you really have got it in for the British police .... they made a huge mistake shooting that poor Brazilian guy and I can only offer my sympathies to his family and friends .... yeah, even if they had thought he was a terrorist, why pump 5 bullets into the guy, why not just immobilise him? I've no answer for this .... but I've no doubt someone will have to be held accountable .... and quite right too, it's inexcusable .... London is reeling from the last two weeks .... first the bombings which killed over 50 people and injured 300 more and then, a week later 4 other bombs went off .... again targetting the tube and bus services .... this time, fortunately the bombs apparently failed to detonate properly so no injuries .... We're living in uncertain times and need some form of stability .... the police are part of our infrastructure .... we need them .... there far from perfect, but when I look at the security services in other countries around the world, I think we here in Britain are quite fortunate. You don't even live in this country Brainless .... so could you keep your anti-British police rhetoric to yourself .... we really could do without it just now, thank you very much!
